Mixed Seafood Soup
Served Wed & Fri Only
Absolutely love the service I receive every time I dine here !
I go there at least twice a year except in 2020 for obvious reason. The food is always great, I usually go with my friend and we typically order 4 to 6 dinners to share between the both of us and that’s not including appetizers. The food is so good we can’t decide on one, so we get a few.
Good outdoor accommodations for Covid dining. The mezes we ordered were of mixed quality. The zucchini fritters were tasty but too dense. The spanakopita was flavorful but too oily. The saganaki was not tasty and was very oily. The grilled veggies were delightful
Food was delicious and the server was great!
I was in the mood for some seafood on a hot 90s weather day and decided to try this place based on the reviews.
Our overall experience was just okay. The service was good, but meh on food.
We started off with a dozen raw clams and an order of shrimp cocktails, shrimps weren’t that fresh. The grilled calamari is tender but lack flavor. Saganaki came out on a hot cast iron pan with a little fire show which was pretty good. For entree I had the fish sandwich (not bad) and my husband had the pork souvlaki platter which was quite a disappointment. The pork was dry and he didn’t finished it.
Delicious food and wine at very reasonable prices.
Food was amazing. Oysters A++++. Service outstanding. Not wheel chair accessible, but they went beyond in accommodating me. Downside the bathroom is downstairs and luckily, the rehab center had taught me how to maneuver steps the week before.
Will go again, without wheelchair, but with a cane. Even the diners already seated were nice.
Food was delicious!
Food was very good. Service not so good. Waitress was in Lala land. On the phone entire time. Oh well.
The staff was very attentive the food was very good.
I love this place. The seafood and great specialties are amazing.
Great authentic Greek food in a comfortable setting
My wife and I thought the food was very good. Our service was very attentive. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.
Very good food and service as usual. The shrimp and scallops with pasta was great.
Seafood was fresh and tasty especially the snapper oysters and Octopus
An incomparable experience. The people are truly friendly, the ambience is pure neighborhood comfort, and the food was simply perfection, so fresh and prepared with care. I had the grilled halibut, my wife the sautéed scallops, both with lemon potatoes. All sublime - honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever had. It’s a 10 minute walk to the Museum of Moving Image. Can’t say enough about Psari.
My parents and I came in to dinner last Sunday. The food was good, but we were shocked at the final price and honestly felt cheated. I tried to order the octopus appetizer as my main but server said I should get the entree instead ‘because it comes with potatoes’. I said ok, figuring it would be a few dollars extra, not double the price. Most of the time the servers were sitting at the bar tables ignoring us. I just felt gouged when I left, like it wasn’t worth the $200 price tag. Maybe we ordered the wrong things.
Great! They made us feel welcome at a seat that was comfortable and service was accommodating with our drinks and fast arriving food! ALL DELICIOUS. Will definitely be returning... we live in BK but love this LIC restaurant!!
Love the crab legs here
One of the best restaurant in my neighbor.
Good food, atmosphere, and staffs;)
We had a nice meal but it took forever to get drinks and water. Our waitress was the owner's niece and extremely friendly but compared to the rest of Astoria where one can find comparable food, it was very expensive. For my money Agnanti is the place to go!
Good food as usual. Service was very good.
Nothing special, salmon was good, red snapper had no flavor.
The food was amazing!!! Cannot stress how delicious their seafood is! Clean and cozy restaurant. Wait staff incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Absolutely coming back again! Food was amazing and the menu is very large! I had the broiled shrimp and it was some of the best I have ever had. Restaurant was a little noisy, but the service was friendly and we had a great time.
The shrimp was so good and I enjoyed the crab cakes, the have very very good salad, did not care for the grilled Zucchini and Eggplant Platter it was very small and had no taste they have some wonderful Lemon potatoes, my boy friend loved his broiled Bronzino also enjoyed his Tartufo we will go back again.
Not sure I'll go back. Only 5 tables to serve and having to ask for water 3 times is so annoying. Food took a while. The broiled shrimp and salmon were dry however the flounder and scallops were cooked to perfection. That's basically how it went with everyone's dish..it was 1/2 good.
We will definitely be back the next time we are anywhere near Astoria. The grilled octopus and calamari were the best we have ever had. You don't always see Saganaki or Smelts so the menu had alot of variety. The dips with pita were so delicious. We filled up on so much Meze that we did not have much room left for dinner.
I normally don't write reviews but my husband's Father's Day dinner was kinda ruined by bad service.
The wait was longer than expected considering we had a reservation but the place is smaller than I expected. This didn't bother me all that much but I wouldn't recommend it for large parties. For reference, we were 4 adults and a baby and waited 25 minutes to be seated.
Our server, Xenia was friendly but inattentive. She took our order but
didn't really check up on us. When she did, she didn't bring us what we asked. For example, we asked her for refills on water 3 times and she never brought it to us. We had to ask 3 other busboys before we got any water. It seems like an insignificant reason to complain, but it shouldn't take 20 minutes to get refills. I and two other members in my party have worked as servers, we know that providing refills doesn't take long. It's even easier when you have food runners.
My husband also didn't receive one of his food orders and was charged for it. When we told our server that we never received it, she told us that she thought someone had given it to us. There didn't seem to be very good communication between the server and busboys. It was very busy but considering how small it is, service should have been more attentive. Overall, I got the sense that the server didn't provide good service because gratuity was automatically included.
On the plus side, the food was delicious. I would definitely go back but I wouldn't want Xenia as my server.
Fun place, good food and wonderful service
You can find other better Greek restaurants in the town.
Great food! Locals spot
Excellent, we always go back
Ottimo ristorante, ho mangiato molto bene. il personale è cortese e molto attento alle esigenze del cliente.
Fresh food in small intimate setting. Nice for a date or small family gathering!
Fresh fish and excellent service. Definitely recommend to others.
Lovely Greek restaurant near Frank Sinatra HS. The pros: The dip combo appetizer was delicious as well as the broiled fish combo and stuffed filet. Loved the garlic bread basket and red sangria. The cons: our server charged an extra $1 when we asked for more pita and mistakenly charged us for two sodas. Always good to check your bill.
The food was delicious and our waitress was so nice about my food allergies!
Amazing server , fresh seafoods , well accomodate and flexible with our request . Totally enjoy !
