Overall nice Experience. Most of our party enjoyed their meals although 1 had to send their fish back was terribly under cooked and it took forever to get the waiters attention. Unfortunately she wound up just having soup since everyone else was already done their meals. Service was a bit slow especially considering it was the middle of the week.
We dine at Pusser’s often, and love it! We love when they prepare corned beef and cabbage for SPD - it’s always delicious and this time did not disappoint.
We had a perfect evening celebrating our anniversary.
We have dined here many times. The food has always been good. Unfortunately this time our service was not up to par. Our server did not check on us and had another server bring us water refills and bread. When she finally returned she said she had been busy with a table of 10. We felt neglected. Our food took an exceptionally long time to arrive and the vegetables were cold. We asked for the manager twice and when he arrived was not as helpful as we felt he should have been. We love going to Pusser's and hope this was a one time incident.
A truly pleasurable dining experiencing. From before dinner drinks to the final bite of the salted caramel cheesecake, the food and service was beyond expectation. We will sing your praises for some time to come. Thanks for making my family get-together a night to remember
Excellent venue for a relaxed birthday gathering with delicious brunch selections and courteous service.
When drinks were brought out, glasses were dirty with lip stick on one and something floating in another.
My husband and friends have cocktails and dinner at Pussers about three times a month and always enjoy our dinners and service. Love having a table by the window and enjoying the view.
This is one of my favorite places, but this time the service was slow and inconsiderate and the food sub standard.
From the moment we walked in things went wrong. We walked in at 6:15 for our 6:15 reservation of 6..... there was one family in front of us to get to the hostess stand, they said they were 30 minutes early but could they still be set, also a party of 6. This family was immediately set by the two teenagers at the hostess stand on the deck per their request. As we then were greeted at the hostess stand we were told we would have to wait that our table of 6 wasn’t available (also requested outside) we immediately realized our table had just been given away. So we waited 15 minutes for a table. During these 15 minutes we sat watching several other large tables with reservations all come in and being told the same thing, nothing available they would have to wait. So what was the point in making a reservation??? The two teenagers were completely clueless! We finally got a table and things did. It never improved, I had to ask twice for a children’s menu, twice for silverware, twice for my salad to come with everyone else’s, the list goes on and on. We had two drinks missing etc. the food was good but with everything else it was a total bust of an evening.
The food was good, but entrée was served while I was eating my salad. By the time I got to the entrée, it was cold.
The food was good. Our waitress only came to our table once. No water refills, no offer for another wine. We were very disappointed.
Excellent all around. Great food and great service We ended up going back twice during our short stay in the area.
They have a great happy hour daily with specialty priced apps. Tuesday is our day for the ahi tuna poke bowl which we followup with the fish tacos.
We had two couples for a quick dinner, and got seated immediately, and had drinks and appetizers ordered within minutes. Our waiter was genial and helpful-one of our party had special nutritional needs and he gave several suggestions and worked with us to get that right. Our food was ready when we were and all cooked to spec. We enjoyed the meal and the drinks!
Have stayed away for 2years due to poor service. The food was good. Had the Grouper Ponte Vedra, she crab soup and the crab dip. All were good. The nagging issue is that the management can’t seem to staff properly so that the serves are not spread too thin. Our server had a quickly drop off drinks and food items. Never time to have a conversation. Never time for a single refill on water.
It’s too bad as this could be a very nice restaurant with a positive experience.
We ate outside. It was delightful!
Food was great but chose a table outside...no lights. We could not read the menu without the flashlight on our phone. The weather was so nice. It would be awesome with lights on the umbrellas or candles so you can see your food.
Very disappointed in our last experience. Had "fresh" fish entree which was clearly a dried out piece of frozen fish.
We were hoping for a really great experience here. My husband served with the British Navy and is familiar with Pussers Rum, so we kind of hoped to have a nostalgic experience. The service wasn’t amazing, but wasn’t bad. The food was fine but definitely not the best we had on our trip to Jacksonville. It was OK, but nothing to write home about.
We got together to celebrate friends birthdays. Our service was good . Our lunch was very good and with a coupon we received in the mail, it became a great value. We go here when we want a venue where we can hear each other talk and enjoy good food.
Overpriced mediocre food in an outdated atmosphere. Unappealing drink offers. Felt more like a mall restaurant than an upscale one. The complementary valet parking was a positive touch, and the wait staff was pleasant.
Omelets were good as was beef with grits. Drinks excellent. Hash browns over-cooked.
Family friend gathering. Food and service was great. Nate, our waiter, was very fun and attentive.
Great dinner with friends!
Waiter Evan was excellent. Attended to a table of 9 and paid attention to all the needs.
We had a very nice dinner for 13 on a Friday night. The reservation was for 12 but at the last minute we had one more join our group and Pusser’s accommodated us without any problems. Several of our diners had never been there for dinner and were very pleased with their dinner choices of shrimp and grits and a steak. It was nice to be able to enjoy happy hour drinks in the bar while waiting for our table. Everyone was able to get separate checks. It was a very enjoyable dinner had by all.
Went for happy hour on Wednesday. Food was very good and service was exceptional. Looking forward to our next visit.
They have a great happy hour M-F 3 to 6pm. Good HH apps and drinks. Tuesdays I like the Ahi Tuna Poke dish. After that I get the fish tacos off the menu. Goes great with local craft draft beers.
Just good company and good food.
Went for the Wednesday oyster special.
The oysters were small but very good. The ladies also had a cup of she crab soup which they raved about. Stetson did a great job scheduling the food.
Miso salmon knocked it out of the park! Sticky rice was delish. Only miss was the mushy zuchini in the mixed veggies. Grouper Ponte Vedra was excellent! Our server Clay was helpful & attentive. Will return.
Great food and wonderful service. The noise was horrible. Will eat here again but not on a Saturday night Met friends and couldn’t hear each other.
Not happy about the fact that neither open table or Pussers didn’t bother to post that there was a set menu and price for New Year’s Eve. Not sure how good of an idea it was since it wasn’t very busy there. Food was good but not for the $53 a person price. That didn’t even include any liquor.
We used to LOVE Pusser’s and would take all out of town visitors but that will stop abruptly. We took our dearest family there on Christmas Eve and though the service was passable. The food was erratic at best. My favorite shrimp and grits was to put it mildly disgusting. The grits were watery and both the shrimp and whatever they say.....(Pieces of ham maybe) were pure rubber. Really bad I would have sent it back but it took so long to get our meals I was afraid we’d miss our Christmas celebration at home. We spent well over 150$ for 4 adults. Thankfully I had a Bloody Mary to numb the awful meal that followed.
Not very good...could taste the industrial cleanser that they use on the food. Brought my dish without the lump crab meat so had to ask for it.
Waiter (she) nice enough but not very attentive.
Prices do not support food or the service.
We have been to Pussers in Road Town, and Sopers Hole in Tortola many times and this Pussers was just as good. I had a great Cuban sandwich!! Wish they had the conch chowder like the ones in Tortola but that was OK. The pain killers were wonderful and the staff is as nice as any place we have been! Would go back anytime we are in the area.
Great! Burgers, shrimp and carribean Cobb salad were a hit with our group!
We had guests from Australia and all they wanted was to eat seafood. It was the son's birthday and he was so happy about the brownie dessert treat! The seafood was fabulous and she could not stop talking about the fabulous large oysters and how affordable it was. A good dining experience every time!
Especially good value when they have promotions (sign up for email). Good food, good service, nice atmosphere.
