We had out of town guests & had the most horrible service. Our waitress was absent most of the time we were there. Delayed in taking drink, dinner orders... beer around for refills. It felt like she was hiding. One of our guests dinner was not brought out... food is after our entire table waited and extremely long time for our food. A manager type come over & said our waitress never put it in... they had to cook the entire meal. We still never saw our waitress during this time. Another manager came over and we had to ask him for re-fills. Finally the dinner cans out when the rest of the table was done eating. Another guest ordered a steak with just a cease salad... it was brought out as shown on menu -no salad. The manager came over and offered free drink & appetizer to our guests did them to come back next time to make up for issues.... they live in North Carolina. Poor recovery.
We love oyster night
Big party that was very loud, which was a shame. We love Pussers and think this was unusual. We will be back.
Dinner was just ok. Service was less than great. Had to get up and ask for silverware after food was delivered. Was not given condiments and had to flag down waitress and then had to wait over 10 minutes. Disappointed..won’t be back.
Made a reservation through open table for outdoor seating and showed up 15 minutes early and still was an able to be sad at your request to table even though the reservation was confirmed
Great food, service, and atmosphere!!! Will be back soon!
Was a great place for my husband's birthday as he is a sailor and we have traveled and ate at the Pusser's in the BVI. Service was great! Food was great! And of course, the Painkillers were awesome! Will definitely eat here again!
Service was terrible. Bad enough to prevent my ever returning.
Overall nice Experience. Most of our party enjoyed their meals although 1 had to send their fish back was terribly under cooked and it took forever to get the waiters attention. Unfortunately she wound up just having soup since everyone else was already done their meals. Service was a bit slow especially considering it was the middle of the week.
We dine at Pusser’s often, and love it! We love when they prepare corned beef and cabbage for SPD - it’s always delicious and this time did not disappoint.
We had a perfect evening celebrating our anniversary.
We have dined here many times. The food has always been good. Unfortunately this time our service was not up to par. Our server did not check on us and had another server bring us water refills and bread. When she finally returned she said she had been busy with a table of 10. We felt neglected. Our food took an exceptionally long time to arrive and the vegetables were cold. We asked for the manager twice and when he arrived was not as helpful as we felt he should have been. We love going to Pusser's and hope this was a one time incident.
We went to Pusser’s for girls night out. We were enticed by the $19.99 surf and turf special. I’m allergic to lobster so my meal was substituted for salmon. The others ordered lobster and filet. They would’ve charged extra to substitute my lobster for scallops. It was ok. Still a good value.
A truly pleasurable dining experiencing. From before dinner drinks to the final bite of the salted caramel cheesecake, the food and service was beyond expectation. We will sing your praises for some time to come. Thanks for making my family get-together a night to remember
Excellent venue for a relaxed birthday gathering with delicious brunch selections and courteous service.
When drinks were brought out, glasses were dirty with lip stick on one and something floating in another.
My husband and friends have cocktails and dinner at Pussers about three times a month and always enjoy our dinners and service. Love having a table by the window and enjoying the view.
This is one of my favorite places, but this time the service was slow and inconsiderate and the food sub standard.
From the moment we walked in things went wrong. We walked in at 6:15 for our 6:15 reservation of 6..... there was one family in front of us to get to the hostess stand, they said they were 30 minutes early but could they still be set, also a party of 6. This family was immediately set by the two teenagers at the hostess stand on the deck per their request. As we then were greeted at the hostess stand we were told we would have to wait that our table of 6 wasn’t available (also requested outside) we immediately realized our table had just been given away. So we waited 15 minutes for a table. During these 15 minutes we sat watching several other large tables with reservations all come in and being told the same thing, nothing available they would have to wait. So what was the point in making a reservation??? The two teenagers were completely clueless! We finally got a table and things did. It never improved, I had to ask twice for a children’s menu, twice for silverware, twice for my salad to come with everyone else’s, the list goes on and on. We had two drinks missing etc. the food was good but with everything else it was a total bust of an evening.
The food was good, but entrée was served while I was eating my salad. By the time I got to the entrée, it was cold.
The food was good. Our waitress only came to our table once. No water refills, no offer for another wine. We were very disappointed.
Excellent all around. Great food and great service We ended up going back twice during our short stay in the area.
They have a great happy hour daily with specialty priced apps. Tuesday is our day for the ahi tuna poke bowl which we followup with the fish tacos.
We had two couples for a quick dinner, and got seated immediately, and had drinks and appetizers ordered within minutes. Our waiter was genial and helpful-one of our party had special nutritional needs and he gave several suggestions and worked with us to get that right. Our food was ready when we were and all cooked to spec. We enjoyed the meal and the drinks!
Have stayed away for 2years due to poor service. The food was good. Had the Grouper Ponte Vedra, she crab soup and the crab dip. All were good. The nagging issue is that the management can’t seem to staff properly so that the serves are not spread too thin. Our server had a quickly drop off drinks and food items. Never time to have a conversation. Never time for a single refill on water.
It’s too bad as this could be a very nice restaurant with a positive experience.
We ate outside. It was delightful!
Food was great but chose a table outside...no lights. We could not read the menu without the flashlight on our phone. The weather was so nice. It would be awesome with lights on the umbrellas or candles so you can see your food.
Very disappointed in our last experience. Had "fresh" fish entree which was clearly a dried out piece of frozen fish.
We were hoping for a really great experience here. My husband served with the British Navy and is familiar with Pussers Rum, so we kind of hoped to have a nostalgic experience. The service wasn’t amazing, but wasn’t bad. The food was fine but definitely not the best we had on our trip to Jacksonville. It was OK, but nothing to write home about.
We got together to celebrate friends birthdays. Our service was good . Our lunch was very good and with a coupon we received in the mail, it became a great value. We go here when we want a venue where we can hear each other talk and enjoy good food.
Overpriced mediocre food in an outdated atmosphere. Unappealing drink offers. Felt more like a mall restaurant than an upscale one. The complementary valet parking was a positive touch, and the wait staff was pleasant.
Omelets were good as was beef with grits. Drinks excellent. Hash browns over-cooked.
Family friend gathering. Food and service was great. Nate, our waiter, was very fun and attentive.
Great dinner with friends!
Waiter Evan was excellent. Attended to a table of 9 and paid attention to all the needs.
We had a very nice dinner for 13 on a Friday night. The reservation was for 12 but at the last minute we had one more join our group and Pusser’s accommodated us without any problems. Several of our diners had never been there for dinner and were very pleased with their dinner choices of shrimp and grits and a steak. It was nice to be able to enjoy happy hour drinks in the bar while waiting for our table. Everyone was able to get separate checks. It was a very enjoyable dinner had by all.
Went for happy hour on Wednesday. Food was very good and service was exceptional. Looking forward to our next visit.
They have a great happy hour M-F 3 to 6pm. Good HH apps and drinks. Tuesdays I like the Ahi Tuna Poke dish. After that I get the fish tacos off the menu. Goes great with local craft draft beers.
Just good company and good food.
Went for the Wednesday oyster special.
The oysters were small but very good. The ladies also had a cup of she crab soup which they raved about. Stetson did a great job scheduling the food.
