We were the only two people in the restaurant on a Friday night. Food was great, but we felt rushed as the only server was closing up the bar while waiting on us.

The place was a ghost town on a Wed evening. It's a good place for afternoon tea. But definitely not an intimate place.

Food was pretty good: we had tuna tartare, lobster blt, and hangar steak. The steak wasn't cooked properly; we sent it back. Second time was only slightly better. Everything else was pretty good besides the massive bowl of mayo that came with the lobster blt? View is lovely: Rockefeller center, the tree, the rink. Nobody else was there for lunch. Very quiet.

Great out of the way place to have a nice meal - lunch or dinner. Beautiful view of the tree, without the crowds and high price point of other locations. Also has a "café" for casual/self serve dining.

This is basically the juice bar at the Equinox gym that shreds the floor, with a fe hot options. Food was mediocre. Nice view of Rockefeller tree, but that is the only good feature. Says something that week between Christmas and New Years at 7 pm we were the ONLY table there. Skip it.

Excellent location right in Rockefeller plaza with views of the Christmas tree and rink. However not crowded and so much more reasonably priced compared to the other restaurants in that area. The server James was excellent. Food was great good and service prompt. While they do not have a kids menu, he offered a number of options they could prepare for kids ranging from breakfast items to flat breads, pasta etc. Extremely pleasurable experience. Only challenge is finding it. Go through the Equinox entrance to the third floor and turn left. Hidden Gem for NYC

Was attracted by reviews regarding the view of the tree and skating rink at Rockefeller Center. Only viewed if you're a giraffe, sitting at a table in front of the window! Restaurant itself is difficult to find, and basically a "dressed-up" corner of a cafeteria. Menu is limited. Prices very reasonable by Manhattan standards. However, taste is average, at best. Lobster BLT had very little lobster. Asian Short Rib had little flavor, was very tender yet dry. Tuna tartare was molded with diced mango and avocado, little seasoning - served with potato chips (?) Scallops were "good" according to my husband. Too many other choices in the city to waste your time here.

Very disappointed in the food. We ordered a variety on the menu and either the flavor was off or food was dry. For example, the seafood soup was terrible. All four of us tried the soup and thought the same thing. The short ribs were not edible either because they were overly dry. The salmon was also dry and the rice/cabbage side underneath was lacking flavor. The service and the scenic view are the best things about the restaurant but not enough for me or my family to go back.

We made a reservation for lunch before going to Radio City Music Hall, and it was close by. We called ahead to get exact directions to get to the restaurant in Rockefeller Plaza, as it is hard to find if you don't know your way around. You have to go through the door of the Equinox Gym and take the elevator to the third floor. The restaurant is small, quiet, and has a view of the skating rink and Christmas Tree. We had a nice, relaxing meal, and had attentive waiter and waitress both. Our meal ( 4 of us ) was comprised of Grilled chicken salads, and a Seafood Risotto, which was yummy. We didn't have any cocktails, but had tea and coffee. No dessert, as we had to leave for the show. I would go back.

The Pulse was good...food was delicious though my med. rare was more med. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. It was a Monday night and we were the only ones in there which was kinda weird. Hard to find it as it is on third floor of an athletic gym, then your first view off the elevator is of a cafeteria (must be the gym's) and you walk through it to get to Pulse which doesn't do it any favors! Also, when the cafeteria makes a smoothie for someone you can't hear yourself talk! sounds like you're in the kitchen...so location is very bad except we did have a view of the lighted trees and flags and rink all around Rockefeller Plaza...if they can just move that cafeteria!

John, the maître D' was excellent!. Incredibly polite and helpful. Our waiter was very polite and helpful as well. The young host and hostesses were not as well trained as they should have been for such a nice place. The food was quite inferior for the price. The view was beautiful. I wish a jacket was required for the men. most people were very under dressed for such an expensive . The casualness of the guests under minded the quality of the place.

Expensive given that it is hanging off of a cafeteria style space. More separation and or a more private entrance would be better. Still it is priced similarly to other restaurants in the area for lunch salads.

Food was fine and waiter service attentive, but what used to be a quiet hideaway lunch spot with a great view of the Rockefeller Center skating rink plaza is no longer. The adjacent cafeteria salad bar features chefs chopping salads at a furious pace, the noise so loud we had to ask the waiter if anything could be done. Won't be going back soon.

I'm checking the "great for lunch" box because I'm assuming 99% of the restaurant's business is the lunch crowd. Why do I say that? Because at peak dinner time, we were literally the only people in the place aside from one guy sitting in their bar/cafe in the next room. But the food was excellent, prices were typical of the City, and the waiter was friendly.

After reading several reviews for PULSE I booked a lunch reservation. What a great surprise for the area where restaurants are a bit pricey. My friend and I were the only customers at the restaurant. We sat at a table overlooking the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center. The waiter and waitress were very attentive and friendly. Our 3 course price fix lunch was delicious! Not only was the food yummy but the presentation and freshness were outstanding!! A glass of wine with our lunch was inexpensive in comparison to New York prices. I would definitely return to PULSE!!

Great food and drink in this tucked away gem. Window views of 'the tree' at Rockefeller Center. Up a couple of floors so no outdoor seating available. Small dining room, with a full bar. A cafeteria style eating area on the other side of the bar also available which always seems busy. Friendly staff and great service experienced each time I've been there.

This restuarant is accessed via the entrance to a gym and their canteen. it is right in the middle of the Rockefeller complex and the windows overlook the ice rink, but we went on a thursday night at 8PM and were the only diners! The menu was interesting, the food was good and well cooked, good value for the location , the waiter was very pleasant-but we were the only people there! the seating is only separated from the canteen by a mobile screen-just no atmosphere .

We got together with our friends from Calif at Pulse not knowing much about this restaurant. We had a great time with James 's brilliant good timing for everything that we ordered. ..from cocktails to main course etc. The food was very good although my hubby would have liked a bigger portion of the steak. Would recommend this to my friends. The view of the skating rink n the Christmas tree is priceless. Again, James is a great asset of this restaurant.

A little restaurant tucked away around the corner from Equinox. The food was good and very reasonable for the area. Our waiter was attentive and our food came out quickly. I recently re-visited one of my favorite NYC restaurants. Pulse is located inside the Equinox gym in Rockefeller Center. It is more than just a cafe. They have about 8 tables hidden behind the bar area with lovely view of the skating rink area. I have been here several times for dinner and it never disappoints. Perhaps this place is bustling at lunchtime, but at dinner you will find a quiet table to linger over a good meal and not be rushed out. Their price fixe menu is a great value for great food. The next time you are looking for a good meal and a great spot to spend time catching up with someone, head over to Pulse.

We were a bit apprehensive when we entered and saw a self service restaurant. But we were guided to the back where the sit down area is. We were seated by the window overlooking the Plaza of Rockefeller Center. Killer view. The waiter was extremely courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. We told him we don't eat meat and he mentioned an off menu vegetarian item But we do eat fish so I ordered the tuna and my husband ordered the Salmon. The Salmon was just delicious as was the side dish. My tuna was a bit bland but the quinoa pilaf was terrific. I have already recommended the restaurant to my friends. Great find off the beaten track.
