Just a weekend away with hubby. We heard great things about this place so we made reservations. We read about Appy Hour, so we went earlier to experience that. Oysters and sushi were fantastic. But $15 for a glass of wine that basically cost $15-$18 per bottle took away from any appy deal. So our bill was $60 for 2 glasses of wine each and $18 for appetizers. Just a bit off.
Dinner was very good... and by then we knew water was the drink!
Bottom Line, good food but expensive to have a couple glasses of wine!

We were there late night for Valentine's day and it was amazing. We had the P.O.B sampler along with a Philly roll and the wasabi ginger calamari. Everything was perfect! The raw bar items were fresh as can be expected and a great selection. We will be returning again. Thank you!

Another great meal. Waitress was not as friendly as one would expect, she did not even tell us her name!!!

We were there for Valentine's Day. We loved the fresh seafood and the paella for two. We were delighted with the homemade Tiramisu. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. The manager checked in with us to make sure we were happy...we were. The bar was active and full of patrons...looked a tad crowded, so we were very content at our table. Terrific oyster selection from RI, MASS, and NY.

We were a group of three and had a great meal and an enjoyable experience at POB. Excellent server, food was great... we'd go here again in a heartbeat.

my girlfriend and I dined here for dinner as we were craving oysters! We ordered a bunch of different items- oysters were great as always. We got the lobster wontons which were not good- couldnt taste lobster meat just something with spice in some friend dough. We also got some sushi rolls- several were flavorful and others were bland. I would recommend oyster bar for HH drinks and snacks- not a full dinner.

Excellent experience overall! Would have appreciated the “happy hour” deals at the dinner tables, but great outside of that. Food was delicious!

My daughter and I ate at Providence Oyster Bar on Saturday night. We are from West coast and wanted some Eastern we over indulged. Oyster Rockefeller, lobster bisque, calamari and then giant scallops. Our server was excellent. Cocktails - martini and wine!
We loved it!

The food is overpriced for such small portions. The waiter was not the friendliest guy around. Pretty disappointed in general. That's a one time visit for certain!

We were there for restaurant week and ordered the swordfish from the prix fixe menu and it was dry. Bread pudding was dry as well. Service was good and we had a nice booth. Was here a few years ago and food was great. Maybe best not to go during restaurant week.

It wasn't a long wait for the table, that was good. We were sat in the rear of the restaurant, a fair seat. Many times while siting there was a gush of cold air, for which my wife really notice, she had a dress. The food was top shelf, my wife pick here for the sea food, said we had dined to much at Hemingway's, this was a nice change. More attention for dusting, my wife is a clean freak and had
slide her finger on the chair rail and was show dust on her finger tip.

Over all a good night out
