This was our first time at this restaurant. The experience was most enjoyable; and we look forward to returning.
great food. sangria was delicious.
the beef stirfry was exceptional.
Valentines Day, prix fixe menu, five course. Seafood theme, great wine pairings
My hubby and I had a date night on Saturday. I had read the reviews for Pucquio and made reservations. Our reservations were for the Chef's counter. The chef is talented (both of them) and they were graciously answered our questions. The menu is fabulous, staff is warm and inviting...can't wait to go back to try other menu options.
Awesome food and service. Really accommodating and cerviche and mains were really tremendous. Portion size was bigger than expected and picked a ton of flavor. Would absolutely recommend.
Outstanding food and extremely nice couple running the place !
The best ceviche!! I've been to Peru several times and loved the food, especially the ceviche. This is great!
One of the very top restaurants in the Oakland/Berkeley Bay Area. The freshest, best hand-made Peruvian food available. This is the Chez Panisse of Peruvian restaurants. It takes a little longer to get your food because each dish is hand-made. An experience not to be missed. Enjoy!
Amazing people and every dish was seasoned and cooked to perfection. They made me and my partner feel extremely well taken care of even though they had no idea we were celebrating a spice level occasion. The whole fried fish dish is well worth it and the pork belly is also amazing. Worth every penny.
Took a friend here for her birthday with two others. Truly a unique and wonderful dining experience. Very small and intimate space too! Food is super fresh and seasonal. Simply amazing. A must go.
Fantastic food and great environment. Will definitely go back.
Have dine there several times and always enjoy!
Overall it was a fine experience. I was however really hoping to have Pescado Saltado. The portions were fine, except for the ceviche. For the price, I'd have expected a larger portion. I was also disappointed they didn't have a liquor license as I was really hoping to have a Pisco Sour. Also, the bathroom is a little hike away and not on premise, so you have to go outside which was unfortunate to the overall dining experience. The service was great and the entire staff lovely. Its a small place, and I really love Peruvian food, so I'll likely go back. I love that they are a family restaurant and I really hope they do well.
Best Peruvian food in the bay area, bar none. This is a small, intimate place. Reservations are helpful.
Very enjoyable experience. Food was very good and the service was great. The venue is a bit small and the bathroom is not on the premises, but those things can be overlooked.
Service was excellent! Food was outstanding!! Def recommend!!
The food was outstanding and the owner was very generous with his time and recommendations considering that they were expecting a very large party. I will definitely return.
Fabulous restaurant, with a slow-food vibe and unique and interesting, fresh flavors. Plan your evening around the dinner and be there for 3+ hours. A delightful treat.
Excellent food and service. Very nice place.
Excellent food, friendly staff. Best Peruvian restaurant in the bay.
Food was great and unusual. It felt like a family kitchen: very welcoming and eager to help diners unfamiliar (as we were) with the cuisine. In future, we will take out, however, because the tables are packed in, there is only one waiter, and the noise level made it stressful to have a conversation.
Pucquio is the best restaurant in Oakland. The food is impeccable, every single time -- from the ceviche to the main courses. The presentation and food quality are always outstanding -- with flavors you honestly wish you could just keep eating! The service is always great - small restaurant, with just a handful of tables and a very attentive staff. We LOVE this restaurant!
It’s a tiny, cozy place, with warm and friendly service to match.
Wow, phenomenal place with excellent food and service. The intimate descriptions with the chef at table transformed this dinner into a beautifully unique experience.
Sat at the counter. Chef was amazing and personable. Food was outstanding.
Food is amazing and chefs are friendly. Service is leisurely which is nice to just have a long slow dinner. Only complaint is that we made a reservation for 7 but did not get seated until 7:20, which negates the whole purpose of a reservation.
Food is awesome!
Amazing, super fresh seafood. Will definitely be coming back.
The best Peruvian food in the East Bay Area. Exceptional cebiche super fresh and well seasoned. They’re appetizers and main entree’s are extremely creative. We’ll be back.
We went here for my wife’s birthday and absolutely loved our meal, which was cooked perfectly. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly as well. The restaurant is very small, so quiet personal conversations may be limited but it also gives it an almost cozy atmosphere where where you may make friends with the table next to you. We will definitely be back, we want to sit at the counter next time!
Outstanding food, both for omnivores and vegetarians. Very friendly service, and live music many Wednesdays.
We love this place. Low key and informal with amazing food. Sit at the chef’s counter; laugh and share stores with the owners and enjoy amazing food. The ceviche, the lomo Saltado, the mixed salad (served on watermelon), and the yucca fries never disappoint.
Great food and the owner, Carlos’s, was an excellent host.
They've never disappointed me with their food and friendly customer service.
We come here every year on our anniversary and are never disappointed. The food is delicious and unusual and the chef and staff always make us feel like honored guests and friends. We like to sit at the counter, and every time we've done that we wind up talking to other folks who are as dazzled by the whole experience as we are.
Everything was great! It would have been better with more non-alcoholic beverage choices!
Wonderful! Thank you for another delicious visit! See you soon!
Great little spot with fresh menu and friendly staff. Fun to watch cooking in process behind the small counter. Half a dozen close tables added some fun cross-table talk.
Excellent— one word says it all—- worth the expense
