It's a great experience and if you have the possibility to splurge around $300 per person, you should definitely go. However, it's good, it's nice, wonderful experience, but not $250.00 better than a good traditional Mexican restaurant. Oh, and take into account that you'll be spending around 2.5-3.0 hours there, because the dishes take long.

This dinner exceeded my expectations, which were pretty high. Every bite was delicious and we left unexpectedly full. This dinner had to have been one of the best-valued meals I have ever eaten. Kudos to the chef.

Believe the hype: the food is creative and the flavors combined and new and intriguing ways. The lighting was too dark to appreciate all of what was being presented but it was still very enjoyable.

We loved everything: the food, the drinks, the ambience and especially loved the service. We had a once in a lifetime experience. It was truly something special. However, we felt the drinks were a bit overpriced. Everything was so carefully choreographed that we appreciated each portion of our meal. Many thanks all.

For our first ever trip to Mexico, we had reserved Pujol as the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, their reality did not meet our expectations.

We sat in the corner, and as night fell, the lighting (if one could call it that) was so dim that we could not see the presentation of the food. The dark dishware, while beautiful, did not help. Difficult to appreciate what we could not see.

For a restaurant of this stature, we would have expected the servers to be more polished, which is not to say they should have been formal.

And most sadly of all, many of the dishes and flavors did not impress. The 2 street snacks were meager - one simply being a carrot?! The lobster’s flavor in the inflatida was masked. The mole was good but not great and the black sesame tamal’s flavors did not go well together. The lamb was the best dish of the 6 given the subtleness of its gamey flavor.

All in all we were excited but disappointed. CDMX amazed us but Pujol did not.

Some dishes were excellent, others merely OK. At this price level, I expect greater consistency. Also, the service had several glitches. The lobster course, which carried a supplemental charge, was served to us without the accompanying sauces. We found it very bland and we're surprised at its dryness. Then we saw the table next to us receive the same course and realized that they had omitted the sauces. We asked the waiter about it, and his initial response was that the sauces would have been spicy. (So?). Then we saw him huddle with another waiter to discuss what to do about it. Their decision must have been nothing, because we did not receive so much as an apology and they still charged the supplement for the lobster. Later, we ordered a stout beer to accompany the mole. The first pour yielded 100% foam and it took ten minutes of our unhappy looks before they took it away and tried again. The waiters were well meaning and attentive, but not well trained. I would expect much more at this price point.

We also found the room to be a little noisy and lacking in elegance, although it had a nice youthful vibe, if that's what you're looking for.

All in all, the food was good and the experience not a disaster, but I have to admit that I was disappointed relative to my high expectations and relative to the high price point.
