The Proud Bird is a terrific restaurant savory food, great cocktails, and an old-LA ambience just two miles from LAX. Life-size replicas of World War II era fighters grace the parking lot and outdoor seating area. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We had a great time, they even gave us a private room, we loved that because we didn't ask for it. the waiter Raphael was the BEST! I thank The Proud Bird for a memorable birthday!

For the first time in a long while, my family got together for Christmas brunch at the Proud Bird. We had been going other places or doing it at home. It had been almost 5 years. Everything was just as expected, good plentiful food in a nice environment, at a decent price. Service was attentive and of course the view of the planes landing at LAX, plus all the historical planes on display including the Tuskegee Airman plane and monument were interesting. My only complaint is that it was a bit cold in the restaurant and I had to keep my coat on. Loved the middle stand where they had turkey dinner options as part of the brunch. the waffles were good as I remember and the cappucino was as fantastic as I remember. We were not rushed to eat and leave, I think we stayed about 2 hours. The server preparing the omelets was polite and fast and they were cooked perfectly. Great fruit, the strawberries were very sweet and plentiful. Plenty of room for seniors with walkers and canes to maneuver. My dad was appreciative of that. We had a good time at a great price.

Great buffet lunch for holiday parties or for working lunch. If you are doing working lunch there are tables that are quiet and removed from the crowds. If you are celebrating there are tables that can accommodate groups or just 1-2 people. Food is amazing and buffet lunch is very reasonable price with a variety of choices to fit any type of diet (vegan, vegetarian, beef, fish, chicken, etc.) with awesome desert table.

Some mixed reviews so was not sure what to expect but enjoyed all of our meals, loved the kitschy concept, and service was great.

My husband had never been to The Proud Bird and asked that we go there for his 60th birthday with friends and family. We were SO disappointed. Service was extremely slow even though it was during the week, early, and not crowded. The soup was cold - twice! The margaritas were undrinkable and the food was average at best.

We will NOT be going back. Bummer!

My mother loves the prime rib at The Proud Bird almost more than Larrey's, not to mention its less expensive. You can get a full Prime Rip meal at The Proud Bird for $28. Located near LAX you will find all kinds of Flight Historical pictures around and throughout the venue. The tuskegee airmen and amelia airheart are some of the famous flight figures you will see and read short clips of their importance. Also while dining you can view the vintage aircraft outside as well as listen in on real time LAX air traffic operations. Although it is a popular place among seniors, don't let that stop you young adults.
