Pulehu is amazing! I love this restaurant. Everything was 5 star from start to finish. Rachel the hostess was so nice and sat us right away! Our server Barbara was so helpful and gave us excellent service! Jim Hansen the manager was so great and hands on, he even stopped by our table to say hi and make sure everything was going great! FOOD IS AMAZING!! We got the caprese salad, arancini salad, Rissotto crusted pesce, and lobster rissotto which were all SO good! I get the rissotto crusted pesce every time I dine here, it's phenomenal. The dessert's were yummy too! We got the Tiramisu and Budino. This restaurant is a MUST while in Maui. I call Pulehu a hidden gem. It's perfect if you're celebrating a special occasion, or just want a delicious quiet meal in a good atmosphere. I can't wait for my next visit!
Convenience of charging dinner to other Westin resort room was a plus, but the real deal is the food! Local ingredients that are fresh and healthy and just plain delicious. Easily the best Italian restaurant on Maui. Great selection of wine and other cocktails. Went for my 40th birthday celebration and waitress was spectacular. Open air to koi pond makes for peaceful ambiance.
Very elegant and excellent meal.
The servers and hostess were professional and up best.
Wine Social before dinner was great! Early bird dinner is a pretty good deal
Great visit back to a restaurant we haven’t visited for awhile. Wonderful ambience.
Service was great. At first sight the serving seemed small but I was very full afterwards. I would recommend this restaurant! They have a great value menu before 6:00.
Valet parking was helpful. The service and food was exceptional!
We shared the lasagna which was delicious. It was our last night staying in Maui and we didn't want left-overs! Very large portion. Perfect with a glass of wine.
Valentines dinner. Did not realize it was a fixed 3 course menu. WAY overpriced for the food options.
We’ve eaten there before and been happy. This was NOT good.
Valentines Day dinner was fantastic. 3 course meal for 2 was nothing short of amazing.
Absolutely fantastic food, wine and service! We will be going back.
Food was good, not spectacular. Portions are adequate. Everything was fine, just not memorable.
Great food and amazing service!! Our waiter was extremely friendly
We were staying at the Sheraton Kaanapali and wanted a change of pace for food. I looked on open table and saw this restaurant nearby, so we took a chance. So glad we did - we had a wonderful waitress, excellent food, and great location. I thoroughly enjoyed having a break from normal island food/fish, etc. highly recommend, but make a reservation.
We love Pulehu! It's a must on every visit. We especially like the Sunset Menu. Such a great price on fantastic food. Full size appetizer/salad, entree and dessert for $41. Everything was delicious! Both the caesar salad and the caprese were so fresh. The risotto crusted pesce is a favorite, and we love the sorbet! The service is terrific as well, and though it's not quite ocean front, there is a nice view of the Westin grounds out towards the ocean. Highly recommend!
Excellent food, great service. Large portions. We had the risotto seared fish which was the best I had on the whole trip. Our other dish was lasagna which was also great and lots of leftovers for the next day. Great wine list (Turley two thumbs up) and their tiramisu was big enough for 4. Loved it so much we scheduled another dinner later in the week!
We really enjoyed our experience at Pulehu! We were staying over at the Westin Nanea and got a reservation to go for the Sunset Dinner at 6pm, which is a fantastic value. We brought our 3 year old daughter - our waitress asked us immediately what order she could place to get her meal going, which was really fantastic. Thanks so much for a great time overall!
We got married and had our wedding reception at the Pulehu 9’yrs ago. We had requested an specific table when I made the reservation . The hostess didn’t even honor our request and she has no personality at all. We are NOT coming to dine at this place!
Very noisy! Music much too loud to allow "normal" conversation. However, food & service excellent.
This restaurant has remarkably better food than I had last year. The osso buco was delicious as was the fish special. The 5:30 yo 7 price fix menu was a bargain. The portions were very big and could have been shared
Great service and food.
Service was excellent with prompt seating, great suggestions to consider, anniversary dessert on the house. Fixed Price specials were full portions and considerable value from 5:30 to 6:00 PM. Venue is a partial sunset garden view. White tablecloths with spotless floors. Highly recommend!
We shared an excellent Caprese salad, and our Lobster Risotto and Lasagne were very good too. Good service and a nice bottle of Cabernet. We would recommend it; we were staying at the Sheraton and it was an easy drive over.
Great dinner and excellent service! Everyone loved what they ordered. We’ll be back again on our next trip!
The sunset prefix meal was great and a good value!
Arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately front and center, water/koi pond view. Our waitress was amazing, as was the 3-course dinner (salad/entree/dessert). A perfect dining experience.
My last review was very optimistic about the new menu. My wife and I returned recently for different dishes, and results were a tad different. The burrata and tomatoes were still great, but they both came minutes after we placed our order and several minutes before our cocktails arrived. This is a mgmt issue that should be easily fixable. We ordered steak this time, and got a very nice sized serving along with mashed potatoes, which were good. The steak, however, left much to be desired, as it was tasty, but very chewy. I also asked for garlic butter on my steak, and was told they have truffle butter, which sounded good. It was indeed good, but came at the cost of $16 for a slice. Since this extra cost was only discovered at the bill time, that waitress was nice enough to take it off the bill. The wine list has many nice reds, and service-still good, but this meal did not please us nearly as much as the prior one, which yielded a somewhat glowing review. We are here for two more weeks, so will visit again, and report back. Still much better than in prior years, and $41 price fixe after eight is attractive for local diners.
I was doubtful this would be good because it’s in a hotel but I was totally wrong. It was amazing food and amazing service. Highly recommend!
We had the tasting menu. $125 per person. The manager was flexible on wine choices if there was a wine we’d already had or a varietal we did not like. All were unique and delicious. The courses were all great, with 2 choices for each course. Menu is also very good for those wanting to skip the tasting menu. View and atmosphere were also great. We’d definitely be back.
This Italian restaurant in a busy resort should be so much better. Lobster risotto was just so-so and the risotto was over cooked and not hot. Handmade lasagna should melt in your mouth and cut with a fork not a sawing motion! Very sterile, plasticy atmosphere. Skip this!
