Pub 17 on Welton Street Ratings and Reviews
The best breakfast buffet in Denver at a reasonable price! I loved the hot omelet station and the fresh berries bowl for breakfast but also the variety of granola, cereal, dried fruit and juices. There was a abundance of food and service was great!! Wait staff kept refilling bowls and baskets and you never had to wait for any of the good stuff to come out. I stayed in another hotel for work but walked a few blocks for breakfast here! Yummy!!
Went for dinner NYE. Good: nice hostess. Bad: had tables with one chair, or one set of silverware, very understaffed, we had to ask the waiter for menus after 30 min, then had to ask for silverware when our food came, then just split our checks without asking. Won't go back.
Our server Matt was amazing; he engaged in everyday talk and made sure we were comfortable and well taken-care of. He kept us informed of when the food was coming, made sure our drinks were always filled, and ask how everything was when we were finished. Perfect, friendly service.
I was disappointed in our lunch. The service was not great. I don't know if there were too many tables and not enough servers, but regardless expected better. We ordered off the menu. I needed condiments for my hamburger. It took several minutes before I saw her again and reminded her. Meanwhile, my hamburger went from hot to lukewarm. Would not recommend for a business lunch. Expected better.
This is a nice place for any kind of business meal or any kind of event - the area is big, quiet and comfortable. While my breakfast wasn't great, it was ok, all other meals I had at this restaurant were very good. I had the tofu and vegetable breakfast - nice size portion, vegetables and tofu were steamed well but lacked taste; the dish could have used some seasoning to bring flavor to the tofu. Our server, Josh, was very attentive and extremely nice. Had other meals at the restaurant - lunch, appetizers and drinks - overall they were excellent, as well as the service. The restaurant host, manager, and our server Josh accommodated a large group of us from the conference at the last minute for cocktails - their service still remained great throughout! Very customer service oriented.
If you are at an event at the convention center and want to get away but not fight the lunch crowd on 16th, this is an option. I don't typically like to go to places associated with a hotel but this one has some nice features! Local wines, spirits and beers. The menu is a little limited - but we did not have to fight a crowd and there are some fun things on the menu.
Drove to the restaurant and looked VERY bright on the outside. We were 20 minutes early so decided to cancel the res. did it through the email that comes from this app but it did not accept then change and forced me to keep the res. have no other reviews about the restaurant other than the outside first impression.
Christmas Day dinner was a bust at Pub 17.... waitress and manager were friendly and helpful, but there were some major kitchen issues. Food came out for half the table 10-15 minutes before the rest and fish sandwich was very undercooked. By that time, we did not want to hang around for more food to be prepared.
At first, my companion and I sat at a booth (looked old, by the way), but the seats sank down too low. So, we asked to move to one of the high top tables near the bar. The seats at this table also sank down lower than normal, but we stayed anyway. The server was very good, but the food was mediocre.
I must say the food was absolutely outstanding. Pork Belly street tacos are amazing. If you're looking for ambiaence, romance or big social scene, this isn't your place. The crowd are largely hotel business guests hanging out at the bar. The atmosphere is very much like a hotel restaraunt and we almost left as a result. But we were rewarded by the great food. I still can't get over how good this was for a hotel restaraunt.
