View Private Dining DetailsGreat food and in a prime location above the river walk.
Pasta buffet was good. Salad, bread, dessert was included as well.
Taste was very good.
We had a late breakfast which was very good! The ingredients were very fresh and the menu item selection was unique. I would have tried several things on the menu. Service was great too!
We thoroughly enjoyed the Holiday Dinner buffet at Q's. Totally worth the price. The grouper and cornbread crusted chicken were fantastic! The side dishes were quite good too. Especially the Maple Bourbon Sweet Potatoes. Good flavor, not too sweet and the maple and Bourbon accentuated and did not cover up the flavor of the sweet potatoes. Desserts was top notch. The Chocolate Mousse Cake was amazing!
Our hostess and server were lovely. They were friendly and helpful. Our server was quick to refill our water glasses and coffee. He also made sure to clear our plates promptly and anticipated our need for new utensils.
Excellent choice for Christmas dinner.
My family and I went to restaurant for Christmas dinner. It is usually only open for breakfast and lunch according to waiter.
Hostess was awesome. Waiter was helpful and nice overall. When it came time to divide the check, his attitude was no longer helpful.
Food was bland and cold. Buffet options were limited, especially for the price ($37 without drink) and ocassion. Eventhough it was a buffet, and we were a party of 4, 18% gratuity was automatically charged. I definitely would not have tipped 18% if it was not automatically included.
Good thing valet parking can be validated for 3 hours because the extra cost would have made the experience completely awful.
I don't know how this place is for lunch or breakfast, but i would not recommend it for special occassions.
Christmas buffet
Service was great. Christmas buffet was disappointing.
Great Christmas Brunch. Not a huge variety but just enough to make you happy.
We had our Thanksgiving meal at Q and the food was outstanding.
Awesome service. I asked for malt vinegar and they didn't have any so the manager ran out to the store and got it for me. All service was above and beyond!
Great food but it took a long time and they weren't busy.
Great value forafor a buffet brunch. Mimosas after 10 am.
Great daily pasta bar, always delicious!
Parking, Food & service excellent -- Mimosas a really nice accent to meal -- Carlos took very good care of us. We always enjoy holiday meals here...no grocery store, cooking, clean-up or leftovers! Thank you Hyatt!
We had lunch during a conference at the hotel. Service was quick and good.
Spent New Year's Eve here ... we were in evening attire, but several guests were in jeans ... took away from the experience. Our waiter, Roland was very attentive and the food selection was great. Probably would not return for New Year's Eve, but would certainly consider for brunch/lunch.
The service was great. I was surprised at the cost for the food provided. We dine often at similar type of restaurants and this was overpriced.
A good dinner but not outstanding. Too many customers for the number of servers.
Exceptional environment & customer service from parking through meal -- food selection 4 Star -- prime rib rare would have moved us to 5 star on food!
Initially we were very disappointed to be put in the back room. The room was very drab not festive and very disappointing. However when I went to the outlet manager Joanna Klein she was more than accommodating and put us in the main room. She checked on us and made sure we were OK. The servers were great. The buffet was wonderful. The food was delicious. Many thanks to Joanna for saving the day.
Dinner was tasteless and the organization was poor. Would not repeat or recommend to anyone.
We couldn't have picked a better choice for a Thanksgiving dinner. The food was outstanding, the server attentive, and the hostesses gracious as we waited for our table. Kudos to all, but special thanks to the kitchen staff that put together the variety of foods that made a meal to remember for many Thanksgivings to come.
Turkey very succulent, salmon very tender and tasty! Husband loved the oysters. Everything was perfect! Mimosas a little too strong for me though and not enough orange juice. Desserts very good. No more cooking for us!
I recently went to Q kitchen for a Mother's day Breakfast. Our server seemed really unhappy to be there and was quite terse and unfriendly. Two of my guests ordered the buffet and had placed a plate of fruit on the table while she went back to get her egg selection, the server tried to charge us for the fruit, thinking that another guest had gotten it, I though this to be quite petty since we had paid for 2 buffets and couldn't possibly even take advantage of that considering the price. Myself and 3 other guests had ordered off the menu and by the time I received my meal it was cold and not very good. I had ordered the eggs benedict and I hardly had any hollandaise sauce on eggs at all. I asked for more and my server brought back the tiniest portion I had ever seen, it was like a tablespoon of sauce. The sauce lacked flavor and was completely missing lemon which is a main ingredient. The english muffins were soggy and the eggs over cooked ( I asked for soft). We tried to order mimosas, but were not allowed because it was not 10:00am in TX, but when it did become 10:00, we were just given the bill and not asked if we would like our mimosas. All in all, I was very disappointed in my experience with Q Kitchen and would not recommend them.
Set up dinner for family and friends at the Q-Kitchen. Was told there would be certain items on the buffet when I called to make a reservation. I was told about the items and then directed to opentable to make my reservation. I was very disappointed when those items were not on the buffet. Food was OK at best. I've worked on Thanksgiving before and I know it isn't ideal not to be with your friends and family that night. However, I was disappointed that the manager picked staff that did not normally serve dinner and were very unfamiliar with the menu and drink options. Additionally, I never got a refill on my drink.
Excellent Thanksgiving lunch. The turkey was done to perfection with all the great trimmings. The sides were excellent as well. Will go again.
Great food, great price, great service, and a nice variety. I will go again for Christmas.
This is the first time we have eaten here and we had Thanksgiving Brunch Wejust loved it. The food was fabulous, which is even more impressive considering it was served buffet style. The menu was diverse and plentiful. Roland, our waiter, was very attentive and pleasant. All around great choice and we strongly recommend to anyone. We will be back for just a regular meal soon.
*Desserts were lacking and even whipped cream was not available; only upon request
*Hot chocolate/white hot choc dessert drinks could have also been made available for children with mini marshmellows/whipped cream/fun peppermint sticks, etc.
*White chocolate desserts were not available, only candy
*Mixed fruits with a liquor glaze/creme for those who want something not so heavy
Great flavors but learned the restaurant is closing its doors for dinner after Labor Day-only available now for breakfast and lunch. Too bad-it was a great alternative to the typical Riverwalk restaurant.
Had a group of 7 only 3 menus in restaurant. No others in the establishment when we arrived. Kitchen not active. Very dissapointing.
I wanted to try a goodbye as BBQ, and I found this jewel!! Woundeful taste BBQ with real gourmet taste and appareance, the beans as the underbelly meats were just fantastic!
The menu has been reduced to the basics and what remains is bland, tough and on par with a low-budget buffet. The only redeeming dish was the crab cake, recommended by the server, which delivered large lumps of crab and a nice sear. When a San Antonio restaurant can't put any heat into the queso, you know you're in trouble. Sad. No wonder it was empty. Please reboot this kitchen!
everything about this place is deceptive: first the name... no it's not on the riverwalk, it's tucked away in the hotel lobby with the only windows overlooking a rather dismal section of Losoya St. (our waitress suggested that Hyatt was considering changing the restaurant name. really?). there is no "open kitchen" (as implied by it's Zagat description), in fact we doubted that there was even a chef on duty... the (Sisco?) ribs appeared to be taken straight out of a plastic bag and reheated in a microwave by a bellhop moonlighting in the kitchen. the entire time we were there only two other couples dared enter the dining room... a sure sign of restaurant death. we should have gone elsewhere... it was terrible!
Everything was excellent accept the service. My waitress seemed to find her way to every table accept mine until I pressed the issue further w/ the greeter and management. The food and ambience were superb. Overall the experience was ok.
Had a fantastic meal at Q on Saturday May 31.
Got the underbelly platter. More than enough food and soooo very tasty and tender.
The chef came over before dinner, during dinner and after. She was great.
This should not be called resturant .... They reheat the food in a microwave .... Food is terrible as well as the service.
Being housed in the Hyatt Regency, you would think the restaurant would strive to be an excellent place to eat. On the contrary, the food was actually some of the worst we had in San Antonio. Very low quality and what appeared to be warmed over ribs was not what we expected.
My wife and I took her Mom here for lunch after looking at a variety of restaurants. this one had great reviews and looked good and it was right downtown which is what we were looking for. The brunch was delicious! Great assortment of food from the Prime Rib, to Ham to the fresh shrimp, oysters and mussels. The BBQ Bison was very good. Was not disappointed. This was a brunch that had it all but was not so overwhelming by too many choices. The food was very fresh and replenished often. Highly recommend.
There was a miscommunication with our booking, but the management was fantastic about rectifying the situation. The buffet selection was broad and the dessert table items were delicious!
