Enjoyed a very wonderful dinner at The Purple Palm. Shared a duck dumpling appetizer and I had the pumpkin crab soup which was awesome and my spouse loved the beet salad with figs. Our entrees were the scallops and roasted pork that were prepared perfectly and Jose our waiter was exceptional😍

We were staying at the Colony Palms so it was a no-brainer to try the onsite restaurant. Wow - so glad we did! The food is delicious, beaurifully presented, and innovatively prepared. We ate breakfast there all three days, dinner on our anniversary, and had starters and drinks at the bar twice. Exceptional food, beautiful location right off the pool with gorgeous mountain views, and attentive, pleasant staff. Can't say enough good things about this spot.

The food here was very disappointing compared to previous visits. The food used to be special and now it’s just ordinary. Maybe there’s a new chef.

We enjoyed brunch poolside among kids, dogs and couples. It was a lovely atmosphere. Amazing and funny servers. The best bloody Mary I've maybe ever had! I would definitely visit PP again!

We had an early Sunday brunch here. Seated poolside, Purple Palm is quintessentially Palm Springs. The brunch menu was good. Bloody Marys, eggs Benedict and soft-scrambled eggs and avocado on toast. The food and drinks were on point.

I honestly thought when I made the reservation for our Saturday night dinner that based on other reviews, the food would be good, but not great, in a cool atmosphere. I was definitely wrong. It was great food and a great atmosphere. We sat outside by the pool which was lovely and romantic. The food was unique and very good. The green bean starter was my favorite. The only dish I disliked was the caesar salad (way too much anchovy). Our server, Javier, was attentive and excellent. Highly recommend

Outdoor seating is right next to pool. Small tables for 2 not great chairs. Excellent attentive service. Menu interesting. Food good but not great and it is expensive. Drinks likewise pricey.

Place is gorgeous and they don’t rush you at all. We had a lovely breakfast with delicious coffee and tasty mimosas

Beautiful setting for dinner--inside in the newly designed dining areas, and outside by the pool.
Delicious food as well--great quality and style. Waiter was attentive and charming. Hostess was less friendly--although she made necessary adjustments to our table per our requests. Will return when I'm in Palm Springs. We were there for a late-ish dinner (8pm during the week) and didn't see the vibrant bar scene, but it is on my VRBO owner's best places for a drink list--can't wait to check it out.

One of the best restaurants to dine in Palm Springs. Perfect setting and ambiance both indoors & out located in this historic hotel. Food is exceptional, beautifully presented with great service. Yet feels casually relaxed & not stiff nor rushed. A special experience for any occasion or just an evening out.

Great selection in an amazing, gorgeous setting. Takes you back to the glamor days of Palm Springs. Service was a little too laid back for my taste, but still friendly and professional.

Great food & atmosphere! Staff were great!
I guess there was a mix up on who would be our server & we wanted a cocktail so ordered from the bartender directly, who let someone know that no one had come by. So the hostess bout our cocktails! Very nice! It was a great experience!

worst service, rude management. stunned by lack of effort by wait staff, abusive treatment from the restaurant manager, and the most ridiculous reply from the hotel GM. too many great places in the area to waste money at this failing institution. don't bother with this place unless you like being treated like a piece of garbage and overpaying for bad food and service. this place should be closed and the staff either retrained on service or replaced. but seems like they rather protect their own then provide at least baseline customer service.

Loved Purple Palm for poolside lunch in Palm Springs! Can't make a better pick for the Palm Springs experience. Great food and craft cocktails, perfect atmosphere, steeped in history from the days when owned by a mobster, a starlet and other notables. Worth a visit!!

Loved the food and the fantastic service from Nico. What is letting Purple Palm down now is the ambiance. Taking out the banquettes, and changing the beautiful ceiling shades, as well as no white table cloths has made the Purple Palm restaurant no longer special and glamorous.
Of course it's our personal opinion . Maybe the gastro pub look is what is more appealing to most.

We enjoyed every aspect of our brunch experience. The staff was friendly, our waiter was terrific. He caught on to my husband’s humor immediately, his helpfulness to specific menu was also appreciated. The smaller setting lends itself to true dining and conversational pleasure. I look forward to my next visit.

It’s a glorified hotel coffee shop with sincere but inept servers. We are locals who surprisingly had never been there and won’t return. Though the food is decent , between the spotty service and the very loud acoustics, it’s not worth a second try.
Plenty of better options in PS.

The food is average, but the prices are not. Have been coming here since 2009
great chefs in the past - + the change of decor outside looks cheap. what was there before, matched the interior, which still is pretty much the same Martyn Lawrence Bullard did that,
and it was rich and gorgeous looking! -- not now.

Tables should have had tablecloths with 35.00 entrees. Also desperately need more sturdy chairs and barstools. I am female and weigh 115 lbs and barely felt secure/comfortable in chair

What a wonderful find! We do not make it to Palm Springs often, and in this case we were looking for something small and more local than the typical resort restaurants. We certainly found it in the Purple Palm. Every part of the experience met or exceeded our expectations. It has a wonderful intimate vibe, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the food was terrific. We cannot wait to go back.

Sometimes your expectations can get in the way. This was to be a really special evening. We combed through reviews and chose to celebrate my husband's birthday at the Purple Palm. We were seated outside by the pool. The weather was cooperating. Then we met Javier! What a delightful person. Javier was super knowledgable about the food. If we were choosing between two selections, he was full of information and when called upon, advice. He helped us pick out a super special bottle of wine. Of course, a great server can only do so much. At some point the food has to speak for itself--and it did! The albacore crudo was one of the most delightful dishes I can remember. Every bite was an explosion of citrus flavor to complement the fish. My husband's caesar salad was a hit, and his steak was out of this world. We had great hopes for a special night, and our expectations were blown away in the best way possible. Thank you chef! Thank you Javier!
