Great staff and great food. Nice dinner.
Lovely evening out...The Hen was fabulous, wine-pairing with the desert was so perfect! ♥️
My guest Bernard loved his chickapee fritters...
The noise from the drunk woman was a bit annoying but what to do ? 🤷🏼♀️
We will for sure visit again.
Always love coming here!! Have been here several times recently and everything is fabulous but would love it if the music could be turned down slightly!!
Food was nice the crab salad was a
Little too small for a 20 something meal. The cheese cake was so tiny felt a little ripped off for the price. Our server was exceptional !
Very good food at reasonable prices. This is a great place to come for an amazing experience!
Great food, service and ambient room. It's our new favorite spot for dinner. Will be back soon!
We love Old Vines usually..always top quality food and service and that’s why we joined as members. Unfortunately our last experience was a challenge around making reservations during what is considered Happy Hour. Apparently this is not allowed although the system allows and was communicated to us just before paying bill. Suggestion is to be more transparent on website for future patrons experiences
Quail's Gate (Old Vines) has always been a favourite, but after our last visit, we found the food did not meet what we have come to expect. Maybe this is because of COVID-19 or maybe because we ordered from the lunch special menu, which is a great value for $35 for three courses. Grilled carrots on tahini were great (the other option for a starter -- shredded cabbage salad -- was not as good). Pork loin for a main was cooked nicely, but the puree, steamed greens and tater tots were (sorry!) kind of cafeteria-like, and the banana sticky-toffee pudding was really just a dryish piece of banana bread with banana puree on top. We still love this restaurant and will try it again soon.
Food was amazing! Service was great.
We enjoyed our brunch very much! The waiter was great and the food was well priced. P.s. Try the waffles
Old Vines is where we celebrate special events and usually we are somewhere warm at this time of year. So it was a bit sad not to be in Bali.
As usual the meal was exceptional. I had the Cornish Game hen which was enormous and incredibly tasty. My spouse had the Ling Cod which was also well prepared and flavourful. Also 'perfectly cooked'.
No-one would ever accuse Old Vines of being inexpensive and it did not disappoint. Given that they share the property with Quail's Gate Winery the markup is very easy to calculate. The best way to enjoy wine and a meal is to schedule a special wine tasting at the winery and then follow up with a glass or half litre at mealtime.
Our table was in the middle of the restaurant which was not our preference indicated. But all was well.
Amazing food and service. It was a prefect for a romantic dinner
Felt very safe in relation to covid protocols, the food was incredible, particularly the bison carpaccio and the desert. Service was also top notch, can’t wait to go back!
Fabulous service, wine, and quality of food!
Everything about the meal and service was wonderful, and here comes the "but." This review would have had all 5's except: "When did restaurants start charging $2.00 for a drop of maple syrup with a waffle?"
I love the Old Vines restaurant and I've had many great meals there, but let's be a little more realistic.
It is always a special experience to enjoy a meal at Quails Gate! The food, the service and the ambience are all spectacular!
I ate there numerous time in the past and didn’t enjoy it. However last night Jan 2021 it was amazing. Not sure if they got a new chef or what. But keep up the good work quails.
The food is always excellent, so glad to see sable fish on the menu. Thank you.
if i tell you how amazing this place is i may not be able to secure my next reservation. so... ;)
Amazing staff and food.
As always Quails Gate was fabulous
During these difficult times they have pulled out all of the stops to make everything enjoyable
rib eyes were delicious, the beef carpaccio was so good. Everything was top notch and so was the service.
The wrong potatoes were put on my plate and my husband’s plate. My fish portion small, oily and no flavour. My sablefish I presume was oil poached. The temperature of the oil it was cooked in was not the right temperature so all the oil got absorbed in the fish. Dauphinois potatoes were served with my sablefish which were good but they were supposed to be with the lamb. My husband’s lamb was undercooked and tough to chew. Missed the Mark this time
Excellent food and service.
One of the most consistent restaurants in the okanagan as far as excellent food and service!
We went to Quails Gate to celebrate our engagement. It was beautiful and is still one of the best places to get world-class food in the Okanagan. Will always recommend highly.
A must-visit restaurant in West Bank. A beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains, an excellent menu well executed, and a nice ambiance. We've been visiting this place since it opened (when it was just a lovely patio) and it has continued to maintain high standards. The only downside is that service can be spotty - not attitude, but training. That said, our recent visit was good: the servers were professional and knowledgeable, and very kind. Highly recommended.
The angnolotti was outstanding. Highly recommend it along with the white flight.
We really enjoyed our time, the food was and is fabulous. I would go there more but I live in kelowna.
The wine pairing was perfect, we will be seeing you soon.
Thank you for everything.
Service was on point for every little thing. Never went without anything we needed or wanted. Super knowledgeable friendly staff from the first step in the door through out our entire experience. Food was absolutely incredible. We had the 4 course feature menu and every course was phenomenal, timing was perfect and portions were just the right size! Thank you for a wonderful experience! We will be back 😊
Food was really good, but took way to long to come, for a 7:30 reservation, was well after 9 before the main course arrived. Not too sure but think either the server or kitchen lost our order. Server told us twice that it 2 diners were being plated and out in a minute, but still took 20 minutes from them. Sorry, just wasn’t a great experience.
We were celebrating the purchase of our new home in West K, moving from Montreal. Had heard very wonderful reviews about Quali’s Gate, and everything was perfect. Best oysters ever! Great wine pairing. The perfect evening thru and thru.
I have enjoyed everything except for baked mashed potato and the lack of vegetarian options on the menu. I think mashed potato should be mashed potato as we know it, it doesn’t need any additions or twists, that’s why we love it - just the way we ate it as kids!
A perfect place to go to enjoy the life. I loved this plice.
Food was mostly good. I ordered the rib eye and asked for medium well (now the standard for no pink). A gentleman came over shortly after and cautioned me that steak may be tough. I advised I just didn’t want the steak pink, and to call that whatever the chief liked. Steak was served pretty much burnt. Far beyond medium well, more very Very well done, which was not what I requested. I didn’t complain and tried my best to finish it but couldn’t. It was fairly obvious that it was significantly over cooked. A shame really as it reflected badly on the balance of the meal which was very good. Pricey for what we got. Regret not going to the Keg.
Amazing dinner during this Xmas pandemic! Service was top notch and food was mouth watering!!! Wine was also amazing!!!
Service and food was excellent. Atmosphere was an equal. However, we were seated by a door that was accommodating servers who were serving patrons sitting around the outside fire and every time the door opened we were treated to a blast of fridgid air. Not very pleasant.
The only critic was she brought the food before taking our wine order and delivered the food when one of us was in the bathroom.
Albeit the wine came very quickly after. It was a great day and it really wasn’t a problem but sharing because some people might be more particular than we were... so just to help you
A great afternoon with my boys honouring my moms passing and bringing in a covid Friendly Christmas
Delicious meal, great service. We appreciate Old Vines going to great length to keep their staff and clientele safe.
Easily one of the best restaurants Kelowna, absolutely cannot go wrong
