Pyramid Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
We were spending the night in the hotel, celebrating our anniversary. We enjoyed the food -- creative, flavorful, all around nice meal and service was good.
But all of this goodness was spoiled by the loudness of the large party several tables away. It was difficult to have a quiet conversation with the noise. In addition, we felt overdressed. I was wearing a jacket, not even "Sunday best", but definitely more than T-shirt and jeans, or even the casual dress that the servers had.
So, if you're looking for a really nice place for an intimate evening, this may not be the best choice. But if casual ambience with good food is what you seek, you'll probably be happy here.
We came here looking to repeat our dining experience from a few weeks ago because the food was so good! We ordered soup and salads before telling waiter our entree choice. When he finally came to ask us what we would like he dropped his head and said,"Oh I should have told you at the beginning , we no longer have that menu item." It's what we both wanted. So disappointing! We are vegetarians and there was only one other item to choose from.
We had a party of 10 and were seated in a separate room. We requested to be in and out in 45 minutes and we did it! Staff was quick, attentive, and cheerful! The food was yummy! This is one of my favorite lunch spots! They treat us like royalty, every time!
The hostess -- while it is apparent she wants to be everybody's best friend -- can be very annoying. She is a sweet woman and means well, but geeezzz --I am not looking for a new BF when I'm having brunch with my husband. She's overbearing and I think someone needs to address this with her. The food: my husband liked what he ordered, but I did not like anything I ordered and my husband agreed. So, be careful with your choices. Nonetheless, it was a nice experience -- ok, somewhat nice.
We went for a Friday lunch as our "date night." The food was excellent. The service was very good and ensured our water was always filled. The dining room had a quiet, relaxed atmosphere - just what we needed on a hectic Friday. We decided we need to do this more often - what a great way to start the weekend. We look forward to coming back.
Another fantastic meal. This time we were here for restaurant week. The shrimp risotto was dynamite. I also had the Arctic Char, which was good. I finished with the panna cotta. I've ordered a couple of bottles under $80 and both times they were disappointing. But the expensive ones, or better yet go by the glass. Their wine tastes like the bottles have been sitting in the heat. Fantastic meal otherwise.
Went here for restaurant week and really enjoyed the food. The watermelon gazpacho soup and risotto were delicious. Presentation was great on the deserts. The best part of this dinner was actually the waiter Gustavo. Great service and friendly. Ask for him if you go.
Our table was ready as soon as we arrived and we were early. They met our request to be in and out in 45 minutes (we had a party of 6 and our orders were not identical)! Very cheerful staff, delicious food and ample portions (several in our party needed a box for leftovers). Sorry we didn't have time for desserts!
We had a great experience at this location!! The people were very personable and very attentive!! Everyone who walked by always checked to see if we needed anything!! The lady that sat us (hostess) was so super nice!! And our service was outstanding through out our lunch. I was very impressed with our entire experience!! They even offered us the chicken and waffles which wasn't on the menu and they were wonderful!!
Their grilled breakfast potatoes were the best. Sausage tasty but lukewarm. Fairmont tea always delicious. Staff very willing to help. Custom cooked eggs grain toast milk for tea black napkin were all served with a smile. Meant to try homemade granola. Next time !
A wonderful experience for me and my husband on the Thursday evening. We were lucky enough to have been offered a free appetizer and advanced as well by one of the managers which made it even more exciting. The food was fantastic and our server was very attentive and friendly.
First, I would like to give 4.5 stars for Overall and Service, if that was an option. This was a very good meal. My filet mignon was absolutely excellent, melt-in-your-mouth. I honestly couldn't believe how tender the meat was, and how perfectly it was cooked. Cocktails were also very, very good. Other food dishes were good but not exceptional. Service was very good. The Pyramid space and ambiance are strange to me. The room is not intimate, and I can't discern any cohesive theme to the restaurant or the experience.
