of California’s wine country to Eastbluff Village Center. This is an exciting new restaurant concept that focuses on bringing seasonal, local and responsible fare to the community. We are ingredient driven, everything is made from scratch, and we use only fresh, seasonal and local ingredients of the highest possible quality. Those ingredients that are not from our garden are sourced from a network of small-scale producers. We believe that sharing emotions with the customer is what cooking is all about. Our kitchen at Provenance unites tradition and modernity and we have a deep respect for our product and our guests. We are going back in time with our own garden, and the experience is just about as local and as natural as you can get...Come in and sample Napa Valley here in Newport Beach!
Thanksgiving! Good value, good menu. Dessert bar was meh...
We came for Thanksgiving and feel the meal was fair. I chose the prime rib and it was a thin slice with barely any meat. My cocktail was delicious, however. Service also fair. Sides were ok. Dessert bar was meh, they were cold from sitting outside and mostly hard and stale. I would have been much happier with a fresh slice of anything or ice cream. We may consider dinner on a normal night since it is walking distance. It was overpriced for what we got and would not recommend for a holiday.
Very good food. Service was impeccable every person that passed by the table asked if we were ok, cleared any plates, and always checked in on us. Only gripe is for the special Thanksgiving dinner protein size was a little small and soup size was small. Quality of food and service is on point
Thanksgiving Day!!! No cooking thanks to Chef Cathy Pavlos and her Team. Since we are Doing our event on Saturday this was perfect! Everything was incredibly delicious! I had the traditional Thanksgiving and Peter had the Prime Rib. Both with colorful and delicious veggies, stuffing & gravy and cranberry sauce. The desserts were a display of many incredibly delicious and dreamy sweets!
I even got some valuable cooking tips from Chef Cathy who is always so gratuitous and willing to help others. The best!
Unfortunately we were seated outside next to the service area - probably the worst seat in the restaurant which was disappointing.
FIRST TIME DINING HERE: massively overpriced for the quality of the food and drink served. Wine prices were completely ridiculous compared to other venues. No wonder almost all other guests were bringing their own and paying corkage. Had I only known. Salad was passable but guest's stroganoff was a tasteless snooze. my entree, the sanddabs tasted fishy and as if they had hung around for a while. Ardent server doing his level best to represent a restaurant named for something it does not possess.
Wonderful food, service and ambience. A neighborhood hidden gem.
The dishes are always beautiful But, this is the premier place for a dessert. If one does not ordinarily order dessert be sure to do so here. Always creative and constantly changing. Don’t know how she does it
The food was excellent but the service was Horrible!!!!!
It took 50 minutes to get an appetizer & 25 minutes to get some wine
Food was good, service was just ok. Definitely would try it again
Great food, perfect portions and freshest ingredients straight from the garden outside! Love this place every time
Used to be much better . Would not rush back . Lacked true ambience despite good food. Felt like they were rushing to get us out as it was not busy .
Our server was very nice. Food was excellent! Short ribs were amazing. We had the canolli’s for dessert which was just OK but everything else made up for that. I highly recommend.
This was our second time dining at Provenance & we have not left disappointed either time. The ambiance is lovely...we chose to eat outside by the gardens. We started with the biscuits & a couple of cocktails My husband had the tenderloin & I ordered lamb chops. Both were very flavorful & tender & delicious! And for dessert we shared the olive oil cake with berries😊
What a hidden gem! Everything about this place was fabulous. The garden out back was such a wonderful surprise.
This is one of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast. Not a brunch, you can order what you want at a reasonable price and sit in a lovely garden!
The food and service were excellent as always
Food is amazing - loved every bite and would have given five stars but service was bad. I had to ask for literally everything - ask to order, ask for more water, ask for dessert menu and ask for bill and we were seated right in the front. Maybe they were just busy but they need more staff if your patrons have to ask for everything.
A real charmer with wonder , healthy selections....think of a garden cafe in Napa!
Always great food
Excellent service and a great atmosphere on the patio.
Provenance is wonderful! We can always count on a great meal with the freshest ingredients. We like the new menu (and the new chairs!). A great go-to dinner place for 2 or 4 or more.
Great lunch and do enjoyed being on the garden patio! Flatbread was delicious and the salad and soup was perfect. We wanted the biscuits... ain’t gonna lie but we did not order them. I just weighed in at WW and lost 3 pounds so had to be good! Deirdre
Sweet hidden spot. Great food welcoming staff Nice wine list
The setting was perfect- such a warm and cozy spot! I loved that the restaurant wasn't too loud and the service was great. The food on the other hand needed salt- and was somewhat bland. We will give it another try seeing as we live in the nearby, but hope for some better dishes next time we go!
Perhaps we ordered the wrong entree but no one really enjoyed it. The service was OK but nothing outstanding.
Always delightful. Service is great!!!!
The ancient grain bowl is the bomb! The squash platter was yummy!!!
I had been to Provenance before for a business lunch and was excited to share the same dining experience with my family. The service received by the server left a bad taste in the mouth. From the second he approached the table he was apathetic and ornery and it stayed that way the entire night. What was really offputting was when I had asked for the lamb chops to be served without Farro beans and just root vegetables as listed under the entree of the menu. When I received my entree I got lamb chops plated on a bed of raw spinach. When I asked the waiter about the missing root vegetables, he explained I had asked for the dish to be without the Farro beans. I confirmed yes and he looked at me like I was an idiot and said, “Farro beans ARE a root vegetable”. To prevent any more distraction and embarrassment, I digressed and said it was fine. To be honest, if I was wrong about Farro beans being a root vegetable it would have been a different story; but to make your guest feel like an idiot when the server himself is incorrect in his product knowledge is another story. Between my husband (who is a director of operations for a restaurant group) and myself (a previous restaurant manager) with over 20 years of hospitality experience between the two of us, our threshold for receiving bad service is higher than the average consumer, but this server’s hospitality was truly something else.
We have celebrated special occasions here twice. The food and service are always outstanding.
The service was horrible. We were invisible and had to chase down our server twice. Love this place. So clever and cute. Hope my next experience is better. Not giving up!
Always fresh and delish food, great patio dining on a lovely night.
Let’s start with those incredible biscuits and butter. The new chairs are awesome! Outdoor patio is so pretty overlooking their edible garden. I had the Lasagna and it was incredible. A layer of Béchamel Sauce made it so flavorful. My friend had the lamb chops appetizer. So good.
Great place. The wait staff often served your dishes with dirty dishes still on the table and did not change out silverware when new courses came. But overall it’s a good place.
Very good experience! Service excellent we had Andrew helping us as well as other wait staff. We all received our food at the same time( big plus) . The wine was very pricey for the menu and we felt that was the only negative.
Loved it! Salad was so fresh! Biscuits were delicious. Had the spicy chicken with spinach fettuccine ... it was really good. My husband loved his fish dish. Can’t wait to come back!
I’ve only been a few times and the food and service have always been very good. This time, the service was poor and disappointing.
Great food and service. We brought our friends and they loved the place. Thx.
Service was great and gave just the right attentiveness. Loved the interior space and feel of restaurant bringing the outdoors in. Biscuits are our must order each time we go. Flatbread was a little dry but everything else we had was great.
I have been a regular and food & service is consistently excellent...
