About Puerto 27 Peruvian Kitchen & Pisco Bar
Indulge in delicious Peruvian fare and cocktails next to a panoramic view of the ocean at Puerto 27. Located next to the Pacifica Beach Hotel, this restaurant serves thoughtfully prepared dishes in a vibrant setting. The menu includes Peruvian classics, such as the pollo a la brasa (Peruvian chicken), paella (mixed seafood and rice) and lomo saltado (marinated beef stir-fried with vegetables). Puerto 27 is also a great place to visit for some authentic anticuchos.
Puerto 27 offers a fine selection of wine and craft beer to complement its meal, with Happy hour specials running between 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. during the work week. The bar also serves a list of Piscos, Peru's national spirit made from grapes. The mosto verde is a must-try. Made with a blend of four varietal grapes, it pairs well with most dishes.

Puerto 27 Peruvian Kitchen & Pisco Bar Ratings and Reviews
We have been going here for months had Lo as our server and she is fantastic. Everything on the menu is like nothing 90 percent of the restaurants serve but have never ordered anything not wonderful. Expect for a slow event this is not a restaurant that is an in and out. Go there when you are not in a hurry because that is not how this restaurant is. Everything fresh and wonderful but go with it for great food. Very busy on Sunday's so expect delays but worth the wait just go with that attitude and I guarantee you will have the best food in Pacifica and San Francisco.
I noted in the reservation that it was his 50th bday. When we arrived none greeted us and the waiters that took us to the table didn't even smile. I asked to have table inside since it was a bit too chilly outside and they offered the smallest table inside despite the fact that 99% of the restaurant was available and it was already 1:00 pm so clearly there where not expecting a large crowd. I made the waitress notice that my husband had a cast on one leg and was on crutches therefore we needed a bit more room. Not only he was annoyed but he also scolwded me for taking the plates with me and practically took them for my hands with impatience. Mind you no one had yet smiles. Luckily the waitress that waited on us was efficient and informative as well as attentive, although also never smiled once. There was never a mention of the bday I had listed which was very disappointing, I drove from the city (SF) just because my husband had seen the place and wanted to try it. All and all it gives the feeling that the staff is not happy to work there.
Recommended by many locals and highly rated online, we decided to make a reservation for a Sunday night. We were BLOWN away by how good the food was. Started by splitting an order of ceviche (Ceviche Puerto) and an order of the Causa (Causa Cangrejo) - both really well executed with fresh ingredients. I had the Paella which had an abundance of meat and seafood, but lacked some overall flavor. SO had the bistek a lo pobre which was delicious. Great cocktail menu, and I highly recommend the sangria.
I love this restaurant. We go here all the time. We walk from our house. It's about a mile, but that way we can eat a ton. Order a Lindamar. It's not on the menu, but it's a wonderful drink. Great empanadas! The trout, duck, and chicken stew are my favorites. The servers are very attentive, even when it gets busy, which it can get, especially on a beautiful weekend like we just had.
We made reservations because it is normally crowded, especially on Friday & Saturday evenings. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw a booth in the bar vacant so we could watch the Giants vs. Pirates game. Service was still pretty good and we could also watch the chefs from there in the open kitchen. My halibut was excellent.
I gave this place a second chance and they failed. First time was last mother's day the place was packed and we waited for almost 45 for our reservation but what can you do it is a nice day and it's mother's day food took forever, service was very poor but at least we got a view so I thought lets give it another chance later on.
2nd failure this weekend again the same scenario, food took forever the service was worst than before but again at least we enjoyed the view.
The bottom line if you don't care about time or service then it's a good spot to enjoy the view and the food (let's give credit where credit is due) otherwise bring a nice picnic basket and a nice bottle of wine and enjoy the view and nature without paying the high price and mediocre service
For anyone who's curious, Puerto 27 in Pacifica is really good food. Last night (8/12), while the fog was rolling in to South SF, Pacifica was clear as a bell and presented us with a beautiful sunset and balmy evening. The food at Puerto is Peruvian inspired, with a wide selection of seafood and non-fishy dishes. The drink menu is inspired and well worth it. I enjoyed my Painkiller more than the Dill (too smoky). Finally, the view from the balcony, up the hill just a bit, was spectacular. All in all, a pretty perfect dining experience.
Happened upon this restaurant through Open Table and decided to try based on previous reviews. It was a great find - the food was unique and delicious, the staff was attentive and helpful, and the scene was beautiful, overlooking the ocean through floor to ceiling windows. Highly recommended.
I stood at the entrance for 10 mins. Nobody even acknowledged me until my male lunch date showed up. The service was ridiculously slow. The oysters were delicious but no lemon, no seafood forks. The rest of the food was pretty but not very impressive tasting and tiny portions for high prices. I might go back for drinks or apps but certainly not if I have somewhere else I need to be anytime soon.
Great service!!! We went to have dinner, the food was okay, we had cabrito, paella, bisteck ala pobre my steak was right temperature but it was a little cold from the outside it seem that they had the food out for while before taking to the take but everything was good. The drinks were excellent i had two glasses of wine one was albarino laxas and the malbec not sure which one . The best of my dinner was the service, christopher our server was really good at his job really attentive, professional, he was always checking if we were ok he made jokes he made our dinner incredible. I will recommend him him.
This has been our 3rd visit to Puerto 27. Midweek lunch, weekend lunch, and weekend dinner. On every occasion the the dishes came beautifully presented.I can't even recommend any particular dish since all of them were very good. Our dining companions liked their choices as well. The beer and wine lists are small, but we opted for their specialty drinks and they are good. The desert menu is small as well, try the flan with roasted strawberries. I'd rather have another appetizer or maybe Yucca fries.Week ends are noisier but when the weather is nice you can dine outside and watch the surfers. Ask for a table by the window, it will feel as you were on vacation.
The entrees, while small, were very good. The dessert was a disappointment: I tried the Peruvian Pumpkin Fritters but, after a long wait, I found them to be more like fried dough and couldn't even taste the pumpkin.
I have to say that the service was very slow even though it was not that crowded. There was only one waitress on duty, doing her best.
Will only go back if I can sit outside. The terrace is lovely with a spectacular view of the ocean. Inside it is way too loud for any conversation. Turn the music down and add some noise absorbing soft textures.
Our waitress Jennifer was lovely and accommodating.
What a disappointment. Much too loud for any conversation and the food flunked: lamb shank dry, the "special" a vastly over-priced mish-mash of incoherent flavors in a phony little stack. The yam at the base wasn't fully cooked, the next layer was a slice of SOUR pineapple - why not a ripe one? - then a skimpy piece of mahi-mahi, topped with a "crab" salad that might have had a teaspoon of crab in among the strips of raw veggies. The lemon grass/ginger sauce would have been good on a simple filet - in this mess it just overwhelmed everything. Absurd.
The staff were friendly but seemed new to the job... an acoustic engineer could help immensely and if we had to sit by the door to avoid being near the shrieking party in the other corner, did we really need to have the window-washer at work as our view on a Friday evening? Not very elegant! We won't be back there. Too bad, too, because the location is great.
Had a 6pm reservation and was disappointed that most of the dishes were sold out. Most of of our table of 6 had to choose alternative plates because what we went for had finished. Sat at 6pm didn't get entrees served until 8. Overall not a good father's day dinner, very disappointing!
Beautiful building with magnificent views of the ocean. Food was beautifully presented . I noticed that some items were overcooked for my liking (corazon and chicken anticucho), however that will not deter me from recommending to my friends what a great experience I had. Causa, Ceviche, Choritos, Pisco Sours, and great beers on draft, that was a nice surprise!
I am Peruvian, and this restaurant does Justice to the great Peruvian cuisine. The service was impeccable, the food authentic and delicious. The lamb stew was tender, plenty of lamb, and the flavors delicate and sophisticated. The ceviche made me feel as if I was sitting on the Limena coast, and the cause sampler was innovative, yet faithful to the classic. All in all, the total dining experience was superb and met all of my expectations for dinner, even with two small children. The servers were attentive not only to us but to the children as well. Don't miss this restaurant.
Loved the whole Branzino. Delicious sangria. Accommodates special requests. There were 2 of us that dislike cilantro which is difficult to avoid in many restaurants these days. Also a fantastic wait person. Attentive, skilled, kind & funny. Very loud but it was a Friday night. Much quieter weekdays.
Food is awesome and view of the beach great!! Open atmosphere is comfortable. My only complaint would be you better have plenty of time as the service was very SLOW. We waited an hour for our food. Although the service was friendly, for a Saturday lunch......way to long to wait!
