Beautiful location on False Creek; great outdoor heated patio; informed friendly service; excellent seafood linguine; large portions. All good.
Innovative, creative food exquisitely presented. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
great food & wonderful ambience, amazing service. Consistently 5 star and one of our favourite places to go in Vancouver!
We have been to Provence Marinaside before. Looking for French cuisine for my birthday dinner, made them a ready solution. We had a marvelous meal. I went with the escargot and frog legs. They were done to perfection, as was the bouillabaisse for my main. Our server was very attentive to our dining needs and offered up several surprises including a chocolate mousse birthday treat. Many thanks to Provence for an enjoyable dining experience.
Good dinner and service. A little noisy with lot of people. OK.
I hadn't been to Provence in some time so I was surprised to be sat in an addition of sorts (this 'side-hallway' type room to the right of the hostess stand)...the atmosphere is lacking and you feel somewhat like they are placing you in the back/extra seatin, despite the restaurant not being full and we made a reservation a week before. Our waiter was young, curt and a bit of a know it all. We were a table of 40 something individuals who had all spent a considerable amount of time in the restaurant industry when we were in our 20's so we 'get' what being a good server should be. The food was mediocre and felt dated like the only reason the restaurant is still around is because of the location. It was their 'Sweet 16' thus they had birthday pricing?? And gold accented 'Sweet 16' decor around the bar...it was so tacky. We heard their brunch is quite good but I would not return for the food, atmosphere or overall dining experience, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Sorry Provence, you need to try harder considering how many options there are in the city now.
We had a delicious dinner while celebrating three birthdays; the restaurant went to the trouble of surprising the birthday guys with pieces of cake and candles! So very delightful! The staff were perfect; kind, professional and courteous. The noise level is louder so we older folks do have trouble hearing each other- but our 34 year old son said that that is normal in today's restaurants.
One of my favorite local restaurants. Never disappoints.
A little disappointing this time
Great restaurant. Never disappoints . Great good and decent wine list
Exceptional dinner with great service. My wife thought it was the best seafood platter she had ever had.
Loved it all! Try the seafood linguini and the chocolate mousse.
Valentine's menu was amazing, will come back again
Had a fantastic time on Valentine's Day at Provence Marinaside.
Staff were professional, courteous and attentive. Food was smaller portions, but excellent and let ft not feeling I would have wanted more...so just perfect.
View into False Creek was exquisite and the soft jazz trio enhanced the nice ambience and overall experience.
Good food, good service. We’ve been there a few times before and will keep going there.
Excellent food. I had the bouillabaisse which had perfectly cooked seafood. My husband had the grilled lobster which was also perfect- not dry, not chewy like some other lobster dishes I’ve tried. Great service- very cozy ambiance. Server was very attentive. Will go back!
Friendly service and wonderful atmosphere. Patio seating available and paid street parking nearby. Food was quite good.
Love this restaurant. Have never been disappointed.
Food was excellent but the restaurant is very noisy and conversation was so difficult we didn’t stay for coffee.
We had an enjoyable evening, with good food & atmosphere.
Apart from a slight delay on drink orders, the service was excellent and the cuisine was both very good and consistent with recent visits. The careful balance of professional yet familiar service is a rare find in Vancouver.
Fur our son
I was traveling on business and was dining solo. I chose this restaurant because it was well reviewed and had extended the restaurant week tasting menu. It was a bit disappointing. The first course was lovely, although I was surprised how cold the duck roulette was. The entree was tasty, but it wasn’t French. That was probably my mistake for not choosing the only French entree out of several. The cheese course for dessert did not have the proper accompaniments - it was served with toast and olives as though it was an appetizer, rather than fig paste and honey for a dessert. I paid for what I thought was a full wine pairing but it was skimpy. And I had to flag down my waiter any time I needed service - he never asked me how my food was or if I needed anything. I have experienced this before as a solo diner and it’s very insulting. I had very high hopes for this experience and was mostly disappointed, although the food in general was tasty.
couldn't be better! I will definitly come again next special occasion
Suprised they extended the dine out menu. We had the beef filet and the mushroom ravioli with prawns. The beef was very tender and juicy. The ravioli was perfect too. The only down fall was the prawns. Too salty. Otherwise everything was perfect. Our champagne was excellent too, although it's $29 a glass, but it's from France.
Had a great server (Benjamin from France) who made our dinner experience all the more enjoyable along with the well made dishes.
The food was very well prepared w/ fresh ingredients. We enjoyed it very much!
Provence never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the wait staff is always personable, educated and efficient. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic as usual. We were there for Dine Out so it was a very good deal. Our server was one of the best ever. Unfortunately, I did not get her name. So personable and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list!! This is a top favourite for sure!!
We went for dine out and the service and food were wonderful. Our server was great and very friendly. The decor was beautiful and clean.
Wonderful restaurant with great food. Great for lunch, dinner or brunch.
The food is wonderful, with a great selection of French and French influenced West Coast dining. Service is always very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful. We enjoyed dinner on Wednesday, while listening to wonderful music on the sound system, not too loud, just perfect. Then, the Wednesday night Jazz trio started about 6:30, and the trio was first class, highly skilled musicians,, playing light jazz and popular tunes. And the band was never too loud, but just the right volume. Especially enjoyed the saxophone player.
We had the wine pairing offered with the 3 course dinner, and this was also excellent. Definitely our favourite restaurant in Vancouver.
Very tasty food. Coming again for valentines day
A great place to have a dining with friends~ Friendly services~ However, the tasting is not that good-
Cozy place, good music, good food, price is not fair. Overall is ok.
Good place, good food and good services, very friendly staff. The mussels are so good, juicy and same quality/size of each and every single mussel, you feel them are finely hand picked before sending to your table. Our waiter Michael is very friendly, professional and considerate. Strongly recommend.
Excellent food! Great service
We had some amazing food and service during dine out. I liked that the waiters went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of.
Great staff. All very attentive and worked as a team. Food was really good and the goat cheese salad was heaven!
We went there for dine out Event and it was AMAZING!!
We had dine out course and petite wine pairing. Even the petite wine that was good amount for me to try out 3 different wines.
We ordered tasting plate and warm goat cheese salad for appies, bouillabaisse and mashroom ravioli for main and chocolate mouse and cream caramel for dessert...
everything was super delicious especially warm goat cheese salad!!! Ummmm... wanna go back and eat again!!
Even though restaurant was busy, food and drinks were served perfect timing and server was very friendly.
Definitely worse for what you pay!
We will be back soon for sure:)
Good food and good service!
