What a wonderful way to escape the stresses of the Corona Virus! We lunched on the patio on the last day that Pusser's was open, and all protocals were followed exactly to keep us safe.
Bring back the oysters!!
Pussers wasn't terribly crowded, although they had a nice crowd outdoors.
Our server was Amy and she was great. We will request her next time.
We both had the she crab soup and I had a delicious lobster roll. The soup was hot and seasoned perfectly.
We eat at Pussers pretty regularly and consider it a good value.
Great food music and atmosphere
Nice patio area, good service, good food and drinks
Changed menu for TPC and removed the item I was planning to order. Service was average and the food was below average. Value below average. Will not return or recommend
Every dish our group of 10 ordered was great, including the grouper, the catch of the day, the shrimp and grits, and the tomato mozzarella salad with shrimp. The vegetables were made to a perfect crispness. Drinks were fine too.
The food was AMAZING! I have celiac disease and they were so accommodating to make sure my meal was gluten free. The waitress we had was awful....... my father received his drink and there was a bug in it I understand that happens but when we brought it to our waitresses attention she didn’t seem surprised by it and it took her 20 minutes to bring him a new one. There were 7 people in our party and the waitress completely forgot to ring in my husbands entire order the waitress never even noticed my husband had no meal until we brought it to her attention ......... he ordered a cup of soup and shrimp and grits everyone’s meals came out except his and he never received his soup and when everyone was finished eating his shrimp and grits came out and there was no apology or manager visit........ we were all disappointed with the service but the food was very good.
Keenan was a fantastic server and everything was delicious.
Fun place, good atmosphere, great service. Really good happy hour
Had dinner with a friend.
Food & location were both good. Waiter service was well-intentioned-but we think he was new. He skipped my order of soup-we didn’t complain because we shared our apps.
We started with the always delicious she crab soup. Then my companion had the fish and chips and I had the mahi fish tacos. All of the food was delicious. Service was attentive. Despite a very large party going on in the main part of the dining room we were not disturbed by noise.
It was a wonderful dining experience with the exception of our waitress. It took her nearly 10 minutes to come greet us and get our drink orders and an appetizer order. Then she came back after another 10 minutes and got our food orders. Then it was about 30-40 minutes and our soups came out before our appetizer. Just seemed like we were forgotten about several times. A table near us got sat after us and got their food and paid their bill before we even got our entrees. It would’ve been perfect had it not been for her.
Most of us go to dinner with friends to enjoy the food and conversation. When music is blaring and everyone is having to talk over the background noise, reasonable conversation become impossible and the whole dining experience becomes a negative. Turn the music off and let people talk in a civil tone. I've never understood why restaurants feel music is a positive.
Our server Chris was very good, and the food was great!
Great food and service
Went to Pusser's on Valentine's Day. Have been there many times and have never had a bad meal. Usually the food is very good to excellent. However, the meal on 2/14 was below their usual standards. Hollandaise sauce on the grouper dish was a mistake. Should have been on the accompanying asparagus that was overcooked and not on the grouper. Plating was very poor. Rolls were under baked. We will chalk this one up to the fact that they were very busy for the holiday. Hopefully it is not a trend.
Our waiter was very helpful and courteous. One of our guests has celiac disease and he made sure her dish was prepared properly.
Went for their Wednesday night Happy Hour special on oysters....great value for fresh, perfectly opened large oysters. Also enjoyed their appetizer Tuna Poke which is a generous portion and can be gotten with avocado which we decided upon....a good choice.
First time at Pussers and will definitely return. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about menu items. Food was excellent but I found it a bit pricey for the don't served. Overall, excellent.
Server spent more time getting drinks than serving food—Mgr hostess and other servers had to pick up the slack—allow 2 hours for lunch—too bad parking limiters one hour
Food was great, as always.
Would recommend with a caution - presented as a seafood restaurant but that's a stretch when meatloaf is on the menu. Had the catch of the day which was fresh but not any imagination used in preparation.
It’s a shame that they change the recipe for the fried green tomatoes. They no longer offer the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and bacon jam they just put plane dressing on it and it sucks never buying it again. Bring back the bacon jam. The meatloaf was very good
I had to get up after 35 minutes and ask for a waitress? Drinks came after 45 minutes. Food was good and once we asked for a waitress everything was ok. Don’t go at 6:30 probably too busy.
Shepherd's pie was fantastic!
If you are in a hurry but still want a sit down meal, this is the place. We sat in the dining room, ordered appetizers and a salad, which came out quickly, but then our meal showed up 5 minutes later. I felt like I was living the "Here's your hat. What's your hurry?" scenario. We ordered dessert to go, and our the check was presented and processed even before the desserts arrived. I am sure if they had taken too long we would have been annoyed, but the whole evening was rushed and over before it even began, which was unsettling. The staff also has tunnel vision and are unwilling to look up to see if someone needs anything. It took longer for us to get ketchup - which I eventually sought out myself from a server station - than it took for our food to come out from the time we ordered it. The food was fine, it just wasn't the slightest bit relaxing and not a very enjoyable experience. Now that my expectations have been set, I would go back with more realistic expectations.
We thoroughly enjoyed happy hour and our meal! While the weather was cold, so we couldn’t eat on the patio as planned they seated us quickly and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend the tuna appetizer!
Server was very shy and hard to hear. The place was almost empty and we waited about 10 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them. As we were eating, a staff member was spraying down the doors and cleaning. Staff were taking garbage out in containers right through the front door.
Always a consistent product. We eat here at least once a month and have always enjoyed ourselves. Don't miss the opportunity to try a Pain-Killer cocktail.
Pusser’s has the best mussels I have had since o moved down from New England 3 years ago. The food was wonderful and well priced. Carly, our server, was attentive and did a great job. We’ll be back!
We signed up for their email club. I keep getting emails with coupons for a surf and turf special for the one location In Maryland. We went to the restaurant one night not realizing that this coupon was only for the Maryland location this would be strange since we live in Jacksonville Florida. We explained this to our server after learning that the special advertise was not available and he was aware of the problem so we were not the first ones to have this problem over the weekend and Offered to get his manager. The server did tell us that we could purchase the surf and turf separately for a much higher price. The manager came to our table with what I consider an attitude. He said the coupon was only good in Maryland and that he didn’t even have surf and turf which was a contradiction from what the server had just told us. I found this manager to be rude and snarky. He did offer to copper appetizer but it was already a happy hour special and only five dollars. We had invited our neighbor to come with us telling him about a fabulous special, so he offered to drive to 30 minutes out to the restaurant from our houses. Needless to say we all left the restaurant very upset with no plans to return. Even after complaining about these emails and double checking my location to make sure it was set to Jacksonville on the bottom of the email they are still sending these emails to me so I unsubscribed. Y’all need to get your act together you’re alienating customers me and my husband ate there a couple times a year and we’re known to bring people with us.
Went there for New Years and was slightly disappointed in the available. Menu, seems to be getting smaller and smaller every year. My son and I both ordered the filet mignon medium rare and it came out medium for both of us. My wife and other son both had the seafood special and they were both disappointed as well. While we all finished our food, we were all disappointed with the food. I normally visit this restaurant often and I am always pleased with the food; shame this occasion turned out the way it did. Will probably go back, but not for these kinds of events again. I get that the kitchen gets busy, but quality should always be the priority.... not how fast you can move it.
The salads had almost NO ingredients except lettuce! Almost no nuts, fruits, meat... very bad! The other guests were in a bit better shape but this time was a “miss”!
Not a place to go to meet people you haven't seen in a long time.. Too loud to talk.. The food was ok, but nothing to rave about. Not a whole lot of choices in fresh seafood. We ended up in the bar area, because it was a lot quieter than in the dining room. It was raining, so outside people had to come in, so its too bad they don't have a covered outside area, where you could still stay out. Our service was very good considering. We had to ask for napkins and silver ware, after our food was delivered.. but he was very nice.... Next time, I would only go there to drink...
Mostly I go to Pusser's for their great crab cakes. They have a new menu, and the crab cakes are missing. Luckily they were able to make them for me this time. I hope they put them back on the menu, they are by far the best in the area. Everything else was terrific, but I did take off a star for the menu change.
We had a party of 12 and all of were very impressed with the service, food, drinks etc..Our server, Stetson, was fantastic. All of the drinks were exactly the way ordered. Stetson remembered who got what what each person ordered for dinner. GREAT experience.
Very Pleasant Dining Experience. Fresh Food & Very Good Value.
Great happy hour and a lot of choices on the menu for dinner. When the weather permits the patio bar is a winner.
