Pub & Kitchen has a fun, young vibe. We had the calamari appetizer which was excellent as were the mains - the daily special burger and the homemade pasta. Dessert - Apple crumble was not so crumbly and bland. Service was great.
This is a cozy little pub. The atmosphere in the front room is lively but quiet enough to carry on a conversation. We were seated in the back room with a horse theme. We started with fried olives and deviled eggs which were both tasty. I had the mushroom pot pie which may have been a little better with some other veggies in the pie but, very tasty. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips. We had a great waiter and enjoyed the evening. I recommend this restaurant to all.
Great experience
Great burgers. Not a good brunch.
This was a birthday dinner for my adult son and girlfriend and we chose Pub & Kitchen as it was walking distance for them. We ordered a diverse selection of food and drink and everyone in the party was very satisfied. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be dining here again
We hadn't been to Pub & Kitchen in a while, I can't remember why we stopped going on a regular basis. The menu choices were fantastic, I think I could come back five days a week and order something different every night. The chicken breast was excellent, as was the burger and the pasta special. Nice choice of wine by the glass. Service was excellent. Pub & Kitchen is back on our heavy rotation.
The staff is always attentive to my sons. This place is child-friendly, but also fun for adults. It is strange to think that Chaucer’s used to be there.
We went to P & K after a week from hell. We really needed a fun night out. Have been to P & K many times as we live in the neighborhood. It NEVER disappoints. We were seated right away (party of 6), server was super attentive the entire night but not in an annoying way. Food was awesome. The menu runs the gamut, we had oysters, great salads, beet humus, fish and chips, and an amazing "smash burger". Every item was really great. They have an awesome beer list that changes often, so its always great to try new beers that you wouldn't otherwise. Highly recommend P &K. Cant wait to go back again!
Solid meal and good service, but the food skewed more toward average and the prices were on the high side. The tables aren't too comfortable.
Lovely cozy pub like restaurant. Great service. It was restaurant week and they gave you a ton of food! I got 4 meals out of my chicken. I would go back to sample the menu. Parking was difficult.
What a great experience we had at pub & kitchen! The food was wonderful and the service was even better. One member of our party was in a wheelchair and the manager was so accommodating and so helpful in getting us situated at our table. We will definitely be back!!
The service was great! My waitress was very attentive. The food, however, left a lot to be desired. My friend barely touched his sandwich, and I couldn't finish my brownie because it was too bitter.
Great food, the bar is busy but not too crowded and the music station they play in the bar is so fun. P&K has a quaint look with a great vibe of happy people being served by happy people all having fun.
Went for brunch after my birthday. Happened to be restaurant week. Great deal! I ordered the shrimp and grits which I did not love. The egg was a bit boring and I wished the shrimp was a bit more cooked. The grits were great. The sweet potato cake was delicious.
We had a really amazing meal! The Brussel sprouts were the best and so was the beet salad! My husband and son both got the chicken sandwich that our waitress Eden recommended and she did not steer them wrong! They loved it! I had the squash lasagna which was also amazing!! Everything was very good! It was our first time there and We will be back!
Great service, delicious cocktails and a tasty burger
We had a delicious meal! Service was great! Definitely will be back!
We love going here and have celebrated many special occasions/life events here. Always have Ned who is awesome!! Love this place, holds a lot of great memories and ALWAYS delivers in great food and excellent service!
Excellent all the way around; ambience, food and service. We had oysters on half shell and calamari to start; both very tasty. For dinner, had burger, chicken sandwich, pasta and salad. All very good.
PK never disappoints, our favorite neighborhood spot. Some nice menu changes, everything was good. Outstanding service.
Knocks it out of the park again + again! Thanks for a great night, delicious food + drinks, + stellar service. A ++
Great food, great service, and comfortable atmosphere
I felt that the food has changed in the last little whole. Burgers are different, fries different and the presentation is not as fun
I was very happy with our dinner here. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and bar is a nice place to grab a drink and wait for your table. Food was tasty, reasonably priced, and fun ambiance. Wished they had a few more gluten-free hot dish options. Staff were very attentive. Fun, lively atmosphere overall. Would go again.
Brunch was terrific. Especially the potatoes and bacon that came with my poached eggs. Service was a touch slow but worth waiting for!
Good food. Service was a bit slow.
Although we were seated in a small room with almost nobody else, it did fill up and so the noise level increased to well beyond the "energetic level" that opentable presents instead of "loud". Too many people crowded into spaces with hard, reflective surfaces. My SPL meter showed around 90+ dB.
The food was very good; the service was also. I recommend the ale from West Sussex which is on tap here (Old speckled hen).
Great burger!!!
This appears to be a neighborhood pub and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But it is not a date night option. It's more for the "Cheers" crowd. The noise level is horrific, babies are crying, the TV is blaring, the A/C in the back room is too high. The food is good, nothing fancy. The service is friendly, but the waitress has too many tables.
Great and understanding service by very helpful staff!
I don’t know...used to be better, I think? Needs to be updated and improved. They should be a neighborhood staple but have fallen off big time.
We arrived at 11:30 for brunch, restaurant was not even half full, we waited for over an hour and 15 mins with not even the first course served. And the first course was nothing cooked (salad and breakfast cake). No one refilled our coffee. After asking to speak with the server and then manager, NO ONE apologized. They said they had many food tickets to fill. Isn’t that running a restaurant?? The salad came as lettuce and radishes only when the menu included avocado, sunflower seeds, etc. Again no apology from server and 10 mins later she hastily plopped a new salad dish on the table. As of 1 hour and 45 mins we still did not have our second course and 2 people in our party of 5 had not ordered a course so everyone was starving. We asked for the check to just pay for what we had eaten and they brought the full check for the entire 2nd course and desserts despite us never having received it. I have lived in Philadelphia for 26 years, eat out weekly and have never witnessed anything like this.
When we arrived at the restaurant, our server did not immediately greet us and when she came to our table did not introduce herself or tell us anything about the restaurant. We had to specifically ask her to describe certain meals. Our drinks were almost never refilled, we had coffee and our cups were continuously empty, despite seeing five people on staff. Also, the door to the outside was left open, so at one point there were four flies circling our table which was extremely gross. In total we were at the restaurant for two hours, and waited an average of 30-40 minutes between each course. If this was intentional, the server should have told us, but we were discontent the entire time.
We really enjoyed the food and the experience. The noise level did get quite high but it looks like they have a quieter space in the back. We will ask for that next time!
The menu has gotten a little "smaller", but the what was on offer was interesting and the food was great - have always loved this place
Very good brunch; nice cocktails.
Grilled zucchini bread was a great starter
Bad food. The service was slow but the staff was so nice and apologized! But honestly nothing makes up for food that doesn’t taste good. Esp when its $24+ per entree. Skip this place unless you just want a drink!
We hadn't been to Pub & Kitchen in quite a while and were delighted to find the menu updated and the food - outstanding. In addition - with new updates to decor, a good atmosphere too!
I imagine we will be returning very often from now on!
The drinks we’re delicious. The fries and burger were good. The “heirloom tomato salad” was disgusting. Sliced tomatoes soaked in ranch with croutons on top. Gross.
Had a great time sitting outside with a friend. Great food, excellent drinks, nice waitress.
