Our first time there. Food was scrumptious as a little surprising. Flavors were bolder than many Utah restaurants. Loved it!
Yay! Gluten free pancakes. So good! Great menu and drinks.
Easter brunch. Would have been nice to include some specials for Easter brunch. Otherwise it was perfect.
The food was ok, I liked the menu choices. That being said, the service was very poor. Maybe it would be better if a smaller group (we had nine, which seemed to cause angst for the server) for the two-tops were attended much better. Everything was slow, and after the food was dropped off, no sign of the waiter until the bill. We had someone join late who we ordered for and though he got his food (delivered with every one else's) no one came to give him silverware, water or come for a drink order. We did get any glasses refilled until the very end. The room was really hot and we could have used the extra water. I do not recommend this place.
Horrible service! Came to the table once at the end of the meal when all eggs were over easy and all came over hard; also no refills on beverages
The food was delicious. It seems that the chef, Tyler Stokes, tries to find new ways to combine flavors. My wife ordered the avocado toast and it came topped with sunflower and sesame seeds. I got the provisions breakfast, eggs bacon potatoes; simple and delicious. The server and bus girl kept our water glasses above half full our whole meal. It's a cool neighborhood restaurant. Can't wait to go back.
Great brunch as always, Spicey Chicken sandwich always great and the burger is something we order every brunch. The Cure cocktail, a savory brunch cocktail very good as well.
Excellent. They were a bit short on wait staff but that just impacted us a bit with slower, tu still very good, service.
We all agreed that the food and service was the best ever!!
Provisions is one of our favorite go-to places in the hood. Good food that has a foodie spin. Friendly staff, always.
Food and service is very good here. Some minor items, no salt and pepper on table, coffee not super hot so it cools quickly. We were in a semi-private room with a brick floor so the chairs wobble a bit.
Overall, our dining experience at Provisions was very positive. Management and wait staff were polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. The young hostess could use a bit more training with communication skills, but the others we dealt with were consummate professionals. The building itself was charming. Now that it's spring, I hope they add some live plants and/or flowers. I highly recommend the delicious duck rolls as an appetizer. The sauce with it, however, was a bit too salty and bland for me. A chili sauce would have added a nice zip. I ordered the whole sea bass, which was beautifully cooked and seasoned. I just wish it had been larger. The attached head doesn't count! I also would have liked the option of brown or wild rice instead of the bland white rice. I did appreciate the dollop of sauce which accompanied the fish. My dining companion ordered the pork chop special. It was seasoned nicely with an added dish of fruit compote. Unfortunately, it wasn't that juicy due to a bit of over-cooking. (In all fairness, cooking pork perfectly is a challenge due to the danger of under-cooking.) The polenta cake was too bland. I think the loveliest part of our meal was the passionfruit ice cream sandwich. It was delicious and refreshing. We would certainly try Provisions again. Hopefully, our assessment will leap from a 4 to a 5!
We had the crispy duck rolls and mushroom toast which were both excellent. My fettuccine with pork bolognese was not salted enough and lacked flavor but the homemade noodles were cooked perfectly. My friend had the pork chop and enjoyed it. I thought it was slightly overlooked. If I return I will stick to the small plates and skip the entrees. Overall it was fine, but I was hoping to be ‘wowed’ which didn’t happen.
Just OK. Not great. Main courses were not served hot.
Very nice place with good food and good service. The only complaint I would have is that the portion you get for the dollar you pay is not very good.
Provisions continues to be among our Salt Lake favorites. The quality of the food and service by Seth were outstanding. Great flavors and excellent choices makes it a place to come back to time and again.
The best thing we ate was the roasted pork shoulder for brunch. Absolutely delicious! The only negative was the egg wasn’t poached- the yolk was firm. Same problem with the eggs Benedict. The waffles & chicken was not good. Chicken was over cooked. The scones were meh. The service was excellent. Very noisy restaurant. I would return for the pork!
Never disappointed. The food is excellent, it’s not loud so you can actually have a conversation with those you are dining with. We love it here!!
food was solid as always. Waited 15 minutes for table after reservation time. Table was cleared when we got there - took them 15 minutes to place silverware on table and seat us.
We were on time and waited while later arrivals were seated. All in all fine, but poor start to a spring brunch.
We'll be back, but not as soon next time.
Brunch. Brunch. Brunch. Fantastic.
Amazing brunch. All of their menu items are well executed. Lots of cocktail options.
This is third time at Provisions and my third time with Page serving us. The food and drinks are excellent and Page always takes such great, personal care of us!!
We’ve been to provisions many times over the years, but last night was particularly wonderful. The udon!!!!! Soooo good! A keeper! And the bavette preparation was delicious. My “grapefruit” Elder 75 should be on the brunch menu!
Thank you so much for continuing to excite our tastebuds!!!!
Great food, even better service. Will return.
I am ashamed of myself it’s taken me this long to come to Provisions for the first time. The brunch was fabulous. The atmosphere was cute and felt very New York. The food was to delicious, fast and quality. The mimosas were 3 bucks and they were delish. I can’t wait to go back again and I highly recommended this place.
Everything was really great! The food was really amazing that night.
A wonderful experience. Food, atmosphere & service was amazing! I’m addicted!
Staff was absolutely amazing. I had a blast brunching by myself. The food was great too.
This is the first time we have had brunch here and enjoyed their brunch food more than dinner. Both are very good, brunch is just outstanding!
Absolutely delicious! The food was creative and fresh, with takes on the food we’d never tried before. Only one small plate was average, the rest were spectacular: the baby back ribs, cauliflower, and sashimi were amazing and the beignets were light and airy. Our server was wonderful, and the ambience was great. Kind of a cottage feel, and not too noisy. We will definitely go again!
The food and friendly atmosphere were wonderful. Playing "background" music that is not in the "background" is so typical in restaurants these days, and Provisions is no exception. People want to TALK when they eat...not listen to someone else's conception of good music. Turn the music down a bit...and this place will be perfect.
Service was great and the food was excellent - creative too!
The only thing I don’t like about this restaurant is this seating arrangement. The only option for 2 people is bench seating and the tables are very close together.
Really liked this cozy spot- ordered drinks and salad to share. I had the lamb shank which was very tasty and my friends had scallops (excellent) and the fettuccini ragu (that was just ok)
Our waitress was nice- but not very present or warm. Overall the ambiance was the nicest part of our meal.
Our drinks were $13-15 a piece/ salad was about $12 and entrees range from $20-35
The bread we asked for was stale and the quality of food was not very good. We paid way too much for the not so great dinner.
Great place to meet friends for dinner or to have an intimate, special occasion, date with your significant other. I love the small plates that you can share and experience the varied menu at Provisions.
I highly recommend this wonderfully charming restaurant.
Worst customer experience I’ve had in years. Took 30 minutes for anyone to greet us at our table. Were out of half the menu
Food was great. Servers were grumpy! Not very interested in serving our table even though it wasn’t very busy.
First time in for brunch. Bright, clean, hip & happening atmosphere. Greated with warm smiles and promptly seated in a cheerful cozy window seat. Our server was delightfully ‘all that’ and we had our cocktails in light speed. I had the Bloody Mary and my husband had a Bellini, both were excellent and we topped them off with an order of delicious Beignets. I’m still dreaming about them, yum! We also decided to give the sashimi appetizer a whirl and we were both speechless after our first bite. So GOOD! We shared the tenderloin and eggs entree. The presentation was beautiful and it was perfectly cooked. The whole experience was amazing and we will definitely be back.
