About Puckett's 5th & Church
Founded in the fifties, people have been congregating at Puckett"s for over half a century. We've updated a bit, added some recipes from our family and friends, and thrown in some great live music. But it's still Puckett's Grocery... nothing too fancy, but everything good. It's where the locals go for real food, real people and real fun.

Puckett's 5th & Church Ratings and Reviews
Thank goodness we had a reservation, as the place was packed for a Sunday afternoon/evening.
Service was a little slow, likely because the restaurant was rather busy ahead of the Garth Brooks concert. Our server may have been a bit overwhelmed, because it took our food a rather long time to arrive, and it didn't seem piping hot when it did arrive (both our fried green beans appetizer and our entrees). Even so, the food was tasty and we were able to finish our meal in time to make it to the concert with no troubles. Will definitely return for future meals!
We love Puckett’s and the fun, home style atmosphere, and even though it can get a bit noisy, it’s never so bad that you can’t still carr6 on a normal conversation. T(e wait staff is always prompt and attentive and this visit was no exception. Our table was ready when we arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. We were a party of 4 eating before an event at the Ryman and gave ourselves plenty of time before the performance. Two ordered the special, which was a sampler which the6 really enjoyed, one ordered the chicken and waffles which he proclaimed wonderful, and I ordered shrimp and grits, simply because I had not had them at Puckett’s yet and I love good shrimp and grits. I was the only one a little disappointed. The grits were soupy and the andouille sausage was fine. But who leaves the tails on the shrimp? Especially at $24, I didn’t expect to have to fish around in the ‘soup’ and remove tails. Anyway, it was a little more spicy than I expected but tasty. I should have stuck to bbq, and that is the only reason for my 4 stars for food on this rating. DH gave me a taste of his ribs and they were wonderful.
We flew in from Michigan on Thursday morning and had reserved a table at Puckett's for Thanksgiving dinner. We walked over from our downtown hotel and were seated even earlier than our reservation. Excellent buffet food with all of the traditional Thanksgiving food items. Topped it all off with peach cobbler. Loved the place and the food.
The food was great but the service was okay. We had a reservation. We were seated right away but sat there 10 minutes and no one ever came over to serve us. I went to the Hostess to let them know. They sent our waitress over away. She explained that was new and used that as an excuse the entire night.
This is a go-to spot when we have tickets to shows at TPAC - it is close, convenient, the food and service have always been great - they also play great music in the background. I have also been to Puckett's on live music nights. Quite a treat. We enjoyed our evening meal with good friends before the show (Les Mis) so it was one great night!
Food was delicious. Service was great. We made a reservation so there was no waiting for us but I heard others were having to wait 30 minutes to an hour. This was our first time at this location, we have been to the Franklin restaurant before. We were not disappointed. Would recommend to anyone who likes good food in a great atmosphere.
