Pusser's Caribbean Grille - Annapolis
Service was horrible. Management was very lax and unprofessional. Really seems to have gone downhill
I dined with a party of 7 last Saturday evening in what seemed like a sunroom. We arrived with the table set and water already poured which was wonderful however the dining experience after wasn’t so great. The waitress was pleasant but we didn’t see her but maybe twice once the food arrived. At one point, my guests had requested more water and by the time she came back, they had drank all of the extra waters where we had empty seats. We had ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer ($9.95) and we were extremely disappointed to only see 3 shrimp. One of us had ordered the full size Caesar salad ($8 and change) and was asked if she would like to add anything to it, so she agreed to add some plain chicken. She was shocked when the bill came to see that the little amount of chicken was $6 more. The waitress I’m sure was doing her job by pushing upgrades on menu items but she did not inform my guest of the price increase. Another had ordered mahi mahi and tuna. He said the mahi mahi was perfect but the tuna was terrible. The room we were in was so extremely hot that we all were sweating. The noise level was extremely loud and children were incessantly banging on the windows.
Overall, I would not recommend this place. The food was definitely not worth the price and the service was mediocre.
Nice waterfront dining, food quality slightly above average, service a bit spotty, the servers seemed more interested in congregating in the doorway and conversing. Not overpriced considering it is one of the few waterfront spots in Annapolis.
Not impressed with the food, especially for the price.
Awesome views, good food, good service!
My husband ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict and I ordered the crab cake Benedict with the English muffins toasted and buttered on the side. The English muffin was under the eggs Benedict. There were toasted English muffins on the side, but not buttered. I got up and asked for some butter. The poached eggs for my husband's and my order were hard. I let the waitress know and asked for 2 poached eggs that we not over cooked. The crab cakes were not very good either. We were disappointed with the food and service. The restaurant ambience was wonderful and the staff accommodated my request eventually.
Such a great place and the outside dock was beautiful!
After being seated we waited for someone to take our drink order. Then our dinner and appetizers came out from the kitchen at the same time. Our waitress responded that she did not know why that happened. Obviously she entered the order incorrectly and did not fess up to her error.
i would not recommend eating at Pussers.
The server was very nice and the food was good, but it was my husband's birthday, and despite putting it into the reservation notes, and mentioning it out loud, there was no acknowledgement by anyone on the staff. This was extremely disappointing, as I really wanted what I consider to be "standard" bells and whistles acknowledgment of birthdays --- a complimentary dessert, an acknowledgement from the waitstaff ... something. It didn't have to be a song, but anything would have been nicer than nothing. This was a deep disappointment, especially since we had friends come as guests for dinner to join us for the celebration.
Not a very big breakfast buffet, but what they have is very good. You will definitely walk away fulfilled :-)
Celebrated my birthday there recently. Had a good time.
It was okay. We got a seat by a window where we could see the water and that was great. However, I said when I registered on line that it was my wife's birthday and the waitress didn't do anything to recognize it as most restaurants do. The food was pretty good but we found that the choices were limited.
We were a group of 7 celebrating a birthday. I was disappointed that even with a reservation we were seated near the bar and not near a window. That made it noisy later in the evening. However, I did not specify in my reservation. Nor did I ask for us to be moved when there were open tables in a place with a view. We all enjoyed our food and drinks, except for my peach sangria, which tasted like orange soda. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.
So let me start by saying the food was terrific and it ends there. The service was terrible and the manager even worse. Ordered 1 dozen oysters had 6 show up - waiter corrected that after we mentioned - ordered mahi and halibut showed up - fixed that after we mentioned and took off bill - ask for a beer, waiter came back to table and asked if we wanted additional beverages - noted he was supposed to bring me a beer from his last visit - so please understand that our table joked back and forth about these oversights the entire time and with each joke the waiter laughed - when we ordered desert and the table was brought desert mine was again missing - when our waiter was no longer available and another waitress brought the missing desert at which time she stated to me "I am probably not supposed to say this but you need to be nicer and you really screwed up the original waiter" this was said as she basically threw the desert plate on the table - I will be the first person to tell you that I love to joke with waiters and asked the table if at any time I offended anyone including the waiter to which I was told "are you going to ask for the manager on will I need to" - so we asked for the manager who came out 10 minutes later and after what he says was a misunderstanding cut our bill in half - this wasn't about the bill it was about how to properly handle issues if you feel a customer has offended you - needless to say a very nice meal turned into a very poor evening as everything could have been handled much different - at no time was any foul language used or offensive comments but I guess that depends on other perspective - Pussers has been around 400 years according to the great bartender we had, hoping this was just me and not how offensive others that dine at their restaurant are perceived - lost a fan tonight - if you are going to dine there, please bring a pen and write down what you want to say as you never know how it will be taken!!! Enjoy!
Server was very nice. Food was blah
Great outing for my husband and I to celebrate his birthday. The food was so delicious! Appetizers were fantastically put toghther and tasteful. The dinner was fufilling to feed my husband appetite. We sat in the porch area and waiter dis not get to us quickly so we waited a few minutes, but that did not take away from the evening. I plan to go back in the warmer weather. Thank you!!
Food was good, service was great, overall awesome experience!
Excellent food and service. Great Valentines Day dinner special. Thank you.
The Annapolis Crab hash was out of this world as well as the corn beef hash. Cant wait to go back with some family next month!
Great surf and turf deal for the month of January. We were seated immediately and service was very good. I recommend the Salmon tower, good fish and side items.
Had this been our first time in, we definitely would not consider a return visit. We frequent Pusser's in the off season and while we know the restaurant takes on more of a "club vibe" in the late evening hours in the adjacent large room, this should not be the environment prior to 8pm in the dining room. There was apparently a private drunk fest in the adjacent room and the noise levels were unacceptable.
The restaurant was far from full yet we we're seated almost directly next to the adjoining door to the "party room" where the door was propped open so you got the full effect of the heavy bass, drunken screaming and general loud ambiance.
This is far from what should be expected when dining in the main restaurant in the early evening. Very disappointing overall; though the food was good. Management should be ashamed...
We never ate because the server didn't greet us for at least 7 minutes so we left.
A Sunday evening in January is clearly not a busy time, so it was very nice to get free valet parking at the door and a window seat overlooking the water. Service was good, food was good, definitely will be back.
Pusser's is always reliable and in a perfect location to bring your out-of-town visitors!
Addison, our waiter, was top notch - he got it all correctly, fast and service-with-a-smile.
You cannot beat the 3 course dinner 'Surf & Turf.' You just can't.
Fire-up the motor and get there!
Good value and loved the scenic view
We came for New Years ever - 5:15 reservation. Set menu which was fabulous. App was good and hot. Entree was luke warm for all 5 meals. One meal was wrong and had to be remade. Drink was removed from tab for waiting.
Food overall was good, just needed to be hotter.
Dessert was great!
Our group of 11 was pleased with our experience. They handled the group well. We'll definitely keep this spot on our list
We love the waterfront dining along with view of Ego Alley and the Annapolis Harbor. The tropical salad is outstanding and with a great filet mignon steak. Every time we go to Annapolis, we visit Pusser's for lunch or dinner. When it is warm we like to sit and dine outside on the deck. That is worth waiting for.
The food, waitress, and setting was fantastic. It was a rainey weekend but coming to Pussers put the sun in our day. Thank you.
Just an ok atmosphere with few customers, decent service and food. Nothing special.
The waitress was nice and the food was good. We had a reservation, yet people who were walking in from off the street were seated by the windows with a great view, while we were placed a couple rows back near the door. Excellent waterfront view.
We had a family gathering of 12. Service and food were excellent. We were welcomed and never felt rushed.
Everything was great until we got our check. The server verified who had worked several times but still got the whole checks mess up of the two checks we had
We had a great table on the waterfront however the food was terrible. 4 of our 7 meals had to be sent back. Would visit again but only for cocktails, won't eat here again.
Had a great dinner, seafood and steak. Prices were reasonable. Sat by the windows and had a great dock side view. Only draw back was the noise level. It was very loud and hard to have a conversation.
Get a table outside - unfortunately there’s a wait and you can’t reserve for the outside but totally worth it
Attentive waitress, lovely view, reasonably priced, and excellent meal! The surf ‘n turf was a great dal!
