Puckett's 5th & Church
House-ground, slow-smoked and finished on the grill. Topped with mushroom gravy, served with flat iron green beans and mashed potatoes.
Shrimp & Grits
Jumbo shrimp blackened and sauted with peppers, onions, garlic, tomatoes and mushrooms over Gouda Weisenberger grits. Served with a house salad.
First visit and was hoping for better food and attentive staff. Instead, the food was edible but nothing special. The restaurant was very understaffed so ordering took quite a while as did refills and getting our check and paying. The bright spot was the musician -Drake Freeman- who was very good and engaged well with the staff.
Get the chicken fried chicken. It will change your life.
Great time...food, service, beer selections , and atmosphere all two thumbs up!! Next time we’re in Nashville we will be back!
Went for our anniversary dinner, loved the food and the music!
Due to the pandemic we were a little apprehensive about going out to a restaurant but Puckett's handled our experience extremely well plus the food was terrific.
Food was just not very good, but the service was great.
A must see in Nashville! BBQ was delicious!
Great food and service!
Great restaurant, service fantastic. Really missed the music but was happy to be out post the COVID-19 shutdown. Will definitely be back!
Outstanding once again. Food and service was excellent.
Meal was great as usual but the server was inattentive probably because we were sitting outside and he didn’t want to make the trip. Missing the live mustc
The smoked pepper queso was great! The real winner is the cherry wood smoked pulled pork. Amazing flavor! I highly recommend the Piggy Mac. You will not be sorry!
Great food. Glad we made it a part of our weekend. Service was super friendly.
I was able to get into my reservation early, which was great! The food was amazing, and the service was spectacular! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Meh. Brisket was tough, cornbread was a hockey puck. Music was good! And surprising the house wine was not bad. Would not recommend
Great food, awesome service
Best meatloaf I’ve ever eaten (I don’t even really like meatloaf but it was amazing!). Skillet Mac and cheese is highly recommended!! Now I want to go back for breakfast.
The service was excellent. Food was fair. Several at our table had ribs - all agreed they were dry and overcooked. The meat loaf was o.k. Excellent Cuban sandwich. Pound cake was very disappointing. Very heavy with almost a cornbread consistency. Was hoping for music, but we were there at 6 pm and music did not start until 8 pm. Was conveniently located to Ryman Theater where we were headed after dinner.
Delicious food, great service, fast order-to-table time, tasty drinks!!
Delicious & excellent service. Had the meatloaf dinner- order extra gravy, then it’s perfect!
We chose this restaurant based on its popularity; however, we were very disappointed with the food. The service and atmosphere were nice and fun, but drinks and food were definitely subpar. Even as we were arriving, others leaving were talking amongst themselves about how disappointed they were with their meals. Maybe it was an off night, but I would not chance it again. Would not recommend.
Food was just okay to me, but the service and live music were excellent!
We're frequently travelers to Nashville and always make a point of having a meal at Puckett's. It's usually awesome. On the particular night, not so much. We had a reservation for 7:15 and were seated promptly. The restaurant was full and the live act for the night was preparing to play. Understandably, it took some time for our server to get to us so we weren't annoyed by that. However, after ordering and our lengthy wait, for food, we were served 6 cold meals... everything from steak to BLT sandwiches, fries, mac n' cheese, mashed potatoes, etc. All cold. It was our choice not to send the food back, fearing it would be another 40 minutes before we would have anything to eat. As a result, we left a lot of food on the table that night. We noticed several other tables with uneaten food as well, after patrons had left. This was, of course, no fault of our server. He was courteous and tried his best to take care of us. Just too many tables to take care of. Also, the singer/guitar player performing that night was ok, but wasn't on par with the level of talent we're accustomed to seeing at Puckett's and the other places around town. The sound was too loud, and all the songs the guy played, originals and covers, we're super fast and all pretty much sounded the same. The music only exacerbated what was a less than pleasant dining experience on this particular night. We love Puckett's and will definitely go back, but will probably stick to breakfast and lunch when the staff isn't so overwhelmed. It's possible our experience could be chalked-up as just a bad night, and would still recommend the restaurant to others.
Overall, great experience- fairly good food, good beer offerings, priced as expected, great service, great atmosphere- would recommend and come again.
We visited there on Sunday, Feb.23. We picked out this place because the menu looked good. We had a reservation at 4:45 and were seated promptly. Great start. Server was Josh but he said we could call him Jones because there were many Josh's there. The hubby's started out with beers and we ordered fried green tomatoes and fried pickles to start. Both were delicious and served fresh and hot. One person had a burger. It was very good but the sweet potato fries were not hot. Two of us ordered the recommended meat loaf. It was tasty but was barely lukewarm as were the mashed potatoes. The green beans were bland. They needed some bacon and seasoning. The corn cakes were cold. We asked for a new round which came out warmer but could've been warmer. My hubby ordered fried chicken and it started good but when he got into the drumstick, blood started to flow. Yuk. It literally was pooling near the bone. Jones apologized and offered to bring a new plate. Hubby decided to just send the drumstick back so Jones could show it to the chef. The explanation the chef sent back was that it was a vein that burst. If it was cooked properly, the vein wouldn't have burst it would have been cooked. We decided not to wait for the replacement of the chicken. Jones was very apologetic. It was not his fault. He provided excellent service. Overall the food was tasty but served barely lukewarm.
Great Food, Great Price, Live Music at 9pm, set a reservation then enjoy.
Great place! Nice atmosphere. Try the shrimp and grits!
Dinner before symphony concert. Easy walk to Schermerhorn. Good food & service.
Food took over 45 minutes for 8 people. Server didn’t check on us for almost 30 of those 45. Food was cold. We were seating in the area by the bathrooms (maybe 4 feet from the doors) so we heard toilets flushing. Not appetizing. Paid $300 for the experience. Not happy.
This was our second trip to Puckett’s, this time we brought our 8 and 10 year olds. Everything was great!
Had a group of 8, pleased to be able to get a table on short notice. For 5PM on a Monday, lots of folks dining early. Did not expect live music this early, but they had no background music at all. It was crowded but almost silent. Did not have a good vibe, could have used some tunes in the background.
Excellent food and service. We were there before the music started, so conversation levels a bit high, but expected in a casual pub & grub atmosphere. Look forward to returning during time when a band is playing. Food is definitely worth returning for! (And try the Puckett's Pepper Sauce - very nice.)
The ribs were tough. The Skillet mac n cheese tasted like the skillet. The veggies tasted like the refrigerator.
Ver disappointed .
Great service. Made reservation, arrived about 5 minutes prior to reservation. Was immediately seated. Food was delicious. Overall great experience.
The Springs were awesome, would love to see them there more regularly.
Valentine and wife’s birthday
Made a dinner reservation for 6pm Valentine’s night before a show at the Ryman. We were seated immediately, but it took forever to be greeted by our server (someone else finally came over & spoke to us) and longer to get our drinks. We’d put a note on our Open Table reservation asking not to be seated next to the coolers or the stage. We were seated right next to the stage. Additionally, we were seated right next to the front door. I can’t fault them for that, since we hadn’t requested not to be put there. What I can fault them for is this— the hydraulics on the door were broken & every single time the door shut, it SLAMMED so loud that we jumped. Every 2-3 minutes. The entire meal, our conversation was interrupted by the door slamming shut. By the end of the meal, we were laughing at what a ridiculous experience we’d had, thinking that we’d have a nice dinner together before the show. The service was slow, the food was mediocre & that noise was unbelievable. I’m from Nashville and grew up eating at Pucketts in Franklin... I know it can be a great meal. This was anything but. Next time we’re headed to a show, we’ll eat somewhere else.
Overall good place. Service was ok. Food average.
Food taste was great but our food was not warm when we received it.
