Executive Chef Domenic Tudda spent his childhood years learning of Italian cuisine while his family owned and operated Stromboli's restaurant in Calgary. He furthered his education by undergoing extensive culinary training in Italy and has been able to continue his parent's legacy of bringing unique and incredibly authentic Italian dining to Calgarians. One of the most revered of these ventures is Ristorante Pulcinella, where Domenic first earned distinction when his international training crossed borders and entered Calgary in the spring of 2006. One of the few APN (Associazione Pizzaioli Napolitani) certified pizzerias in the world, Domenic has been able to showcase his culinary skills, incredible wine knowledge, and passion for Italian cuisine to provide Calgary with a truly artistic, original and delicious experience not soon to be forgotten. Certainly not your classical North American pizza, it's definitely different, but definitely delicious.

The food was so so. The staff who contacted us was a little csreless and he finally forced us to give him 20% tip that was about 30 bucks.

                                                                                              Amazing food!!!The whole experience from start to finish was great ! our table got the best / most experienced waiter and he was always so friendly and kind and very attentive . we had to change our reso from 6 to & and they did it with pleasure .The food can’t get any better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food.amazing atmosphere. Chef Dom Tudda is still the best Italian chef in Calgary and his food is out of this world ! i recommend this place to anyone . everything on the menu is heavenly.

                                                                                              The waiter asked us 3 times within the first 15 minutes after we sat down what we wanted for entrees!! Really. We then asked for a wine recommendation of a big bold juicy wine and he asked us -wait for it - white or red. 😣. The bruschetta was disappointing the arancinis super bland. Out of 5 meals only the carbonara was top notch. The noise was constant you had to shout to talk to the person next to you and the constant spell of burning crusts was unpleasant. Would not go back with all of the amazing Italian restaurants in calgary they will really need to up their game.

Food was a good experience of authentintic Italian. I just have a hard time accepting the cost of $325 for a family of 5 to eat out. Ouch. Nice experience but we don't need to pay that money for a fun time out with kids.

The service was very good. The only issue we had is it is very noisy when the place is busy, and it was for a Monday night. We found it hard to hear the conversation from across the table due to the noise level. I would go back for the food though.

If you haven’t tried Authentic Italian Cuisine, Pulcinella’s is the place. Their certified Neopolitan Pizza will bring you to the taste of Naples, Italy. Also for anyone not familiar with Italian Cuisine, try educating yourself with their recipes so you don’t confuse them with the American version of these dishes. NO PINEAPPLES ON PIZZA HELL YEAH!!! Just try it Ciao!
