The food was so delicious!! I’ve never had a better organize chicken salad. Our communication with our waiter was par excellence.
It was perfect for our celebration, accomadating five at a comfortsble table.
The service and food were excellent as always. We were celebrating two birthdays and we had the most wonderful time. Johnathan, the sommelier was excellent at explaining choices for champagne and Gwendolyn, our server was patient and informative with our questions.

They were very accommodating and friendly! We arrived earlier than our reservation and they were happy to seat us. We were celebrating a birthday and the card and welcome/acknowledgement of the bday was really appreciated!!
This dinner was for a birthday celebration for my friend and myself. We did not like our experience or our service with the restaurant.
We had an EXTREMELY rude waiter. He rushed us with the order (Told us to take a photo of the menu to have my friend who was arriving 15 min after the group sat down so she can tell us her order).
Waiter got our drink order mixed up and charged us for his mistake. When we told him it was charged incorrectly on our bill, he replied by saying “it’s a $2 dollar difference.” It’s the principle that he doesn’t over charge us for something we didn’t order and no need to give us the attitude for something he did incorrectly.
When we got our credit card receipts he tells us that gratuity wasn’t added, but when we calculated the amount it included the tip (we gave 15% despite his rudeness throughout the night). So one of my friends tells him the gratuity was added, he give my friend an attitude saying that someone told him it wasn’t added and walks away. We all left with a bad taste because the experience and service was horrible.
At the end, we asked to talk to the manager to give the feedback. He just apologized and said he will look into it. There was no empathy on his part. I will NOT be returning to this place again!

I like the atmosphere and food at Prospect. The Wine Book is well curated with varietals and price points that fit a varied audience....no one should feel left out.
What else can you say about these pros they put the capital H in Hospitality and know how to make their guests Happy. Well done !

From the (AMAZING) food, to the service and ambiance it was perfect! Definitely will be our go to spot when we’re in the area from now on! I would absolutely recommend!
The first few times I've been to Prospect, I went there for drinks and ended up ordering various apetizers. Their cocktails were always fantastic and food was delicious. However, the last, most recent time I've been there, I went for dinner, not just for drinks. Food was very delicious and decadent. They were very pricey but the flavors were amazing as well as the presentation. The drinks on the other hand, were mediocre. They lacked the originality and depth of the drinks I've had during my previous visits. By drinks I mean cocktails. Perhaps the cocktails were better during one season vs. another.
I'd recommend that you go during their Happy Hours. I remember one of my favorite drinks there was from one of their Happy Hours. That way, you can try both their food and drinks at less the price.

Amazing. I’ve put off a visit to Prospect for years now and ... now Im bummed. As a long-time foodie/chef i wasn’t expecting to be wowed. But a friend treated and everything was spot on. Crab salad was lovely and seasonally spot on, (though, admittedly there weren’t enough hearts of palm); scallops - the best sushi-grade Ever-in a delightful sauce and refreshing accompaniments, pacific swordfish in the perfect amount of red wine sauce and parsnips to sweeten the dish up! Yum! Do NOT miss the fries. Thick-crispy outside potato-y inside. Lovely service with knowledge and a smile. I look forward to returning

French Onion Dip appetizer was something you can buy out of a can. The Italian White Truffles and Potato Gnocchi was very bland. Could not tell there were any truffles and the gnocchi was very doughy.
Entree's were done well however and service was decent. Would not recommend the desserts. They must of had an off night as they were forgettable.
Food is excellent but most of the time, the bread is not serve automatically. I have to ask for bread all the time and it takes a while for the server to bring it to the table. I don't know if this is the policy to ask for bread but I just want to hear from the server if a customer would a bread before their orders and drinks are serve. At least we have an option if we want it or not.
Service was much slower than normal.
Always an enjoyable evening -- so close to the Embarcadero -- makes for a nice walk after dinner also
