A little history…
Have you ever walked into a place, and you instantly feel at home? Well, Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant is that sort of place. Founded in the 1950s, Puckett's served as a country store to several communities in Williamson County. It has always been the place to buy some food, grab a good homemade sandwich and catch up on the day's events in the world and at home.
In 2004, Puckett's opened in Historic Downtown Franklin, and now in 2010, Downtown Nashville as well.
Southern breakfasts with local, organic eggs, award winning burgers, plate lunches, fresh salads, cherry wood smoked BBQ pulled pork and ribs, and homemade desserts, make every meal memorable.
Add live entertainment from some of Nashville's greatest artists and songwriters and you have the complete Puckett's experience!
Open at 7am every day, Puckett's invites you to come on down and see us!

Puckett’s Historic Downtown Franklin Ratings and Reviews
Dinner: Waiter seemed rushed, aggravated and simply not interested.
Food was fine but was a bit overpriced. There are not many options for family type dining in downtown area so Puckett’s was our choice.
Breakfast: Had breakfast on Sunday morning at Puckett’s after realizing that Meridee’s was closed. Took forever for items offered from the menu. Two of us opted for the buffet - had to ask to please refill- and we were finished eating when my husbands omelet finally arrived. Waitress was nice but not very attentive.
Overall, I think the staff considers this to be just a job not realizing that customers would appreciate common courtesy.
This was our fourth time to enjoy eating at Puckett’s. We live about 200 miles away, but whenever we are in the area we make a point to stop in.
Food, service, atmosphere and music were great as always.
Next time we are in the area we will make arrangements to enjoy a couple of hours with them again.
Music was great, but there was one table that was very disruptive and loud. When we pay cover, we expect patrons to be quiet and respectful of musicians. No employee would intervene on our behalf. Pucketts needs to think about adopting a Shhh policy like Bluebird!
The wait staff was very good, but the food was okay at best. The atmosphere would be fine at a time when there is no live entertainment. We were there on a Friday night, though, when there was a live band playing oldies. The band wasn't too bad, but it was way too loud for the place and not at all worth the $12 per person cover charge in addition to the food prices. Although we made our reservation six weeks ahead of time, our party of six was seated directly in front of the band - two or three feet from the speakers. The noise was literally painful.
This was our first time at Puckett's, celebrating my husband's birthday. We were seated 25 minutes before a server acknowledged us. The service picked up from there and everyone enjoyed their meal. We made our reservation through Open Table and were not told there was a $12/each cover charge (adults) plus $6/each for kids on Friday/Saturday nights, thus were surprised at the additional $52.00 charge added to our bill. The waiter explained that we should have been told at the time we made our reservation.
I usually go to the downtown Nashville Puckett's - I hadn't been to this location in 10 years. It is quaint in a good way. The food was the same as Nashville - great Southern comfort food. My server Tyler was very attentive and friendly - he even brought water to my friends who were singing when asked. I was here to see the Steel Blossoms - great show - there isn't a bad seat in the place. Finished off the meal with cherry cobbler - to die for. I'll be back!
I was in Franklin for a few days & heard of Puckett's, it does not disappoint! The restaurant was very nice, the food great ( I had the pulled pork) & the service was awesome, super friendly people! I had the opportunity to see Emily Reeves perform while dining, love her!!! If your in Franklin, go to Puckett's !!
We go to Pucketts primarily for the music which was outstanding on the last visit, the Rockettmen who play only Elton John music. It is a great venue for watching smaller groups, i.e. 1-5 band members. Very casual atmosphere. Food is pretty good, especially the smoked chicken and pork bbq. Service is great.
The food was terrific. Had the piggymac and the Cajun chicken and waffles. Both were delicious. Service was mediocre, don't ignore customers who ask you questions and more importantly, don't repeatedly forget items ordered to the point it feels intentional.
The service was truly awful . Our server acted as though we were a bother to her . Luckily we were catching up with family so had time to just sit and talk while we painstakingly waited for her to bring drinks and food and the whole time she blamed other people ..... the kitchen, the bartender etc but it was truly the worst service I've ever had in a restaurant . Disappointed bc having just moved to Franklin we had been so looking forward to trying this place out . Sadly nothing from our first visit will bring us back .
Love the casual dining atmosphere. The menu offered a very good selections of food and the service is very friendly. I had the best meatloaf in my life here. It had a incredible smoke flavor and so tender and moist! Loved it!! The food was so good we went for breakfast the next morning! A must visit if you are in Franklin!!
Pucketts is a local, historic restaurant in downtown Franklin. Always a fun place to see live music and have a nice southern style meal. I had the salmon dinner and I'd rate it as a 3 1/2. The sides, smashed sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli were very good, but the salmon was just ok. We went primarily to see the band , Boomerang, and it was great. It is a nice venue for viewing live music.
Server (Courtney?) very friendly and accommodating. Very kind to bring out birthday candle on cobbler. Our friend was thrilled!
Really enjoyed the guitarist/singer who performed in the early part of the dinner hour.
Thankful that the floor was not slick like the M'boro store. (My husband was very sore after he fell there.)
We will be back.
Puckett's has been great in the past. This time, I had the smoked meatloaf. The other person in my party had the ribs. The meatloaf was full of gristle. The ribs were tough. The waitress took my friends drink order and turned around and walked away when I said I wanted to order a glass of wine and looked at me like I was some sinner for drinking wine on a Sunday. After dinner when we mentioned that the food was not up to par she took our plates away and didn't say anything... No apology... NOTHING.
First time being disappointed in the food. Ordered the special Southern fried chicken (which is usually very good) - they said they were out of white meat but ordered dark meat instead. It came with a chicken leg and thigh. I would think that there should be a little discount in the price when there is a replacement with less quality. Otherwise - service was good as always and the atmosphere was energetic along with great entertainment!
