We loved the food! Especially all the gluten free options!!!
Very fun atmosphere with attentive and kind waitstaff.
We ordered the lobster bacon fries as a starter for the table. The waitress walked away and brought it right back which seemed impossibly fast. The dish was cold and soggy. We sent it back for another, which took much longer. The food overall was mediocre. Several activities regarding a bar atmosphere.
Excellent food, very attentive wait staff, and very easy to get a reservation
I called for reservations they told me they could Not take reservations so I did it online when I call today because I was wondering what the thousand points meant the young lady told me she didn't know what it meant and I asked her about my reservations she told me take it by chance they can't take one day reservations. I explained to her I did it online and she blew me off. the server was sloppy he forgot our food he forgot our silverware the food was okay we had to wait a long time because they kept forgetting the food and the waiter stood there until we gave him his tips.
We had a reservation, but apparently that didn’t matter.
Our table didn’t have enough glasses or flat wear and it took some time to get them.
Service was poor, food was terrribly slow to arrive, food was OK.
And then it took some time to get our check.
It was not busy and there were many people working there.
They were out of three things that our tabled ordered. My burger was overcooked but still tasty. Drinks were good.
Food was terrible for price. Chicken sandwich was tough over cooked and too small for bun. My food came much later than rest of table (4 people total).
Christmas Eve dinner at lunch bowl! Fam thought it’d be nice to do something different and wander around downtown. Service wasn’t amazing and the food wasn’t up to it’s normal good status, but it was Christmas Eve, so can’t expect too much! Still have an extra tip - the guys wasn’t necessarily busy, but his mind was somewhere else - it was on Christmas!
After waiting a half hour and no one coming to our table we left.
Had to track down someone to wait on us. Waited a long time for food and food was burnt and not very good. Looks like a fun place for drinks but won’t be back for a meal.
While our food was decent, the entertainment was extremely disappointing. I took my kids to punch bowl social because of the ping pong, bowling, etc. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to us the ping pong, bowling, and darts were reserved for private parties. The arcade was the only area open, but the change machine was broken. I asked for change at the bar, but they were only able to give me $3 of change which lasted about 10 minutes. When making reservations, you should suggest also making activity reservations.
Excellent selection of hand crafted cocktails and a diverse, accessible menu. Something for everyone. Our service was slow, but the place was busy. We will try again because the food and drinks were spectacular!
Very sparse menu selections and specialty drinks. Food and drinks were fair at best. I’ve had much better. The atmosphere was nice and location was great.
I love what they have to offer, but disappointed in the food. Overall it’s a great place to have fun and entertainment. Wish food quality was better.
We have been there at least 3 times and usually love this place. We had theatre tickets and let our server know. He did not give us his name. It took about 15 minutes to get our water. The server forgot the glasses. Another 10 minutes go by before getting them. It was 30 minutes before we got our drinks. Our entrees took 45 minutes to come out. We were told they were waiting on the fries. When our entrees arrived, the fries were cold. I get that everyone is having their holiday parties so they are extremely busy. We asked how long it would take to get desert and were told they would be out in a jiffy. One guy ordered ice cream. That came to the table without a spoon. It took 10 minutes for him to get a spoon. Our deserts came out in another 10 minutes. Very disappointed so we asked for a manager. The beverage manager came over and apologized for all of the mishaps and said he hopes we come back. This dining experience was awful. I don’t mind a long dinner as long as the food is warm.
On multiple visits this place does not have some ingredients available to make a drink or a certain food item. I also think this place is over priced. $11 for a single piece of toast with avocado! I'll try lots of other places before returning here again.
Great place to spend time with friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere! Refreshing to see multiple gluten-free options on the menu.
Great food for a holiday brunch. Kids kept busy with the games and bowling.
Food was good. The service was great. The only problem is, there are two individual bathrooms, none with multiple stalls, so there is always a line. When I was waiting, I noticed that the bathroom doors were filthy. I'm not talking about the handle, I'm talking about the grime on both sides of the doors. It would take a few minutes to wipe down. Not a good look.
It was an amazing place. The music coukd have been turned down for a Tuesday night. We enjoyed the arcade games and food
We had a great brunch here before a show at the Fox. We took our sons and the staff was very friendly to them and us.
Very centrally located!
Our family had a blast! Food was amazing... drinks were great and the games were so much fun!!
Staff’s service is always great! Very pleasant and considerate in accommodating our party of 12.
good place, a but a bit worried though since every time I go here the dining room is pretty empty. Also, disappointing that of the 3 times I've been here, the fun & games upstairs are closed for private events...all 3 times. frustrating.
Food was very good but took over an hour to get appetizers then our platter showed up in bits and pieces and ultimately incomplete. We were so hungry we just ate what they gave us. I have never experienced anything like that.
The Lions game got out just before we got there so it was busy but they should have expected that.
They were apologetic and took care of our bill so we will give it another try.
Great happy hour specials.
Food was delicious, great choices.
Very attentive waiter, it wasn't busy.
Food was just ok! Service was very slow! Appetizer came out and went to another table!
Wouldn’t go back!
We were in Detroit for a conference and looking for good local food. This did not disappoint. I had the fried chicken. SO GOOD!! My friend had chicken pot pie which she also loved. We sat on the quieter side of the restaurant but the games side looked super fun.
I was sent here by a friend and she assured me that we would definitely enjoy it. She was absolutely correct. We went for my husband’s birthday and he said he had the time of his life. We will definitely be returning.
I wanted light ice in my drink, and received it with full ice. Sent it back and received it back with 3/4 full of ice. Not light!! $10 for a drink and I didn’t enjoy it because it was not how I ordered it.
My friend asked for a seedless bun and it came with seeds. So she sent it back and asked for seedless. Instead of changing bun like she asked, they took 10 minutes to remake it. I already had my food.
Kind of a frustrating experience.
Service was slow and food was pricey and nothing special. Fun place if you're a hipster i guess.
I want to start by saying I have Celiac Disease. That, however, has little, if anything to do with this review. I chose this restaurant to eat at prior to a recent concert at LCA because of the gluten free options that were clearly noted on the menu. I was very excited to try the place.
Our server seemed very nice and knowledgeable about the menu, the way that the kitchen protects against cross-contamination, and gave us several of his favorites. Unfortunately, our server also had a table of at least 12 diners not far from where we were seated, and had no apparent backup. The result was poor service - long periods of downtime with our glasses empty, and our having to flag down random employees for assistance.
Let me also note that we were dining at 6:15pm on a busy Friday night because of various things going on downtown. I was surprised that there were as many tables available, but the place still looked busy.
We ordered the lobster bacon fries as an appetizer. When they came out, the fries were clearly stale. They had once been cooked, and were semi-crispy on the outside, but cold on the inside. It's a french fry people - it's not hard to get right. So we sent it back. 15 minutes later we were brought a huge pile of steaming hot fries with bacon, lobster and all the other fixins. Unfortunately, these fries, while piping hot, were undercooked and were like sticks of mushy baked potato. Clearly they were rushed because the first batch was cold, but again, rushing is where quality control is lost. We ate them, stated our displeasure, but weren't really offered anything to remedy the situation.
We both ate the fried chicken due to great reviews. I thought it was quite good, but for $16 you get three small pieces of chicken (not a breast - a tenderloin) with no sides except a small salad of tomatoes and jalapeno peppers. The breading was thick and fell off the chicken.
I wanted it to be great. It was barely mediocre. I would not return.
Very attentive staff. Menu rotates with special cuisine drowning on the chef. Very cool!
Great service and food
I wanted to celebrate my birthday with a girls' karaoke night out. I tried to reserve a karaoke room ahead of time, but was told I needed to have a private event with a minimum of $400 food and drinks purchase in order to reserve. So I was told to just put my name in when I got there. When I showed up and put my name in at 6 pm, the karaoke rooms were already booked until 10 pm by private parties. But then the parties didn't even show right away, and my friends and I had to wait 4 hours until the reservation period was over. By that time, only a few of my friends stuck it out til then. I'm definitely finding a different karaoke spot for the future.
Went here while visiting Detroit for business. We were very impressed. Tasty cocktails, great food. Highly recommend.
Was a tough night a PBS, Tigers and Red Wings both playing at home, New England fans in town, PBS is going to need to step up if they’re going make it in the district. Our waiter did his best but it just didn’t work out, we had reservations and were seated no issue. Got our drinks, placed our order, then we sat, waited and speculated how busy they were. When the food arrived it was cold. Our waiter apologized took it back to replace and this restarted our place in a backed up kitchen. After 25 more minutes of waiting we decided to give it up and left but not before settling a bill for a couple beers. A coke & some warm fries I didn’t even order for $17.49 plus tip! At this point I didn’t have time to argue and it wasn’t the waiter’s fault anyway, so I gave him $21.00 cash and walked, ugh!
Food took over an hour to receive during a not very busy time.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time! Our server was informative and gave great service. We loved the food and the bowls are super good! The bartender was very sweet. However, I never received my points from open table for making the reservation?
