Good staff. Great salad bar. Nice beer list
Sunday brunch has lots of selections, the salad bar is always great. Reasonable price when it's not on a holiday. Good service.
Very good salad bar. Seated quickly. Parking is difficult, even though restaurant was not full. Chef needs to improve his plating technique.
Very enjoyable. Service was great food was great. Plenty of food. Great time
We were a large party celebrating 14 year old twins birthday. Fun atmosphere great time had by all!!!
Fajita meat came out very dry and unappealing; Swiss steak and potatoes had very little flavoring. Chicken sliders were excellent though.
Excellent extensive fresh salad bar. Great menu selection and hot food served quickly. Generous portions. Attentive staff. Fun atmosphere. Never disappoints!
We love this place. Eat here once a month.
Met at the Prospectors for a Business dinner, price was reasonable, service was good, food was good, Salad bar was great! thanks!
Loved it here
Had a luncheon for a group of twelve. Made the reservation on line requesting the saloon for our group if it was available. Everything was ready in the saloon when we arrived. Everyone was pleased with their entrees. Two peopled raved about the spareribs. The server was very accommodating and attentive .
Food was piping hot and burgers were delicious.
Waitress was very friendly and accommodating.
Had a reservation from Open Table and were seated right on time.
Thank you Prospectors!
Thus far, I have always had great service from the waitresses/ waiters. This last experience was a bit unpleasant. However, I will return.
Ample portions of tasty food. Nice salad bar and delicious rolls! Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Went there with my father who was visiting. We order drinks and appetizers before we ordered dinner. They brought out our meals and never brought our appetizers until we mentioned we never recieved them. All of our dinners had something wrong with them. Then after we were finished we asked for our check and waited over 25 minutes for her to bring it, not to mention it was 5:30 on a saturday and it was not even crowded. Usually we get good service their but I probably won’t be going back. Extremely dissappointed!
Great food, lots of choices. Awesome rolls before dinner. Ate on the deck which is noisier than inside.
Service was a little slow, but they were busy. Ribs were too dry so I was disappointed since they were always perfect in the past. Drinks were only so so. I would still recommend to others. Maybe we just hit a bad night.
Best salad bar in South Jersey
Server was prompt, but absolutely no personality. Took order, served food asked if we wanted dessert, but other than that - no conversation at all. Refilled my tea, but never said anything when he did it. Guess I'm just used to a little more conversation from servers. Food was ok. Had the ribs and the chicken pie. Ribs were ok - nothing to rave about - wouldn't order them again. tried the chicken pie for something different. Again, it was ok but those frozen Marie Callendar pies at the grocery store are better. This one was huge - but full of potatoes and it lacked flavor. The place was full so I would imagine that most people like it here - it just wasn't for us and we do like Texas Road House so it wasn't the style of restaurant. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things.
our second time there. we travel from ohio to the monster mania con in cherry hill. discovered you last year and came back. I was disappointed in the service. our server did not refill our drinks on a timely manner. when I paid the bill, which was 49.03, I gave 60.03. change should have been 11.00. I received only a 10 dollar bill. so I only left her a 5. 10%
This restaurant was just OK. Nothing special. The food was OK. My French fries were warm at best. It was loud and we had a hard time hearing each other. Wouldn't go back.
We’ve been to Prospectors’ for year but this time was the most memorable one. Our server was so attentive to us and our autistic child which made our dinner experience easier. Our meals were at the right temperature and the right flavors: there were no leftovers! Their table bread is the best we ever had. You need to go and experience it and see what I mean. I recommend it for family get-togethers but on Thursday nights, go as a couple and try their club as well, so much fun learning how to line-dance!
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Have not been there for several years, but it was my friends birthday, and he wanted a big steak. Food and service were fine, salad bar is awesome, but the place is out dated and needs a BIG remodel.
Happy hour...we frequent several places in the area and wanted to try Prospectors to see what they had to offer.....stale peanuts on the bar! I told the bar tender they were stale, she responded--yes, she knows, but they don't(management) do anything about it. They say the brunch on Sunday is nice, but the last time I tried that--the toaster was broken and they ran out of several items on the buffet.
So this would not be one of my favorite places to return to dine until they decide to spruce it up and take the drab out of the "tired looking" place! Maybe they need new management as well as a remodel.
We keep coming back each month
I have been dining at Prospector's since moving to Mt. Laurel in 1991. I have a lunch group of 10 or 12 who gather once a month and when it is my turn to host (once a year) I have chosen Prospector's 3 times. I was there for lunch on Friday, August 3, and for dinner on Monday, August 6. I expect to be there for dinner this coming Sunday, August 12.
Now about the August 6 dinner. My friends ordered a filet rare and a rack of ribs, both of which were very satisfactory. It is the first time they have been to Prospector's, but certainly not the last. They thanked me over and over for my choice of restaurants.
I ordered an end cut prime rib, which is what I usually order. I had to cut through the fat to get to the meat. When the server asked how everything was, I initially said ok. My friends said that I should have mentioned the problem, but I didn't want to upset her. However, within a few minutes after that, a man came over and asked the same question - and I told him the problem. He indicated that when one orders an end cut, it should be expected to be fatty. He then offered to exchange the end cut for a center piece, to which I reluctantly agreed. However, the piece returned was the same one I had sent back for exchange, minus the end part but the fat still remained.
I have ordered end cuts of prime rib many times in various restaurants, and have never had one containing so much fat. Although I am reluctant to try again, I may do so this Sunday.
Food was cold, lacked flavor. Not an enjoyable experience.
Service and food
My daughter chose this restaurant to have her BELATED birthday lunch/dinner at, so her father
and I traveled from Dallas Pennsylvania to celebrate with her and we were NOT disappointed.
Her dad and I had the BRUNCH which was very, very, good and our daughter had the pulled pork
which she absolutely loves....Our visit went well and we will probably return at some point in time.
we went for the brunch-was not what we expected--food was cold.
Our open table reservation was for 6:15 of which we checked in at 6:10p. At 6:40 we were still waiting for our table of which somehow or another they gave our table to another party. It was disappointing having to wait after making a reservation. And making a reservation purposely with 2 smaller kids that were already tired.
We have a large family we were able to be seated right away. The waitress was fantastic. The portions were large and everyone took food home with them. The food was delicious and the salad bar was fresh and a large selection to choose from
Delicious lunches appetizers and dinners. Very nice patio with fireplace. 2 bars...outside and in. Good ribs, Prime Rib!
WARNING AVOID THE BRUNCH! Bad in every way. Crowded slow cold...would dine there anytime but they couldn’t pay me to go to their brunch! Sorry.
Good food Excellent Service
We got together with friends for dinner. The food was good and the server was very accommodating. My husband and I frequent the Prospector's often for lunch also. Love the salad bar.
Was disappointed they told me I couldn’t use my Open Table reward. They said the bill was larger than the reward so it would be declined. I’m sure there must be a way to apply the reward amount to the check.
Service was great although we felt we were being rushed.
Took my boyfriend for his birthday. Food was amazing, came very quickly! Service was great. Jasmine wasn't even our waitress and she offered to get us take home containers because our food came so quickly that we were still working on our soups. Our waiter, Brandon, was friendly, quick and on the ball. Very happy with the visit and will definitely be back.
Very good, not much of a wait time for Sunday Brunch time around 11:30am
Excellent food. Great service
I made reservations on line with no problem and requested a round table for 6 people, if possible. We arrived at 6:00 and were seated at a round table. We had a great time, with great service and great food. We will definitely be back for our "Wednesday dinners" with our group of friends.
