The service and the food was amazing! Will definitely come again
This small place had
Great staff and service. It really makes the place. The food is delicious.
Fresh seafood selection with so much flavor! Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back again.
The food was great and the service even better. I called to add another person and they accomodated me easily. The table was ready when we got there and the ambiance was nice. Oysters are definitely a try!
I was very pleased and satisfied with this place. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection 😍
Although a good Greek restaurant is to be expected in Astoria or LIC, this to me was a rather great surprise. The food was exceedingly fresh and tasty with a variety of choices for every person of our party. In addition, the waiters made the experience so friendly and memorable I felt as though we were dining in a tiny family owned taverna of some distant Greek island. I came back and see myself coming again and again for the warmth and tastiness of the place. Highly recommend for any party.
A hidden gem! Their food is impeccable and the atmosphere and staff and wonderful!
Very tasty food & very friendly staff
This is much more than the average Queens Greek seafood restaurant. I would describe it as a neighborhood restaurant with high overtones of sophistication, warmth, great food and ambiance. The wait staff, the owner, the hostess were all above and beyond friendly and warm and accommodating.
My friend and I each had a glass of wine and he has clams while I had deliciously sweet Canadian oysters. Yum, yum. Then we shared a salad, a grilled Branzino, lemon potatoes and a coffee. It was delicious.
There was a couple at the next table who were staying in the area because their son was playing at the US Open. Other people were friendly also.
Of course, if you don't want to chat with strangers, you don't have to do so, but after a little wine, and great food, everyone is friendly.
I forgot to mention that we sat outside, end of August, and it was delightful. I suspect the winter may become a big loud inside, but then, that's restaurants today.
Really fresh seafood! Everything was delicious and our waitress great!
Would definitely come back again.
Didn't have one of their regular menu items (sea bass) so we had to choose a different item. (Didn't mention they were out until after I ordered it. )Then when we chose a different item, the waitress left and later came back and said the price for the item we ordered is more expensive than what the menu said it would be. Kinda annoyed since last time I was here I did not have any of these problems. But wasn't going to make a scene during the date so I just paid it. Food was alright this time around. Definitely better the first time I had it.
Was expecting a quiet dinner but there was a group of women that were very loud right next to our table. Moving was not an option, the place is narrow and the sound carries. The greek salad was very good, the medium size is shareable. My broiled filet of sole was cooked well, but lacked flavor.
Excellent all the way around!! Best seafood you can have.
All the dishes we ate were delicious and the service was amazing!
Enjoy it every time my family gets together there for special occasions or just a lunch or dinner. Although we have been fans of Bahari for many, many years we love coming to Psari for a little more diverse menu of foods and wines as well as for real desserts! The atmosphere can be more pleasant with less noise and screaming children but overall we love to go back to a delightfully attentive staff and great food!
Food is absolutely delicious
Psari is a typical neighborhood Greek food establishment. It was formerly known as The Greek Captain. The service was quite good but the food was just OK.
Food was amazing! But service could be better- waited 30 minutes for water , had to ask for bread, and also took 20 minutes for them to take my flowers and place them in water. Waitress was sweet, she tried but there is a lot of room for improvement.
Just only one open laye
The raw oysters were amazing! The service was very friendly and attentive. Great for lunch with its lunch specials.
Food was awesome. Cute spot to stop and grab a bite.
Loved the place , the food was super .
This is my favorite restaurant. I have been coming here for such a long time. The food quality is amazing everything taste delicious. I look forward to coming here all the time.
Did not have my reservation in their system but told me not to worry-the place had plenty of seating. Had to ask for bread three times. Waitress was nice but it really is tasty seafood. Just had to ask three times for bread. It's a small place but good Greek seafood.
Went here on a Friday evening for dinner. What I loved about the place was how friendly and warm the employees were. For that alone I would love to come back!
Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. List below.
1/2 Dozen Blue Point Oysters: Great! Presentation was lovely.
Greek Salad: Ordered without lettuce ($3 upcharge?) and the feta was lovely. Quite large for the small portion I ordered.
Crab Cakes: Not as crispy as I would have liked, and was mushy. Perhaps more time cooking would be best.
Lobster Tails: Completely overcooked. Side of butter couldn't make this better. I was hungry, so I ate it, but I was so disappointed.
Broiled platter: Presentation was hideous, but it wasn't bad I guess.
Side of veggies: Looked like the frozen bag you got at the supermarket.
The staff are very nice. They try to make everything as best as possible for you. The manager offered to get us a better table once it was available. Some of the seafood is fresh so we had some sand in our mussels. The waitress offered to get us a new plate. However once they brought us new mussels the taste was a bit watered down. We didn't end up eating it but they did take it off our bill. The manager was always there and asked how things were as did the waitress. The manager also offered drinks on the house. I would not mind going here to have some lunch or dinner with friends but not on a special occasion.
Food was great. When we got to the resturant & I told them I had a reservation they never asked what name the reservation was under It was pretty obvious that they had not reserved a table for my reservation.
This was a wonderful place to go for dinner. The food was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations for appetizers, main course, and dessert.
I had a Group on for two lobsters, but my hubby and I partook in since other delicious options. Everything was delicious! Definitely try the baked clams and end your meal with the black & white mousse cake.
