Biggest complaint was we we almost an hour between appetizers and mains. One of the mains (gnocchi) was too salty we didn’t eat more than a bite. The waiter was kind enough to take the dish off the bill after seeing an untouched dish.

We went to Prospect to celebrate an anniversary and an engagement. We had such a fabulous evening. The staff was incredible and the food outstanding! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We always live Prospect and this evening we came in to celebrate our anniversary with our daughters. They were busy due to Dreamforce, but service and food was excellent. We look forward to dining with you again.

We met friends from NY and TX for an anniversary dinner. The duck, halibut, and pork chopwere excellent, and salads and starters were diverse and tasty. Service, including the wine steward, was courteous and effiicient. We hope to return. Would have liked to have a less noisy background however

The restaurant was fantastic with the service. I made a request to have a seat in quiet place since I had a guest with hard hearing. They prepared 3 selections which were all perfect! We really enjoyed the time there with less disturbance.

I don't typically write restaurant reviews and don't complaint when things aren't perfect, but feel one is necessary here. First things first--the food, service, atmosphere, cocktails, etc., were fine. However, the portions were shockingly small, particularly relative to prices. I took a look at the menu when booking -- standard high San Francisco prices. Fine. But... the heirloom tomato salad, $21, had one narrow slice of tomato and few small chunks, along with a piece of burrata, the octopus appetizer (can't recall the price--about $20+)--three very small pieces, and most absurd--the roasted duck breast--$38 for literally one quarter-inch slice of duck. The only thing more or less in line was an appetizer size duck cacio e pepe for $26--small portion but not so disproportionate to what one expects in SF or other big city these days. I hate saying negative things about what otherwise is a decent and nice restaurant but it was so ridiculous we're still laughing about it.

Such a great meal last night at Prospect. Love how competent and warm the staff is. The food was superb, as always. Standouts were: the duck liver mousse, the scallops with the stuffed squash blossom, the rib eye steak dish. Love this dining room. Lively, but the noise level is never intrusive.

The perfect everything! Staff were attentive w/out being overbearing. Our "wine guy" was delightful. The food was delicious, scallops cooked to perfection, and the fries... piping hot, crispy and soft and the PERFECT size! Which to me is the mark of a great restaraunt.

The food & cocktails @ Prospect never disappoints, specially the halibut entree and Queen's Bless! It was a lively dinner crowd and it was hard to hear our waiter who was very soft-spoken and seemed somewhat nervous (perhaps he was new to the role).

The food was good but the service was okay. I felt like our waiter was trying to upsell us the entire time plus it felt like they were rushing us to order. It was definitely busy so that could be why but it felt very rushed (however it took a while to get our food). We used to go to Propsect quite frequently however the portions got too small and the menu is not like it was before

Entree portions have shrunk and prices are up...menu is limited..they did not have the Fried chicken except on Friday. Used to be a great place for drinks appetizers dinners. But post COVID not as attractive. Their French fries are still excellent

We requested seating in the booth which is very comfortable and away from the bar noise. We had a wonderful waitress who was extremely attentive and helpful with the choices that we made. We ordered the halibut and the fried chicken special. Every thing was very good with the exception of the sauce that accompanied the chicken. It was way too spicy and not needed for the dish. We were intrigued by the new pastry chef's new additions and tried her rendition of the chocolate cake and her " take on the "strawberry short cake" dessert. We were not disappointed. The meal was pricey but well worth it. We would definitely return and recommend Prospect to others.

Cocktails were outstanding - favorite dishes were the octopus and chorizo appetizer, the fries, and the beef tartare; the duck was also very good. Service was warm, friendly, slow from time to time -- but we were happy to linger. Beautiful room.

We celebrated a family graduation at Prospect and the food was divine. Six of us shared numerous dishes -- and everything was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the scallop, the octopus and burrata broccoli rabe. And we ordered 2nds of the Hokkaido Milk Bread. Service was great. Go here!

Salads and share plates were excellent. Desserts were a bit disappointing. Service was uneven as people were served dishes they did not order and one member of the party had to wait for his salad for several minutes after everyone else had been served -- it was if the waiter had forgotten his order.
