Overall food was good. Wings were terrible though. Fun atmosphere.
Very good pre-concert food and drinks. Service was giood. Restaurant had a great vibe
This place is good for younger people, or for groups. The service was very slow, we had to order more drinks way before they were needed just so it could come on time. We had to ask for plates, forks, napkins , all separate, it would of been nice if they thought to bring together. We asked to sit at one of the tables that were partially outside they said they were reserved for 6 or more people, however they were all empty, and stayed that way even when we left, even though we said we would be there an hour we had a concert to go to. Probably will not be back
The food was excellent and the staff was friendly. My whole family liked their food!
Took my sister here to break some bad news to her....😞. But I had food news to counteract it. Although it took our server 10+ minutes to even come over it was a great experience all together. The food was fantastic and we are now considering this place for my sisters bachelorette party
This was a very cool place to eat before a Tigers game! We would love to go back to take part in the arcade and bowling alley ! Very cool atmosphere !!
Knockout! This place was a terrific find after a week in Detroit for a volleyball tournament. The atmosphere was very cool although a bit loud because so open and large. Incredible drink concessions: try The Watermelon Polo Bowl- you'll be very surprised. Biscuits were great. Pimento Cheese shareable was crazy good. I'd skip the lobster fries next time. Everyone loved their meals from chicken and waffles to sloppy joes and the most incredible vegan burger ever: Impossible Burger. Wish we had room for dessert but large portions made us pass. Wish we had found this place sooner, but highly recommend it for Detroit.
Great place! We really enjoyed ourselves will be back. Service was great!
Started off shaky because of host attitude. But once seated and the drinks and food started rolling in everything was better.
Our first time... The hostess was jovial and the service was very good! We will be back.
We decided to give this restaurant a try for a couples date-night. We made reservations and were seated pretty quickly. There was a little confusion as to who our waitress was but it was figured out eventually. Our waitress was friendly and the food was good, however, portions were smaller than expected. Drinks and beer selection were good. There were quite a few celebrations going on there that night and it seems like this place is best suited for that kind of evening. It was too noisy for good conversation and most of the entertainment/game options were taken up by private parties. Not somewhere you could just drop in. Looked like a good bar scene for the 20-30 age group.
It is meant for a younger group. Music was too loud.
Super fun atmosphere , great service good food. Kinda wish the were just a few more healthier options on the menu but other than that amazing!!! Would recommend to friends.
Great atmosphere, good food, great service. Not once did I have to ask for water and tea refills. Appreciated the vegetarian options on the menu.
Staff was very friendly! Service was prompt and the food choices we made were all fantastic!
Place was fun and upbeat, but the menu was limited and they had unique food. They take classics and switch them up a bit. Some good, some not so much. Better for drinks than a meal. People watching was fun!!
Loud horrible music. Dirty and you can't understand what anyone says
Awesome experience! The food was delicious! The games were fun! The environment was inviting with great vibes!
This was an amazing, charming, quirky place to go to eat. The food was outstanding, and we were given personable and amazing service. Hopefully, I will be able to come back! It was a great time!
We had a great time before our 2nd annual Handlebar excursion!! Good and drinks are always amazing!!
We went here for Mother's Day Brunch. The food was very good. It was fun and the kids really enjoyed it. Our waitress was so sweet and quick to help us out. We'll definitely come back. Maybe for a date night.
Great service by wait staff and management stopped by to check in, very attentive, great food and drinks, wonderful atmosphere.
We had a wonderful time. Our server, April, was great and the food was awesome.
The appetizers were plentiful to share and the main meal was great.
We had a wonderful time and April made sure we were well attended to. Two of us ordered the Green Plate Specials (veggie pasta), and one ordered the Lobster Roll Sandwich. We started with the Sriracha fries and Pimento cheese appetizers along with adult beverages. It all made for a perfect start to our evening prior to the Rain Beatle’s Tribute at the Fox Theatre!
I was very disappointed with our experience. This is the second time I have gone there and have had bad service each time. We sat for 10 minutes before we ever saw a server, then after that we barely saw the waiter. Part of that was not his fault they did not staff appropriately for the morning after an event. The manager waited till the waiter was so far in the weeds before he even helped. Just a poor experience.
We got there right when it opened for lunch and drinks before the baseball game. The staff was great and service was quick. We didn’t realize that this place also seems like a great place to go at night— a bowling alley and arcade area looks so fun! We will be back on our next visit to try this place out in the evening. The food was delicious and our server was attentive and great at giving menu advice when asked.
This was our 3rd time at Punch Bowl Social, and this trip was a bit disappointing. Group of 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 8 & 10). We went on a Sunday around 4 for bowling and a meal. The kids loved the bowling and the arcade, but thought the food was just ok. They had the spaghetti and meatballs and the burger from the kids menu. Neither of them finished their food. They couldn't stop raving about the grapefruit soda, though. I had the A la Bama Chicken Sandwich, which was really good, but my fries were cold, soggy and under-seasoned. The other adult meal was the Lobster Bacon Fries. Those fries were also soggy. Our server was super friendly, but kept forgetting to bring us our drinks and ketchup. We had to ask 3 times. Which was a little odd because the restaurant wasn't that busy. We'll go back because our other experiences at the restaurant have been positive, and we love the atmosphere.
The food was wonderful! Atmosphere great:) I made a reservation for my daughter's 18th birthday. We were supposed to play games afterwards but everything was RSVP for events. They should make you aware as I wouldn't have driven all the way to Detroit for much without the entertainment. Needless to say, my daughyer didnt get the party she was expecting. The server was good but she decided on her own to serve me a $10 cabernet instead of asking me which one I preferred.
Food options need to be better or at least a wider selection.
Crap bathrooms no hot water
Food was meh
No reason to return
It was my birthday and it was great i had soooooooo much fun.
We had a reservation at 6:30 pm for 7 and I was excited to get my team together for some fun and relationship building, just doing something different - having fun downtown. At 3:00 on the day of our event/reservation, I heard from the restaurant that we would not have access to any activities because of private parties. We still kept the reservation and wanted to have the experience of the restaurant, hoping it would still be lively and fun - but it wasn't. Food was fine, drinks were good, service was good - but we were hoping for so much more since we can get that in many other places.
Great Brunch and excellent staff. Whether we have been there for brunch or drinks after a sporting event, this place is a lot of fun.
We had a 1:00pm reservation but ended up arriving by 11:45am and it was no problem. We both ordered the Fargo bowl which is a wonderfully eclectic and healthy option but filling and satisfying as well. We were meeting up on a holiday to talk for hours so we ordered various drinks as well. It was incredibly loud in the dining part of the restaurant, which is unusual.. because they had a college game blasting. But we commented on it and the waitress took care of it.
Food was amazing. Kids had a blast at the arcade. Only issue was one of the entrees we ordered arrived at least 15 minutes after the other entrees.
Restaurant was out of items and service was inattentive
Babysitting the kids
We went there for Christmas Eve. Not a good choice for what I had in mind...no ambiance. They seated us in the bar area (where we were the only guests). Main dining room would have been better. Very cold temperature made it uncomfortable. Service was good. Food looked unattractive but was actually tasty. Would be fine for casual dinner just not special occasion.
The restaurant wasn’t even 50% full. Our server was very nice. However, the kitchen was a total mess. It took 45 min for our appetizer to come. It was sitting under lights for a good 25 min before arriving to our table (we were seated right by the window and could see it) it was cold and lacking flavor. The staff overall seemed very slow and uninterested. Every table surrounding us was upset with their meals (cold, taking too long, wrong dish, etc). Our entrees arrived and looked rushed and not prepared well at all. I usually don’t complain about dining experiences, but this one was exceptionally disappointing. PBS is a place to get drinks and play games....nothing more.
