The food was fine but it wasn’t particularly great and certainly not worth the price. I love other Michael Mina places and used to think he could do no wrong. But this was a bit disappointing.
Every time we are in Vegas we make a point to go to PUB 1842. I give four stars because the menu isn't extremely varied, but I only go there for one thing: The PB Crunch Burger. It is a good sized burger (I can barely finish half) topped with peanut butter, bacon jam, pimento cheese, and potato chips. It is an amazing salty and slightly sweet combination with great texture from the crunchy peanut butter and crispy potato chips. I find myself craving this burger even when I'm not in Vegas. Do yourself a favor and try it even if you are unsure. If you like burgers and peanut butter separately, I would be shocked if you didn't like this burger.
PUB 1842 also has TVs so you can watch all of the games you're betting on while drinking one of the 30+ beers on tap.
Was upset there was no brunch. But food was good.
prices are a lot bigher than last year and the food quality is average (too much seasoning on fries)
Decent food for a good Vegas price
We have dined here many times. The food is always good and the casual atmosphere is enjoyable. We ordered the 1/2 order of Nachos (which are amazing) and the 1842 Burger which was also very good. We will be back!
Meal and service were excellent overall. However, bringing a platter with raw steaks to the table for description by the wait staff is straight from the 1990's and should be abandoned.
Food wasn't as good as I expected. Pulled pork not saucy enough. Chicken sandwich, the breaded broke away from chicken to easilly..lettuce on chicken sandwich, wilty.
I just expected more.
On I side note, did like the fried pickles!!
Pub 1842 was discovered by a group of us a few years ago during the Halloween Phish concerts at the MGM Grand. We quickly discovered the great beer offerings and the creative delicious food. When meeting friends at the Strip this is our go to place. I brought home my extra chopped salad and I'm still enjoying it!
Our ribs tasted old. Others at table had same dinner but theirs was good.
When we arrived, the Pub was closed. I received no update or call from the restaurant to inform me that they would be closed- even got a reminder email the day before! I would expect more from a Michael Minna restaurant. This will definitely make me think twice about visiting or recommending Michael Minna properties in the future.
The service was great, and I loved the flight of beers option. Was able to try a variety of locally crafted beers.
We arrived and we're promptly seated, despite being a bit early. Our server stayed on top of things while giving us the slow pacing we wanted and asked for.
The food was the star. The calamari starter was great. We had 2 different burgers and the pulled pork sandwich. All were wonderful. Each came with fries, which were thin and crispy. So good. The Mac N Cheese side was guilding the lillie (Too much food.) Maybe that's why I didn't think it was that great.
The tap list was excellent and pours of an imperial pint. Yes, larger than a US pint.
Well worth a visit for excellent beers and upscale pub food.
We went there for the first time this last trip and had the fish and chips and a big juicy cheeseburger. Both were very delicious and not too pricey.
Great service too. We're definitely keeping it in the rotation.
You gotta have the beer cheese pretzel dip with the poached egg! Excellent.
I have eaten here several times and I enjoy it every time. The nachos are amazing and a large portion (even the smaller size). The burgers are huge. This is a great casual bar restaurant!
We had a 12:30 reservation for a business lunch during a 90 minute break at the MGM convention center. We arrived a few minutes early and we were seated at 12:35. Our drink order was taken after a bout 5 mins later and served about 5 mins after that. We placed our lunch orders when the drinks were delivered (so assume 12:45)--2 burgers off the menu without changes--1 medium rare, 1 medium with the BBQ fries that come with them. Lunch was delivered to the table 40 mins later. The fries were NOT hot. The burgers were good, but we were so short on time, that we did not get to savor the flavor of them. The large party of 10 who were seated just after us and got their meals as we were leaving at 1:45 (nearly 1 hour after being seated).
Moral of the story. Don't try to have lunch here on a break from the MGM convention center UNLESS you have a 2 hour slot or don't mind going back to your meeting late. They are simply NOT staffed up to handle a large lunch crowd that arrives in a concentrated time frame.
The drumstiks has no flavor and my burger have too much pepper, if you like pepper this is your restaurant. But if you are alergic to pepper run for your life.
Waited at least 50 min for any food. We were getting up to leave as it arrived. Food was good but do not go this restaurant if you have any other plans or a show as you could be here for hours.
My husband and I were in Vegas celebrating our 33rd anniversary. We stayed at the MGM and came to Pub 1842 because I had read such great reviews online. Boy, were the reviews RIGHT! We enjoyed our dinner so much that we came back the next day for lunch. The pretzels were absolutely incredible and the freshly ground beef made the burgers some of the best we have ever had. When we come back to Vegas you can be assured we will be back!
Always eat here when come to Vegas. Such amazing food and service every time. So many beer selections also
Well service was excellent our server was well versed in the menu and recommendations were right on.
We always come for the nachos. This time we also got a specialty burger and split it. It was so huge and delicious I couldn't finish my half! A must try restaurant in Vegas.
Second time to this location; same as the last time was "just OK". The outstanding item was the mac and cheese. Burger was, again, just OK. Two of the four of us had fish and chips. Chips were outstanding; the fish was dry/overcooked in both orders. Beer selection is phenomenal. It's a decent spot to grab a bite, but there are better options. It is convenient as it is right inside MGM if staying there.
we ate here because my wife has several food allergies and they said they could accommodate her no problem. that they did. the manager, rachel, came over and said their motto is "yes we can" and they would let her make her own dish if necessary. the chef just wanted her to eat a meal safely. my wife was thrilled.
We went here for my husbands birthday and oh my goodness I fell in love. Everything is AMAZING the burgers, nachos, fries it's all phenomenal. This is definitely our regular burger spot now.
Good choice for a pre-concert meal. Right near MGM grand arena.
Good bar / pub food choices. Nice selection of beers.
Would return if seeing another show, otherwise there are better choices.
I enjoyed it. The food is the stuff your doctor tells you not to eat. The french fries are really exceptional. Very friendly and good service.
Pretty damn good burger which is what we came here for.
Food was INCREDIBLE -- when we finally got it. Had a reservation. Arrived prior to reserved time. Seated promptly. Waitress attentive (at first) and took our food & drink orders. Then we waited 55 minutes for our food. (Yet there were empty tables all around.) Patiently, we waited. After almost an hour we had to ask what was going on. I asked to speak to a manager. Had to ask for a to-go box when food finally arrived, as we had time constraints. Staff was snarky & not upfront about the situation. Tried to collect full bill, which I said we would not be paying until we heard from the manager... who kept us waiting an additional 20+ minutes. In the end, our bill was discounted and the food was amazing. But I wouldn't go there if timing may be an issue for your party.
Please don't pour chilled wine into a hot bar glass
Got sat at 9:00. Was reminded multiple times that they were "closing" at 10:00. Would've gone elsewhere if we knew it was an inconvenience. Great food though! Cooked perfectly as requested. Just rushed 😢
This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Vegas! The marinated vegetables and hummus are the most delicious vegetables I have ever eaten in my life and the falafel is phenomenal!
Burger was delicious and very juicy. Surprise star of the show was the Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese on Rye. Very tasty! Lots of beer choices. Near the far back of the MGM which was unpleasantly crowded. Long walk.
Great food and great service! I had the BBQ chicken sandwich... It was huge and really good (and messy)! My husband had the brisket and said it was very good. My sister had their signature burger and loved it--that was also huge! Fries were also really good! Will definitely go back next time we are in Vegas.
Unfortunately, the food was just okay. The location was convenient, but several items were close to inedible. The cocktails were well-made, and we had a great server, which made all the difference.
It's a pub and that is how it should be approached, except the food is pub fare with a flair. Our only complaint was that one of the two pieces of the fish and chips was too heavily battered. That made it doughy inside and greasy outside. The fish was really good, though. There is also a Korean barbecue salmon sandwich that is simply fabulous. The beer choices are quite good as well, but not huge.
The food was tasty. Burgers came with lots of fries. Fun atmosphere.
