Food was great. Servers were grumpy! Not very interested in serving our table even though it wasn’t very busy.
Extremely pleased with our experience dining here. Vera was our waitress and did an excellent job recommending favorites and providing memorable service! The food exceeded our expectations; SO GOOD!! Highly recommend for both brunch and dinner, we will certainly return.
We loved the steak and our server was just lovely.
The service was quick and cheerful. The food was relatively unexceptional. Small plate items were tasty. Large plate not so much.
Cocktails - Gingin punch and bartender's choice.
We split the grilled Little Gem salad, John had the Hangar Steak & I had a lovely cod special with Asian flavors.
And we split the chocolate cake special for dessert. I hope they put it on the menu permanently- would go there just for the cake.
Altogether, wonderful food, gorgeous presentation, friendly helpful service - will definitely be back!
Not even kidding, the best food I have ever eaten. I even used to work at a 5 star restaurant as a dish-washer, so I've eaten a lot of good stuff.
This was just leagues beyond anything else.
Vegans and vegetarians beware. While Provisions' on-line menu shows lots of vegetarian/vegan options, that has not been our experience on two occasions. The first was New Years Eve. I must have noted on my Open Table reservation that my wife is vegan, because Provisions called to tell us that they would be offering a special menu that night, and they would be offering nothing suitable for vegans. So we cancelled that reservation and tried again for Valentines Day, only to discover that once again there was a special menu. Brussel sprouts, offered as an appetizer, was the only vegan offering. Before getting up and going elsewhere for dinner, we asked our waitress if the chef could prepare anything vegan, and she came back to tell us that he could make the seafood chowder vegan by leaving out the seafood and adding more vegetables. So that's what she ordered, and it was fine, although paying $28 (the menu price for the seafood chowder) seemed rather extreme for a bowl of vegetable soup. Fortunately, our waitress comped us a plate of toast.
Love this place. Delicious and never disappoints.
The food and service were amazing. Our server, Seth, was awesome!
Been before so this was another "decent" experience. Server was solid...attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. Food was good; two of our party chose the chicken - bland. Seafood chowder was excellent, and hanger steak was good/very good. Tweaked the pricing for Valentines Day $5/main...because they could.
The food was great and the was good. The pork ribs are really good with new taste for BBQ ribs.
We have dined and enjoyed Provisions several times, most recently over the past weekend. The staff was very accommodating in spite of our relatively large party of 12.
The cauliflower and pork bun appetizers were outstanding, as were the large plate entrées.
We were fortunate enough to be placed in a room off to the side which allowed us to have conversation across a long table. The main portion of the restaurant was fairly noisy.
We shared several desserts, all of which were excellent.
The food is reliably good, the atmosphere is excellent and the wait staff were terrific.
Delicious food! Excellent variety of flavors and options. Tasted 8 different menu items and wasn’t the least bit disappointed in a single thing. Will absolutely be coming Again.
This was, by far, the loveliest dining experience I have had in a while! Our server (I wish so badly I could remember his name) was absolutely fantastic. He checked in regularly with us but was not overbearing and made excellent recommendations. Thank you! We will be back soon!
One of our favorite places! A fresh menu that changes with what is in season. Exquisite food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices for the quality of food that arrives at your table.
Great date night with lovely plates, attentive service, and good ambiance. Could use a few more vegetarian options, but yummy desserts made up for it :)
We've been to provisions at least two or three times before and each time we have had an incredibly lengthy meal. I'm unsure if this was purposeful, but most of the meals were at least two and a half hours. We just recently attended provisions for romantic and lengthy dinner out and had the server cram seven small plates on our table within 30 minutes. It was absolutely absurd. This was after specifically requesting to space out all the dishes. She said she wanted to know ahead of time to put the second course in, so as we were working on the final of the small plates we ordered our second course assuming it would be a good 20 to 30 minutes before that was plated. Unfortunately, the pasta arrived before we had finished our final small plate. This was an early evening on a week night and the restaurant was certainly not full, so it's not as though they were trying to get us out to get more people in. The food was good. Loved the steak tartare, the cauliflower was bleh. The server, aside from her unwillingness to space out the food, was attentive and kind.
Great eclectic dishes with excellent presentation. Try the brussels sprouts!
Fabulous food and service
love the seasonal menus and how the chefs utilize local ingredients. everything is very fresh and tasty. this place has great ambiance and keeps me coming back. our waiter seemed distracted and wasn’t very attentive but the other staff was helpful. the blueberry lemon pancake has the best flavor and fluffiest texture but the last two times i’ve ordered it the center has been raw which is a bummer but the edges make it worth it. the brussels sprout dish has sauce that i dream about - so good! tried the egg breakfast sandwich with pork belly - would definitely order it again.
This was our first time at Provisions and we will definitely be back. Fun cocktails and exceptional food.
Had a fabulous first experience at Provisions! Tried a couple of their small plates - sushi, grilled salad, and coconut shrimp and we each had an entree - steak and chicken and split a dessert - apple crisp. Everything we had was amazing and had unique flavors. We will definitely be back!
Great as always! We had such a good date night at Provisions. Parking in their lot is tight for those of us who drive larger vehicles, but a lot of parking is available across the street.
Food was well prepared and presented with some very unique and flavorful combinations.
Very impressed with our meal. Everything was delicious!
Great service and food that never disappoints! Steak and eggs were perfect!
I rarely getting a heartburn, but this was the case of one. The dumpling I ordered were swimming in low quality oil. Actually dumpling implies that there is stuffing involved. There is a term gnocchi for what had been served.
I would recommend this place for the enemy and only for a mortal one.
Great food, great service, great amience. Would recommend.
Food was amazing... Loved the Ribs, Hamachi, truly everything was delicious. Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgable.
Tasty food. Excellent service. We’ll go again for sure!
Mom in town for a visit
Great place to catch up with an out of town friend.
Service was super super slow. Just took a long while for food to come out, and all we got was an apology. The dessert maybe took 20+ minutes after ordering.
Provisions excellent job on providing all around experience. From the friendly wait staff to the fresh ingredient delicious food. We went on a quiet night, and was great to be able to hear the person you are with and not feel rushed for dining. My only not great experience was the cocktails, I thought they were ok not great. This is my go to place for SLC eats.
Went for a birthday celebration with a friend. We had 3 tapas and one meal with a dessert. My favorite was the meatballs, the friend's was the gnocchi meal. It was quiet and nice on Sunday night. Delightful waiter.
Wish they had more vegetarian options.
This was the best brunch. Even just the standard breakfast was cooked with care. There were 4 of us and everyone loved what they ordered.
I had brunch here a few months ago and that was amazing. I think I had something different and didn't like my dish as much, but it was still good. It got really hot in the restaurant and once it filled up was so loud I couldn't hear my friends and we were only a party of three.
Great food, great service. We went for Saturday brunch with a party of seven and there was something for everyone! The food was more than expected!
Lovely Friday night!
My favorite restaurant in SLC. Never disappoints!
The foie gras was outstanding as well as the Black Cod.
Loved the curry ice cream- not sweet but deliciously creamy!
I had the Branzino. The menu lists chili jam, coconut cream, butternut squash, sautéed greens, fresh herbs and lime. I imagined the fish to come with the jam and cream on top of the fish with sides of roasted or puréed squash and sautéed greens. Instead the fish came with each of those ingredients in a separate pile on the plate. The squash was a pile of cold (raw?) shavings. The greens were 4 pieces of raw butter lettuce. Not at all what I imagined. And it came with plain white, flavorless rice. I ended up making fish tacos with the ingredients and it was tasty, but not at all as advertised and it seems the chef was unimaginative.
