A very quiet and intimate dining experience. The food was excellent and we enjoyed celebrating our anniversary there.
With this price, we have tried better Omakase and with more filling dishes. We went there for lunch and still felt hungry after the meal. The service and environment were nice.

Blatant robbery. Starting from the first dish, we were greeted with tasteless fish and gimmicky yet uncreative choices of ingredients. They had *sesame paste* on sashimi, which should be illegal.

Amazing experience. Some of the most incredible bites I’ve had in my life. Not super full after so be prepared for that, but that’s not the point of this experience. I’m blown away. Everything was delicious.

The food was excellent, but way overpriced. Increased the price for Omakase to $300 per person, but food does not support this price. There are several places to get high quality Omakase, which is the same quality at a much better value. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Authentic Japanese Omakase! The chef is very professional! The sashimi is fresh! I like how the sauce combined with the sashimi together!! But Personally I prefer drier rice in the sushi. They are too wet for me tho.
The food was great but the overall experience was a bit lacking for a 1 Michelin star omakase. Granted we came for lunch so I didn’t expect the full dinner treatment, but we left feeling a bit lacking for a $200/person meal.

The omakase was extremely creative and tasty. When it came to the last few sushi dishes, I was too full to enjoy them. Go with an empty stomach definitely will help enjoying the food better.
The most beautifully crafted meal we've ever had. Watching the chef work his artistry was elegant and magical. Truly the best Omakase we've ever experienced and worth every penny. The service was impeccable and we can't wait to go back again soon!

One of the best sushi experiences I had recently. I have had Michelin-rated sushi experiences but none other than this! The dining room was quiet, "masculine", I love the wooden theme in regards to decor. The food was out of this world! Chef Hiro clearly demonstrates his technique, passion, and precision on the tasting menu. The service was also amazing, she was present but not overcrowding during my dining reservation. She anticipated refilling my green tea at the perfect time. Not only she was knowledgeable but very kind and hospitable. My only complaint was the price, I had a similar 1-star sushi experience and it cost 1/2 of what I had but nevertheless, I loved everything from the moment I entered to the moment I left. I felt as if I was at home being cared for and the food delivered time and time again. I also loved the huge variety of seafood Chef Hiro offered. Thank you so much!

Q was a very special experience. The ambiance and music was perfect, and the presentation felt like live theater. The selection of fish was incredible.
We were there last Friday to celebrate our 5th anniversary. It was quite and the interior Deco was well mixed of Chineses and Japanese deco. We were so excited about the food and we couldn't wait to taste our first dish. Food is avg sushi taste not worth $200 per person. I have been to many Michelin Japanese restaurants in many different countries and cities. The food wasn't outstanding, just an ave high-end restaurant level. Most of the time the server stayed inside the kitchen so that I couldn't ask for a glass of water. I was paying $600 for a dinner without a glass of water so I had to ask Chef. T
Ambiance, service, and food is what we pay for the dinner ($200), however, none of them were satisfied. 20% tips charged with the bill is not worth it.

Having experienced the very best NYC has to offer in terms of Omakase left me anxious and eager to attend with my wife. Absolutely phenomenal. The red snapper was fantastic. Sake pairings were excellent. The pacing was great and seemed to evolve in ways that made sense yet enlightened your senses. Next time I’m in town for business I’ll be sure to make another reservation. Much better than NYC offerings like Sushi Nakazawa $350 Omakases. This is my new benchmark for high end sushi. Yet another reason to move from NYC to LA.

Very good food great cuts of fish. Would have been even better with one cooked item and or a piece of grade A5 wagu. The desert was really tradition but lack luster. I feel it needs something to really wow u the end.

Fantastic dining experience. Chef Hiro provides an amazing omakase in a traditional style with some of the best ingredients. Atmosphere and ambience is intimate and personal as he serves a limited number of diners each night so every piece of sushi is hand prepared b y him. A top class meal worthy of its Michelin star rating.
My husband and I were looking for a great sushi place to eat at on Valentine’s Day in LA. We are from Dallas and are used to spending extra to eat at 5 star restaurants where the fish is flown in daily from japan. The fish did seem slightly more fresh sans the extra 3 hour flight to Texas, which was a pleasant surprise.
With that being said, $525 total for omakase (we didn’t drink alcohol) for 2 should come with a better dining experience. Maybe a little more explanation about the fish and where it is from... maybe enforcing the “no pictures” rule. Not quite sure, but something was lacking.
This place was okay, but we’ll be going somewhere else next time we’re in LA. Also, the valet is part of another establishment next door which made the wait quite long. Not really sure how this place made the Michelin guide. Dinner felt somewhat rushed.
My biggest issue was with the final course— the egg cake. A traditional ending to omakase that was ruined when the chef placed the cake on the same surface he was cutting fish on. It was as if we could taste all 20 courses all over again. My suggestion would be to ditch desert, or find a more sanitary place to slice it.
Not particularly exciting sushi. Standard. I asked for just hot sake since the saki was pretty exclusive. It was $65. Didn’t seem worth it.
