Pump Ratings and Reviews
In our group we spent upwards up $300. The food was great, the Big Pinky drink was wonderful. However our server was honestly horrible. He was offensive and short with us the entire night. Would definitely go again but would definite request a different server.
The food is much improved from my previous visit, Server was attentive, timely, and very professional. Ambiance is wonderful and they have learned that the background music doesn't have to be deafening to be heard. Its a restaurant where you can talk and don't have to scream across the table -. Very nice evening.
I think this is the kind of place you should go if you really want to impress a girl. Although I was just there too catch up with a good friend, I would love to be taken there. The service, the ambience and the food left nothing to be desired but to come again. There is no pretension and all of the servers and staff want to make you feel comfortable and see that you enjoy your time. The servings are big but that is only going to make your girl happy even if you do share a plate and an appetizer... why take her out to a nice place if she's not going to be able to eat?Better to turn away food then to still be hungry. The food was well prepared and the service and timing was right on point. You will feel like you are on the set of a romantic movie or music video....is this real? Yep, have another martini and I'm definitely coming back.
The surroundings were fun, it had a garden feel. We had a party of four and two really enjoyed their meal and the other two were just meh. I had a Bloody Mary which was ok.
The server was extremely friendly and was around when needed. The food arrived in timely manner and as described. There’s a good selection of wine and spirits.
Two complaints — I listed a special occasion on my reservation and it was not recognized and the hostess that greeted either couldn’t be bothered or just woke up. I live around the corner and rarely see what visitors encounter which is either snobby or disingenuous people like the way she was at check in. It’s a good thing the service beyond our first impression was nice.
It's a very beautiful place when you walk in, gives it a wonderland garden feel to it. We got well greeted and the staff and waiters where super friendly, i loved it. Their signature drinks are amazing I recommend the strawberini, the appetizers and even the food was perfect for us I will definitely come back again.
What to say about PUMP... it was the most overwhelming and yet comfortable restaurant; From the tree inside the restaurant to the umbrellas, chandeliers, and music it was a lot and yet, oh so right! The staff was very friendly. Brian, our waiter, was knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. Would definitely come back when in the area. Nice work Lisa!
We were disappointed upon arrival as the hostess was incredibly lack luster in greeting us. In fact I do not eve recall that she did welcome us. She chewed gum that was really distasteful for a fi st impression and frankly we could have left at that moment believing that was what was to come. Our server Anton rectified the situation and was charming, new to the job but answered all of our questions and made us feel special. The menu choice was such that we could have chosen everything ! We almost did ! Loves the choice and the food. Ambience was sensational.
I have been to this restaurant twice. The food has never disappointed. The drinks are hit and miss. The ambiance is great. However can get noisy due to the club this is literally next door. However the service is not consistent. The server we had on our first visit was outstanding and made our evening fun. The last server he was not on top of his game. Bottom line I don't care how cute you are - just be a good server. However the experience overall was good.
Being a fan of the Real Housewives franchise, it was a no-brainer that I wanted to visit Pump. It was a busy Saturday night, of course, though our server was completely rude. He greeted us on two different occasions as if he had never seen us before; however, we ordered drinks on his first visit. He returns with the wrong drinks. No big deal, but it took a half hour to actually get our order right. We then order our appetizers and entrees. As expected, the food was great. Back to the service. We observe our server, John Michael, struggle with other patrons near-by and they seem equally frustrated with the lack-luster service. My friend managed to stop him and order a drink, though it never arrived. After another half hour of waiting we were able to stop our server and ask for the check. The table next to us was empty at this point, to which our server invites himself to sit down next to us and lean-in. He starts by asking in an extremely inappropriate and condescending tone: "the service here tonight was terrible. Don't you think?" And then he proceeded to awkwardly pause and wait for our responses. I'm not sure if this server lacks social skills or if he normally interacts with guests in this fashion, but I suppose he wanted honest feedback, so we agreed with his assertion. He then tells us that the location of our table meant that we get second-class service and that the larger tables behind us take priority. In an attempt to make good on this awful experience, he asks us if we would like a complimentary beverage on the house. He takes our order and leaves us to pay the check. After 15 minutes, we wait with our check paid and he arrives without beverages and asks me, with my cold plate of food after almost two hours, if I would like a to-go box. I ask to speak to the manager and of course he awkwardly stood next to us and was unable to get the manager for us. I then spoke with Chad, a GM, who said to email the the restaurant, but there was no email listed.
I dined at this location on my own because I was in town for a quick visit and I really liked the ambiance. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. My server made sure that I was well taken care of even though I was on my own.
The only thing is I wish there was WiFi. I was visiting from Canada on my own and would've loved to be able to do something on my phone while I was eating alone.
