Loved the menu selection. Portion sizes were just right. Waitress got us out in time to get to show at Sprint Center
Fantastic bartender at bar area, Toni. Friendly and efficient.
In the President Hotel, the Providence is an incredible restaurant. This is not your normal hotel restaurant!!! It’s really great.
If you need a place to eat before an event downtown it serves the purpose.
Excellent service. Delicious drinks. The food was a little underwhelming taste wise for me. Great portions though.
being in the old historic president hotel, it was perfect for my clients from Norway, and the Drum Room history complimented the evening as well.
Food and service was excellent. Not a big fan of the restaurant decor. Very convenient though. Located in the president hilton where we like to stay.
I was not crazy about their pasta. But the rest of the time there was very enjoyable
We were greeted by friendly staff which continued through out our dinner. The menu selections were broad enough to accommodate everyone. The food was great! The servers were attentive and well informed. We will be back1
Our entire experience from start to finish was top notch and our server Dennis was one of the best servers we've ever had. It was our first time here and it won't be our last.
This was our first time at Providence and we really enjoyed it. Our server Kaylee (sp?) was great. One of us had the soup and pork, the other the kale salad and pasta -- everything was delicious!
Everything was excellent! The food was even better than we expected with new, interesting flavors that worked perfectly. The service was top notch and friendly. We kept talking about how happy we were with the meal for hours after.
I ordered the Chicken something and the meat was Gray and the outside breading was grease filled.
We had the Salmon as a substitute and it came out Super rare... Food was just Meh, Services wasnt knowledgeable, but they accommodates us and were friendly.
Just wasnt impressed.
Just minutes from Music Hall. Great service and food.
Christmas lunch w my kids was awesome, thank you!
We had so much fun and our waiter was wonderful!!
The cocktail service is really slow. Food service slow also. Overall, need to improve service. Food was good and we really liked the salad.
Never been here before and was very happy with the atmosphere and food. Hope to go back sometime. Historic hotel is beautiful.
Great food and outstanding service. Comfort food with a distinctive twist. Convenient when stating at hotel or going to Power and Light.
Loud and brightly lit. Drinks took 25 minutes and came only after a reminder, and after first course. Food on salty side, but staff was friendly and place is energetic. More like a bustling college cafeteria than a sleek hotel restaurant.
Dined before the Bob Seger concert! Excellent service. Wonderful cocktail selection. Enjoyed the "Jackie-O," but will need to come back and try more! The meatloaf was ok. Good flavor, but a little dry. Highly recommend the Pear upside down cake for dessert. You won't be disappointed.
We enjoyed our time there. The food was good. Service was good. Waitress was excellent and we will go back again.
Great restaurant in a great historic location!
We ate there before a theater performance at the Music Hall. It was close enough we could park once for the evening.
Our experience at Providence was amazing! We had tickets to a show at the Music Hall and were looking for a restaurant close by, something different. So glad we did! Our server, Dennis, was attentive and friendly. He asked if we had an event to go to so he could time things and ensure we finished on time. Took stress away knowing he was aware of where we needed to be and when. The food was delicious - I had the Scottish salmon- I highly recommend it; very unique. My mom ordered the fish and chips. Food came out fresh and hot. The menu has something for everyone - if you just want a quick appetizer before a show, they have a nice charcuterie plate, and fresh salads. Entrees range from burgers to salmon to filet mignon. Nice wine and cocktail list. We will definitely be back - this is our new go-to place when we have a show downtown!
Food was cold, service took long, and wasn’t happy overall experience.
Terrible service. The hostess/ waitress was sitting in her office ( we could see her) while we stood at the check in desk waiting to be seated. She didn’t come out until the bar waitress yelled at her. Ordered my filet medium -it came rare and the server never came back to see if it was cooked correctly. Again had to flag her down. This place is overpriced and not worth your time.
I loved the restaurant, including the service, but the menu is very limited which I thought was the only down fall. Also the ranch was very watery. Had a great experience though.
We had an excellent dinner. Would highly recommend for a concert night downtown.
Food is good and variety of items not what you’d expect from a a restaurant associated with a hotel! Good value & drinks. Close to Sprint Center making it convenient for pre concert meals. Very accommodating (we had reservations at a time that worked well to allow us enough time to enjoy our meal) and worked well for us to eat & get to the show on time.
What a wonderful surprise! Although it’s located in a hotel, you wouldn’t really know it. Wonderful and informed server, adequate wine list, impressive bourbon selection, good location within walking distance to everything in the P&L district.
Then there is the food. WOW! I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked, rested on a wonderful bed of sorghum, parsnips and other fabulous Fall offerings. It tasted just like Fall, my favorite time of year.
My husband had the shrimp and grits. It was delivered in a cast iron bowl overflowing with creole goodness. I don’t like grits, but would have eaten a gallon of these. DELICIOUS!!
We will go back and probably stay at The President so we are close to this heavenly goodness.
Dennis our server was awesome. Attentive without hovering, interactive and very enjoyable. The ribeye was outstanding
Went for a date before a concert. Ordered the ribeye on the server’s recommendation. Ordered it medium rare. Came back so well done it was almost flavorless. Server didn’t have many tables and still only visited table after taking our order when we needed two refills. Was surprised based on the positive recommendations I read. Won’t go back.
We frequently go to this restaurant before attending events at the Sprint Center or The Music Hall. We have even walked over to The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts after dinner here. It is always easy to get a reservation and we have always had a great meal. We have always been able to make it to our events on time or with time to spare due to the good service at Providence - New American Kitchen.
Our food was good we had salads and soup also meatloaf. Everything was fresh and hot and are server was excellent.
Enjoyed the specialty cocktails and diverse appetizer, dinner and dessert menus. Something for everyone! Service was personal and prompt.
First time at this restaurant and it was wonderful! We were attending a concert at the Sprint Center and Dennis, our waiter made sure the food came out promptly. Loved the food and the atmosphere. Dennis was a great server and we will be sure to ask for him again.
The food was excellent, and the setting was comfortable and quiet enough that a large group could have conversations. The service was outstanding! Dennis was welcoming, friendly, fun, and one of the best service providers I have experienced. We told him what we needed and when we needed to leave, and he was simply outstanding.
Great service, good food.
Came with high expectations but chef let us down. Service was great. Pork chop dry and salmon over cooked. Wine by the glass seemed stale. Overall very average.
Brought clients. Service was slow, food not good, my meal didn’t even come out until 20 min after the others, leaving me not eating, and taking it to go. Serious disappointment.
