PY offers the quality food and service you would expect at a top-notch steakhouse at a reasonable price. Their steaks are perfectly prepared every time. Their sides change regularly and are always delicious. Wait staff is attentive and courteous without exception.
My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here. It was the most incredible dining experience we had. The staff made it so much more amazing. The food was incredible and LARGE, we had the fried calamari which was my favorite part of the meal. He had the cowboy ribeye Oscar style and I had the Alaskan king crab legs which every thing tasted amazing. The drinks were super tasty and the complimentary desert was exquisite. We will definitely be back!
It was the second time my wife and I have been there and the service and food each time was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions and when they heard it was our anniversary we got a complimentary dessert which was amazing!(cheesecake). My wife always uses steak sauce and this is the one place she has no problem eating your steaks just the way they are prepared. Perfectly! Thankyou soo much for making our anniversary slash mothers day a great experience!!
Great date night for my husband's birthday. We made a reservation for PY Steakhouse and ate there before attending a concert at AVA at the Casino. Great food, great service.
We’ve been to PY Steakhouse twice now and enjoy it very much for a special occasion. This time it was the Wednesday prime rib special which was very good.
Amazing food! Recommend the crab cakes, filet and Brussels. Great cocktails too .
My husband and I did a weekend stay at the resort. Even though it is a small restaurant and the front door is right there close to the casino/slot action, the service was excellent and the food was pleasantly and surprisingly wonderful! We did the wedge salad, filets, mashed potatoes and parmesan peas,(which I must say-- were the best peas I've had, and I'm not a pea fan in general). Everything tasted excellent. Highly recommend...
a word of advice is that the entire resort is very casual, unfortunately. I was looking forward to dressing up for dinner but we were overdressed, as it is Tucson....and apparently everyone lives in shorts and jeans. :(
Best food in Tucson. Period. Best value wine list that I’ve seen in a fine dining restaurant. Besides prime steaks, 2nd best fish dish ever - perfect crispy skin and temperature Stone Bass (Guy Savoy the best).
The food and service were amazing! I would highly recommend the fried brussel sprouts. We’ll be coming back :)
Server Dean was on point
exceptional service, fabulous food, cannot wait to return and try the chef's surprise 5 course pairing meal
From the moment we were greeted and until we left the restaurant, we received the most wonderful hospitality, care, service and food. The menu always contains creative items to try and everything is consistently delicious. This is my favorite restaurant and I always bring my friends here to share the great people and food with me.
This was a very disappointing experience, for one reason only. Otherwise it would have been excellent.
On the positive side the room was very nice, service was excellent, cocktails were interesting and very good, the wine list was good (if somewhat expensive), appetizers were very good, as was dessert. After we finished our first courses we felt PY Steakhouse should be one of the best restaurants in the Tucson area, if not in all of Arizona. Unfortunately, then came the main course, the steak. We ordered the porterhouse steak, medium rare, for $75. Not an unfair price, since we shared it and there was plenty for both of us. But, it was terrible, one of the worst steaks we have ever had. The steak seemed more like it was boiled, not broiled or grilled. Even though parts of it could have been called "medium rare", for the most part it had an odd grey color and no flavor at all. The only thing that made it edible at all were some accompanying sauces that were actually quite good and provided at least some flavor.
Since we had been to PY Steakhouse once before, a few years ago, and do not remember a problem with the steaks, this could have been a one time problem, or something about how the porterhouse was prepared. In any case the terrible "signature" dish ruined an otherwise excellent meal.
Since we remember no such problems on our previous visit, and the rest of the meal was so good, we will probably return for one more chance, but will definitely not order the porterhouse.
Excellent service and food. Have eaten here a number of times and has never disappointed. Not the cheapest place to eat but well worth the money.
Had a great experience at PY. The whole service was great. The food was amazing. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 star was because we were charged for 2 extra things , one was a mistake because the wrong side was brought out and other was a free dessert.
Our golf group visited Tucson and I made reservations at PY Steakhouse initially for 12.
That number became a moving target ultimately ending up at 16 people. The management
was very accommodating in the uncertainty of the final number of guests. We were seated
in the wine room which was very cozy and quiet considering the size of our group. The service was excellent and the food came out all at once which was a feat for that many people. Most
in our group had steak, a few had the seasonal Halibut prepared with Spanish chorizo and spinach. My filet mignon and those seated immediately around me had their steak prepared
just the way they had ordered it. My wife likes hers well done which is often problematic at many steakhouses. She was very pleased with the way her steak was prepared and tasted. Our side dishes included asparagus, potatoes au gratin and fried Brussels sprouts which were all very tasty. For dessert my wife and I enjoyed the pistachio caramel soufflé. Overall it was a
great dining experience.
Presentation was excellent! Service was friendly and knowledgeable but a bit slow with little interaction in between. Loved the hostess and divine dessert.
Had the prime rib special, very very good!
I want to try every single thing on the menu.
super love Dean the waiter too.
it's fun to see if chef Ryan can be spotted on premises too! he's the best!
Not only is their food delicious but their service is the best in town by far! Everything we have ever had has been wonderful
We went for their Wednesday night prime rib special. The waiter informed us they had overcooked the prime rib and nothing cooked less than medium was available. The restaurant was packed but not staffed for the crowd. The wait staff did their best, but couldn't provide the level of service expected because they were spread too thin.
Oysters came with three sauces. One was a bland vinagrette. One was a hot habanero sauce, and the third was hotter than the habanero. The latter two didn't compliment the oysters, it overwhelmed them.
The kitchen needs to exercise better control over its quality and selection of sauces for oysters. Management needs to pay more attention to staffing levels.
This was our first time ever dinning here for out 15th Wedding Anniversary and every time was so amazing from the Host to the servers and the food was super good. I was so happy we choice to eat here before our night out to the concert. thank you for making it special!
Went here before a concert at the Ava Amphitheater. The restaurant scene was much better than the other dining choices and was quite compared to the casino area. The steaks and prime rib was very good. I'd go here again before an event.
Amazing food, great seevice, friendly staff, server provided complimentary dessert for our anniversary which made our experience that much greater!
The service was impeccable, with warm greetings and friendly and attentive staff. Our filet mignon was outstanding!
They sat the eight of us in the pretty private wine room which was wonderful until the second group showed up--they were loud but convivial, so we didn't mind. The calamari was terrific, as usual, but the Brussels sprouts were irresistible--even my daughter who doesn't like B sprouts wanted to take the leftovers home with her! Everyone who had steak or fish loved their meal, but the veal shank was a bit dry. Service was very good, as usual, and the chef came out to say hello, which is always special.
We had a business dinner. Party of 6. The waitress was pretty cold and not very welcoming. My guests who had steaks loved them. I got sick after eating the lobster that had a light smell that should have meant something to me... It is usually a really nice place for business dinner but last time was a fiasco...
We ordered the Wednesday night prime rib special medium rare. We both got end cuts that were very thin and way over cooked. No red to be seen. Not even pink! Since we had waited quite awhile for our food we did not send it back. We did notice people at the table across from us received a very nice piece of meat, medium rare. Not sure we’ll be back.
Our waitress was very attentive and informed. Liked the first course which was the chefs special
Food was amazing!! Wine selection very nice; our server, Amanda was great!!!
Nice atmosphere and best of all are their deserts!!!!
The piece of prime rib was very small list of 8 ounces.
First time dining at PY while the Tucson area. Everything the about the dinner was fabulous our waiter Dean was very professional and knowlegavle helping with our wine selection. Food was well prepared , presentation top notch. We certainly enjoyed the meal highly recommend the Brussels sprouts. Definetly if in the Tucson area will visit PY 's again.
Always try to eat at PY Steakhouse when visiting Casino Del Sol. The Wednesday prime rib special was perfectly cooked and an ample portion. This time we also tried the rock fish with a mango chutney sauce and it was delicious. Overall it is a very good dining experience.
We have dined there before and had a marvelous experience! This one, the food as always was excellent (the calamari the best we have had).
Our server was not up to their standards. She had help from Anton with wine and touch backs, but she needs training, wine knowledge and polish.
We also noted on Open Table that it was my husband's birthday. Whether the desk or server was the issue, I don't know, but there was no mention of his day.
We will try them again, but not with the same server.
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were very attentive and made sure we enjoyed our visit and that we were enjoying our anniversary. Very clean, nicely lit and very welcoming. The hand written anniversary card we received was AWESOME. Would recommend to anyone and everyone that might visit Casino Del Sol. Thank you for making our anniversary special and the food was mouth watering and more than either of us could finish. Left overs were just as good.
THANKS AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Food was just ok, service was great though but not worth the price. Won’t be going back
Wonderful evening there celebrating a special occasion. Prime Rib night made it especially reasonable for fine dining. Wait staff was attentive and helpful, a lovely evening out with friends.
We had a great time. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We will be back.
Possibly the best steak I have ever had--the special Cowboy char-grilled rib eye. It was huge and done perfectly--medium rare-- and it didn't have a lot of waste on it which is unusual for a rib-eye. Even my wife, who isn't a steak lover, asked for second "bites". Service was OK, although we had to remind our waiter that the wine had been chilling for over 15 minutes. Our assistant waitress made up for lack of attention and did much more than just clearing dishes. To be fair, our waiter had a large table next to us and at least one other table. The ambiance--set in the middle of a smoke-filled casino-- just has to be ignored. Concentrate on the steak.
