Based on the website menu information we selected our food and made this reservation. When we arrived we found that the menu was completely different and did not have what we had selected. We left in anger and disappointment and did not eat at Provenance.

Provenance is a wonderful restaurant with the distinct advantage of being located inside of a world class museum. As a result they are able to deliver delicious food in an intimate and beautiful setting after or before which may choose to stroll through the exceptional galleries and exhibits of the Cleveland Museum of Art!

As always we enjoyed a delicious Spinach Soup with garlic croutons, and a salad with fresh local veggies, grilled chicken and the best Ranch dressing drizzled on top. We sat on the lovely patio with the garden right next to us! It was a perfect spot to catch up with a girl friend. Chef Cathy Pavlos was walking about and visiting with customers. We swapped a few recipe ideas. Always a treat to see her! Cheers, Deirdre

Brunch is probably my least favorite meal there. Lunch is perfect and I haven"t tried dinner yet.

I was there for brunch several times and the food was much better. The eggs benidic were dry , extra bacon was hard as a rock, thay did away with the pastry table. Good Bloody Mary. They need to step it up before I go back.

Always a pleasure to dine here. Creative menu that often incorporates items reflecting current exhibitions at the Museum. Make a reservation if you wish to eat at a specific time.

We went to Provenance before seeing The Jazz Age exhibit at The Art Museum. My son absolutely loved his fried chicken and waffles. The Eggs Benedict were so delicious and my husband enjoyed his breakfast tortilla. Beautiful view and excellent service!

Clever and interesting seasonal fare that is delicious. Had an apple-cheddar galette with sage ice cream, one of the best desserts I've ever had. Nice wine, too. Entrees are a bit skimpy for the price--no complaint about the taste, though.

The food is excellent; I have eaten there several times. Excellent selection of beverages at the bar. The service is also excellent every time with our waitress or waiter attentive, but not overly so. Large windows overlook grass and trees at the Cleveland Museum of Art - nice views. We were also fortunate to be able to listen to a live jazz band for an hour just outside the restaurant on our most recent visit. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Ate a very tasty brunch before visiting the Art Museum to check out one of the special exhibits. Very quiet and good views of the grounds outside. Really good cocktails and very tasty eggs benedict right inside the museum.

Crab risotto had no crab and was not "risotto", it was white rice and was cold. The short ribs were good but also cold. The apps were also room temp. Great waitress and service.

We were a trio of friends. Long-time friends. It was most enjoyable and relaxing to dine there. We plan to do it again. Our server was unobtrusive and did her job well. Orders were accurate and served in a reasonable time. It was a perfect cap after viewing The Jazz Age--which we all thought astounding and so well organized. Of course, we all shopped--and purchased--at the Museum Store before leaving.

As usual, a fine creative dinner at Provenance at the Cleveland Museum of Art before a concert. Vegetarian options are always intriguing and again were a big success. The spinach, roast carrot, dates and sesame seeds salad was almost a meal in itself and very flavorful. Farro "nicoise" with thin slices of summer squash and potato, and olive tapenade was excellent. My wife was equally pleased with her mushroom soup and crab risotto.

We were seated in a soulless barren room. No ambiance of any sort while the main room bustled
Server was personable and efficient. My hot brunch entrée was cold and the complaint was forgotten about Sorry CMA, this isn't up to par.

My husband and I usually rate Provenance 5 stars all the way. This time the initial cocktails were very slow in coming and one of my appetizers (eggplant) was completely flavorless. A bit disappointing.

Perhaps 15 tables of which three were occupied. We asked for one of the three window tables and the hostess muttered something about balancing servers. Five minutes later she seated a party there and our table had the same server as us! Handed a limited brunch menu...expected lunch. Crab cake sandwich delicious but served only with a huge mound of fried potatoes.

This is a great restaurant in the museum. The combo of coming early to see some art and then good eats is nice. Only issue is they need their own exit so they can close off the entrance to the museum and not have to throw every one out by 9 sharp.

This restaurant helped me make a number of reservations and gave my own table of seven a wonderful dining experience. The space is open, modern, comfortable and quiet. The wine list is admirable, the food is delicious if not extraordinary, service was excellent, and prices are reasonable.

Portions are generous and service is routinely very good. A lovely place for a white tablecloth lunch on a leisurely day.

Three of us had the Breakfast burger. Cooked the way it was ordered (rare) but really really salty. Way too much seasoning on the burger itself especially when the saltiness of the nduja was added in. Otherwise pretty tasty. The other entree was the crab cake, slaw, & porkbelly sandwich which was also quite salty that day. Still there was a nice Pays d'Oc rose on the menu which brightened things considerably.

After an evening of touring exhibits at CMA, we were looking forward to a wonderful dinner. While the food and win offerings were great, our food arrived cold, my wife had to send hers back, we were not asked if we wanted more wine, there was only 2 pieces of bread in the basket when served, and we were never asked if we wanted to have desert when we were discussing cable TV options. It was a not so great experience when were eating in one of the top museums in the world. Might not make a return trip for a while.

I've been coming here for brunch for special occasions for years and always loved it. However, when I came for Sunday brunch this week, I was very disappointed. There used to be a great chef's table that you could visit before your meal with fresh fruit, salad, granola, pastries, etc. According to our waiter they got rid of that a couple months ago. The entrees didn't live up to expectations, ether. My Caesar salad was literally just some lettuce coated in too much dressing; it didn't come with bread or anything to make it filling, and there was absolutely nothing exceptional about it. I also got two fried eggs on the side, and their consistency was good but they were basically coated in salt. My girlfriend got the corn meal pancake. While the pancake was yummy, there wasn't nearly enough salmon or creme fraiche on it. Neither of us finished our dishes. While we used to leave completely stuffed with delicious entrees and a great chef's table, this time we left disappointed and hungry.

Wonderful place to take friends when visiting the Cleveland Museum of Art. Make sure to make reservations ahead if you have specific times you wish to eat (or if there are special exhibitions on which are popular). Don't be afraid to ask about menu ingredients or adapting dishes. The staff has always been able to accommodate my requests and I've always been able to find something I've been able to eat.

This was my second visit there. Both times service was slow, though slightly improved this time. The first time we waited over 30 minutes for our server to clear/box our food. Both times, the food was good there, but later I did not feel well. Such a lovely place, well reviewed chef, but outcome is disappointing.
