Family favorite for decades. Can't miss with the turkey dinner! Very diligent with food sensitivities with a very robust gluten-free menu and even gluten-free rolls. We always take home leftovers to make sure we save room for yummy desserts! We look forward to returning soon!
Tina, our waitress, was very efficient, prompt and pleasant. The turkey dinner here is always excellent.
I have never been here before and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and ambience. We had the house special turkey dinner - more moist and tender than any I have eaten. Wonderful bread basket.
Several large birthday groups made for lots of noise, and very busy wait staff. This is not the norm based on our previous visits. We will return.
Tasty NewEngland fare and excellent unobtrusive service
Very enjoyable meal. Our waiter Cameron was outstanding. He is very personable and remembered us from a visit at Christmas time. He even recalled my favorite wine. Checks back when he needs to without being intrusive.
The Publick House never fails to disappoint and the pre-Valentine day dinner was no exception. From the sticky buns served before dinner through the Valentine specials, an excellent wine list topped off with a perfect creme brulet made for a memorable evening with our friends. The evening continued to the next day with breakfast treats from Bake Shoppe.
We had reservations but arrived earlier than planned and we were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant!!! The food was hot and delicious, all around great experience!!!
So good we went 2 nights in a row!
We loved our birthday gathering here. The atmosphere was a lot of fun especially if you like old houses turned into restaurants, it is a beautiful building, our waitress was extra knowledgeable about the menu and was very pleasant. Everyone loved their meal. The reason I did not give 5 stars on food was because the green beans were very plain and the spaghetti squash was clumpy. But I would definitely go back and try another meal.
