Our first visit and I was not wowed. The sever did not seem educated on the menu. I had Kimchi Bowl, decent taste but no chopped stix. My Manhattan was tasty but the bartender did not include the "sjgnature" bourbon marinaded cherry.
Awesome time. Our server Nate was very professional. Food was excellent as usual. Leave space for desert, worth it.
Brunch was fantastic. Very accommodating on Mother's Day
Excellent food and service. Awesome flavors and presentation.
The food was delicious and the host was extremely wonderful, he brought coloring books and crayons and toys for the 2 year old with us! Service was great!!
Wonderful food, awesome time. Will keep going back.
Wine list... Awesome
I would recommend this place to everyone!!
The service was slow and impersonal. We felt like we were intruding and an inconvenience to our waiter. He was inattentive and performed his duties at a minimum. The food was average. Will not return to this restaurant.
my husband and I went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. we ordered two beers to start, we waited 20 mins and no server or beers to be seen. we got up to leave and when my husband approached the server he looked surprised we were leaving. He didn't even apologize for the poor service. We wont go back.
Enjoyed the ambience, good quality of food, pretty good service, portions were a little smaller but overall it was a good experience.
First timer at this new addition to baldwin park. Everything we ate was amazing. We shared about 5 apps and a few entrees. It was delicious. Drinks were fantastic as well. Great usage of ingredients. So excited to have this in our neighborhood. Our server was friendly, patient with us, and when we needed him he was there without hovering around. Will definitely go back and bring people with us. We heard their brunch is great so maybe that will be next...
I was a little apprehensive at first because the reviews I had read were a bit mixed, but the prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day looked pretty fun. Well...we were definitely not let down. The fried Brussels sprouts Caesar salad was absolutely delicious, the smoked salmon and crab potstickers were delicious, and the prime rib was done with much care. I'm also very hit and miss with horseradish sauces, but the one prepared by Chef Josh was exquisite. Thanks for making our Valentine's Day special!
My wife and I went here for Valentine's Day and we were NOT disappointed. The ambiance is very nice and allowed for a great dinner conversation. We had soup, appetizers and a entree - and all were fantastic.
Unfortunately, although I live in Baldwin Park, I have not been to this restaurant before. Now that I have found this gem - we will be back again soon!!
The good and bad news for new restaurants in this town is that the bar is much higher than it used to be. Creative chefs like the Petrakis' of the Ravenous Pig group and Brandon McGlamery of the Luma group challenge competitors to bring their "A" game, and diners have come to expect more from a night out to eat. In all fairness, I will say that our group is not easy to please...we dine out regularly, not just locally, but travel extensively as well. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, there were a number of empty tables inside and out. We started with a drink order which got held up because, as our server put it, "the bartender was really slammed." In the meantime, the server took our order. After having to prompt him to tell us about the specials, we placed our order and were told that the kitchen had run out of one the entrees we asked for. What is or is not available should be made clear before you order...not so you are left scrambling to come up with your second choice while your order is being taken. Our cocktails and appetizers came out all at once, the entrees not long after. "Grades" for our entrees ranged from a B+ for the Duck, to a B- for the chicken and a C for the grouper. It was all just OK. Provisions ran out of three beers that we tried to order, though we have to give some props to the manager (?) who tried hard to find a suitable replacement, and Provisions did comp one of the beers we ordered. Again, with dessert there were pacing issues and a piece of pie came out several minutes before a martini glass of berries, not sure what the hold-up was there. The decor is average, the paint on the wall next to our booth was chipped, the tables are formica-topped, the restaurant was way too warm, they don't serve espresso, and our water glasses were never refilled. Provisions is not inexpensive, in the same price range for example as Cask & Larder, but it has a long way to go before it will be in the same league.
Took a while to get menus or silverware. Chalking it up to the fact that it's newly opened and the staff is new. Would go back!
Cute Place. Went for brunch. Slow service. Mediocre food. Not sure if I will try dinner....
I read several mixed reviews before going so I was pleasantly surprised with our experience. It was basically the same interior which was ok. It appears they have improved on the outside dining but it was pouring rain when we were there so chose to eat inside. The service was adequate. There was a very large party there so I think they were trying hard to wait on them and wait other tables which made it appear a little short staffed but they were very attentive when the waitress got to us and the hostess tried to help by bringing water, taking plates etc... I had the stuffed trout and my husband had the grouper and we were both pleased with our meals. My only food complaint was the lack of salad selection (basically none). I would go again.
Went for New Year's Eve and loved the fixed menu. Great drink selections and the waiter was really attentive to our large group.
Not sure what to expect with new management , but totally exceeded expectations!
