Puckett's Boat House
I took three grandsons and my daughter for al fresco dining. In parking lot, no ambience, poor service and expensive for what it was........underwhelmed.
We were sat in a room with a large party which slowed our service. But otherwise a great meal and experience.
Nice place, good music, good food but slightly pricier than it should be. We enjoyed it and will go back.
Puckets was a great place to have dinner and catch up with a dear friend I had not seen in months. Because it was Trivia night, the host seated us in a quiet corner of another room. Wait staff was attentive while also sensitive to our desire to be left alone to visit.
Such a huge disappointment!! I brought 12 women from all over the US and Canada to Franklin for a creative retreat and was excited to introduce them to the wonderful food in Franklin. Puckett’s was not one of them! The table was so dirty and sticky that our menus literally stuck to the table. The floor was filthy. The food was mediocre at best. The service was poor and the prices were too high for the quality of their food. Will never eat there again! If you want excellent food at a reasonable price....go to Grays On Main just a block away. It was amazing!!!!!
What a great brunch! Cost per person was very reasonable, and the food was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back again soon.
Excellent food and service
Our hush puppies were cold. My shrimp was over cooked! The food overall was not worth the high price. Very disappointed!
Open Table reservation worked perfectly. We walked in right on time and got a table near a window, as requested. My husband wished they would make it known if a dish is spicy. (He is wimpy when it comes to spices.) Guac and Pico appetizer was delish! It was the only thing I could order since I am vegan (I wish there were more plant-based options.) My out-of-town friend loved her seafood and wants to come back.
This was my first time at Puckett's Boat house and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely go back again
Delicious food and reasonably priced! Would definitely eat at PBH again when in Franklin.
The tables were quite dirty and with only 1-4 of the restaurant seated the service was extremely slow. We had to send to the kitchen for some of the food left off of our order.
The food was the quality we have experienced at the other Puckett restaurants!
We went here for lunch celebrating our 39 years of marriage. They treated us so friendly during our entire visit . Great Job!!!!!!
We were there for brunch. I have been in the past, but was very disappointed with my experience. Our first trip up to the buffet the fruit was very low, pancakes and waffles were empty, there was no carving station, and the dessert table had nothing! I don't have a problem paying top dollar for a brunch buffet, but I also expect it to be stocked and with good variety. I was embarrassed because I brought my parents there after raving about it, but we all left very disappointed
The blackened catfish had no flavor and bread was overcooked for the Po’ boy. We had to ask for a server and they brought the wrong food out. The waitress said she was going to get us bread and we never got that. The waitress and other staff seemed to consumed at the hostess table talking to pay attention to their customers. We were excited about having a family dinner and it did not turn out that way.
Our waitress was great. Food was just ok. We ordered the calamari and it had a lot of extra grease. The oysters were good. The shrimp was just ok. We would go back again just to give it another chance bc of the great service and the atmosphere!
Great wait staff. Liked the flavors of the food.
Food was tasty. Service was friendly!
Thing is, I get it & support the reason prices for baskets of fried foods being high which is to offset the entertainment expenses. And any Puckett's is a great place to go for entertainment while you're munching on high dollar fried. But lunch, forget it. Now I will say that the brunch looked pretty good & if we were coming back, (definitely not for lunch), I would've given the Sunday brunch a shot.
For dinner sure.
The waitress was great, very attentive. Hostess didn't want to be there.
Next time around, off to Connor's.
Great place to have lunch. Service and food was very good
We were in town for a conference and The Boathouse was recommended and it didn’t disappoint. We will be back next time we’re in Franklin!!
Love the atmosphere! Catfish was spicy for me and I can’t handle spicy. So don’t go off of my opinion. The key lime pie is a must!
The brunch it's awesome!! Definitely a must-try.
Incredible gulf coast style seafood.
The food was great. Our server did a great job. I look forward to dining with friends again at puckers boat house.
Great food. Good service. Casual dining experience.
We enjoyed the meal, but were very disappointed the live-music wasn’t there. We come from Europe and reserves this place months before just for having a music night with good food. Mentioned that in the reservation and had appreciated if they let us know upfront so we could have made another reservation.
Excellent food and service. One of our favorite restaurants
A great place to go with friends. Waiter was excellent. Recommended a local wine which was very good. Recommended the Cobia which was excellent and a friend had the Salmon Burger that he recommended for the next time I go. This is my "go to" place when friends visit from out of town.
Four out of the six in our party had never been to Pucket's Boathouse. We were celebrating our grandson's 21st birthday.
It was trivia night, and no one in our party knew anything on the subject so we were offered another room. Which I thought was really nice!
All of the food was excellent!
Our first table was very sticky, no problem, we moved. Second table was quite wobbly but we made it work. Food was delicious and the singer was amazing. They don’t carry popular liquor (kinda weird) and they were out of the ones they do carry.
Saturday night at 7:15 is probably peak time so the staff was a little slow in getting to us once we were seated. The manager came and took our drink orders until our server could come by. All our meals were delicious and the music was wonderful. Lots of families there and just a great overall atmosphere.
Meal was very good
We would and we did. Food was very good and plentiful. Unfortunately we live in Ohio, so we go by Franklin seldom. We will stop there the next time we travel.
Think we were the only people there during the Super Bowl
Had a girls weekend with 5 friends from out of town and wanted to take them for some delicious food. They loved it! Only wish on Saturday night that there would’ve been music, but it was still great.
Oysters were too small and expensive. Food was too spicy what takes the flavor of the food away. Service was great but only by our waiter, the staff were not friendly. Very disappointed.
We live in Illinois, but for my wife and I this is a must stop location. The place is full of character, good music, great local food and local drink. Excellent red beans and rice, washed down by the Bearded Iris IPA. Perfect. Wife said it was the best Salmon burger she ever had, she was drinking a Chard, so go figure...
Scott was an excellent host in the bar.
We will be back, God willing and the creek don’t rise.
