Food and service were amazing! Went for brunch and everyone at our table enjoyed their meal very much.
Food was great! No complaints as far as that goes. Unfortunately our service wasn’t on par with the rest of the experience. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food, and gave great explanations, descriptions, and recommendations. However, she was the only waitress for the entire restaurant. Obviously this left us unattended to for quite some time. We skipped ordering cocktails and desert because the service was so slow. Food did not disappoint, but overall experience was only wah-wah!
Interesting food and cocktails, wine selection heavily American, friendly service, comfortable ambience, would recommend and revisit
Fantastic service and food
It’s one of my favorite places so far in Salt Lake City. Not to be missed!!
Delicious food, great choice pleasant and attentive staff!
Will definitely be a return diner!!!
The food is fairly good, but the portions are very small.
Love brunch here!! Great good, the Frank's butter on the chicken and waffles is a really nice touch. Our server was fun and friendly and very attentive. Love it.
Beautiful, and intimate, delicious food, and wine. Waitress, gave detailed descriptions and thoughtful recommendations. I will return, to try something new.
Great food and service!
Provisions never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always fantastic.
This has been my go to for a nice meal, knowing I'm going to drop some money here. I recently went and left disappointed. It just wasn't the usual high quality that I am used to. Not sure if it was just a bad night or if they have new owners, new chef, ? but something has changed. While the cauliflower was still good, similar to the times I have had it in the past, most of the menu offered different items. I tried several plates but the wow factor was just not there. Everything was rather average.
Portion size of fish entree is extremely small. It was delicious but tiny and the price is not tiny.
Ambience is so stark and does not match the fine dining experience at all.
Great service. Wonderful recommendations from our waitress. Food was amazing. Cocktails were amazing.
Portions for a “large plate” are very small. Might be considered tapas size, but wait I thought thats what the “small plates” are for. Table bread is extra, don’t arrive hungry.
We dined at Provisions on my birthday, Christmas Eve. The food was incredible, but our server was not. She did not provide level of service and attention that one would expect at Provisions. She took her time to initially approach our table...she opened the wine that we brought but did not pour the wine...she barely checked on us throughout our dining experience, and we had to wait for at least 15 minutes before we received our check. It was extremely disappointing.
Great Christmas Eve!
Family Christmas dinner
Every time we go to Provisions we are pleasantly surprised by the unique menu and awesome service. This one of our favorite places in SLC. Never have we been disappointed. I have to say that one of my all-time favorite meals was here. Thanks for keeping up your game!!
Service could not have been better
Portions were small but otherwise great dinner
What a great experience. The food was amazing and the staff was wonderful!
I would like to express some frustrations with our experience today. We went for brunch and it was our first time trying this establishment. I ordered a mimosa, then our server offered us a "mimosa carafe special" instead with a bottle of champagne. I specifically asked how much it would cost, and he said "I'm not sure, but if you have more than a couple it will end up being a better bang for your buck." We said "okay, that sounds good" and were shocked when our bill came. The "special" was $55 (regular mimosas cost $4). I will note that the food was very good, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
Highly recommended for brunch, food was great, service was wonderful. Will definitely be back.
Great food. Not huge portions. Service was good!
We had multiple of the small plates, some of them outstanding, like brussel sprouts, others very good...delicious mousse for dessert. Service could have been slightly more attentive. I will be back for more...
A Thanksgiving Dinner fit for a finicky foodie! Every aspect of this meal was next-level! Excellent! A fantastic adventure for the palate. I am a culinary school graduate and had my doubts about going out for the holiday instead of cooking it myself (which I have always done). Choosing Provisions was the best thing we did. From the moment we walked into the door, we were treated like family. There was no 'panic' on the wait staff's faces. Although fully booked and very busy, everyone looked and behaved as if we were the only ones there for the most important meal of the year. Time was taken to explain the dishes and to give excellent recommendations! Each course that came out was a delight! Such great flavors, textures and combinations! The chef took a traditional meal and made it into something truly unique, while honoring time-tested flavors. We were blown away from the salad and soup to the main courses and desserts. The portions were plentiful, yet tasteful. The desserts were to die for. We had the skillet apple cobbler, the pumpkin pie and the brownie chocolate pie. Nobody could decide which was the best out of them because they were all so good. I generally don't feel as if the experiences at restaurants are worth taking the time to write about. But I've been trying to figure out how to put such a fantastic culinary adventure into words. I hope I did it justice. We are already planning our next trip back!
Very good food with large portions. The restaurant was very accommodating to seat our group with one handicap scooter in the group. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Great atmosphere!! Beignets are amazing!!!! Coffee is fresh, hot and yummy!!! Service is impeccable!!!!
Food and service were excellent! Wish the ambiance was less stark and more appropriate for the fine dining that you offer.
This review applies only to the dinner experience at Provisions. I have brunch here regularly, and couldn’t love it more! The quality of the dinner for the cost left much to be desired. Tiny ‘pretty’ portions and little substance. A few dishes were good, a few were so-so. None were worth all of our party leaving wanting more, and paying $75/each for whatever we had just consumed. Not one of the four of us was satisfied with the experience. Especially considering where I’ve eaten for $75/person. The hyper-inflated cost was a disappointment to say the least. I’ll pay for amazing food, including the tiny, beautiful bites from phenomenal food combinations. It hurts to pay for marginal food that is made to appear tiny and pretty to add ‘value’ (or pomp and circumstance) to what you’re actually eating.
Love Provisions atmosphere, concept, brunch, cocktails... so disappointed not to have loved the dinner experience as much. Hoping this was just an off-night
Maybe we just went on a bad night but we were not very impressed. Cauliflower and brussel sprouts were good and would have been a lot better without the overwhelming amount of peppercorns. Main dishes were a bit off and unimpressive. Wish it was a better experience.
Dinner out with friends; we always enjoy Provisions for it's welcoming staff, it's cozy atmosphere, and it's excellent food.
First time visit. We will be back. Perfect spot for a multigenerational meal.
Went for brunch, could not have loved it more! Great food and service, wonderful cocktails!
Overall it is a great restaurant experience. Food is unique, well flavored, prepared and proportioned well. Our only complaint was the noise level in the back room where the hostess sat us. We were surrounded by two large noisy tables, and we could barely hear each other. It was tiring to have to shout at each other, and frankly, it took away from the dining experience. I suggest sound dampening for the room, or if you want to be able to speak at a normal level, perhaps go earlier or later, or ask for a different area.
Innovative small plates, creative craft cocktails, and attentive skilled service make this restaurant a must try. Sit at the bar and admire the working open kitchen staff.
Provisions has probably always been a gem of a restaurant, but I didn't start coming here until it was recommended to my by chef Amanda back when she was working at Copper Onion. (In more recent months, Amanda has moved from the Onion TO Provisions, a fitting move.) Everything about the restaurant from the greeting on arrival to the hospitable and knowledgeable staff to the menu creation and execution, ingredient sourcing and beverages is excellent! I experienve Provisions as an upscale farm-to-fork-style restaurant not afraid to throw a few fusion elements in from around the globe. I plan to dine here very often!
Even a week after eating there my s/o and I can’t stop talking about how amazing the food and service was. A truly exceptional place
