Prosecco, in the heart of the River North Gallery District, is a chic, yet welcoming restaurant serving comfort foods from all 20 regions of Italy and Chicago's largest selection of sparkling wine.
The decor, inspired by the faded, gilded beauty of Venice, is filled with silk damask drapes, carved wood chandeliers and gold-framed artwork. The coup de grace is the 35' long bar, hand burnished to resemble a piece of antique Venetian furniture. The bar serves Italian finger food and offers a wide selection of European spirits.
Enjoy classic comfort foods -- from house-made pasta to nightly beef, fish and game menu additions. Dine with the Chef at the Carpaccio bar, where a selection of fresh cured and smoked meats and the freshest fish, are sliced nightly.
Prices are moderate, but those wishing to indulge in an evening of culinary mischief will not be disappointed!

Prosecco Ratings and Reviews
My boyfriend and I chose Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. We were not disappointed. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess with a very cheery 'Happy Anniversary!' We even received menus that said 'Anniversary' on the top. Daniel was our server and he was wonderful. From arrival to the wine to the food, I do not have a bad thing to say about our experience. 10/10 would recommend :)
Loved it - absolute gem of River North. We drove in from the suburbs for a date night in the city. Well worth the drive. Staff is unbelievably friendly and food was excellent. The filet was the best I've had so far in the city. Can't wait to go back...Prosecco is a MUST TRY if you've never been here!
Went for a friends birthday and there was a special menu prepared for her which she loved. We opened dinner with a toast of prosecco which we all loved! It was a really special treat for the birthday girl. I will definitely be back. Each appetizer and menu item we tried was delicious!
the restaurant week menu was awesome. however, was disappointed not the attendance was so low. maybe because it was Monday & maybe because it was right after the super bowl celebration, but I was disappointed to see only 2 other dining tables enjoying their meals.
I dined at Prosecco for my partner's birthday and be both selected items from the the restaurant week menu. The food and atmosphere were wonderful. Service was spot on.
The complementary "glass" of prosecco was a ridiculously small pour. Honestly, if you're going to offer a free glass of prosecceo at least fill the glass. Yes, it seems stupid to complain about, but it was rather cheap. It wasn't like we didn't order additional better Prosecco and mixed drinks.
Went for restaurant week with a friend. The food was spectacular, everything was savory and cooked to perfection. The staff there was very attentive when my friend and I were talking too much and were unready to order our food after the waitress checked in multiple times. The food also came out quickly and our water cups never became empty. A perfect place to go on a date or go with friends for a special occasion.
This is are go to restaurant after hard day. The place is nice and the food is very pleasing to the palette.
The salad called Insalata Della Casa for Roc was order me one more . Her secondi was orecchiette tartufate .
The squash soup in a bowel was very warming on the cold Winter weather of 22F. The secondi was salmon with lentils mixed with spinach. This can only be eaten very slow and make sure to save some for the next day.
The tiramisu for dessert was one of the best!
Burrata cheese with poached pears lightly drizzled with balsamic vinegar
This was one of the worlds pleasing porch pairs one could eat along with the Barada cheese, don't eat it all, save some to take some home so that you can savor the flavor another day without having to buy a whole new meal.
Daniel was the waiter and the manager visited our table many time through the evening.
Sam what just great.... Yesssssssss Sam is the manager.
The have coat check at the door.
One of our ongoing beautiful restaurants as one of our great occasions was in 2014 as we celebrated our marriage here. We went this week as we go twice a year- not just the food is excellent, the overall service is beautiful. One of our favorites who services us, including our wedding, is Sam. When you go, ask for Sam- the experience, the service, the fun is just beautiful overall. Have a great time and enjoy the beauty of their menu and excellent service.
Prosecco NEVER fails to exceed my expectations. From the phenomenal food to the graciousness of the wait staff, this is one of my favorite places to eat in Chicago. If you're looking for a fantastic meal, look no further than Prosecco. It's a guaranteed home run. Oh, and be sure to try the Limoncello... Boo-yah!!! You can thank me later...
This is by far, the most outstanding Italian meal I've had. Enough said - you are missing out if you do not come here. The bolognese is out of this world, wine list is expansive, and the carpaccio perfect. Service was excellent, sit by the kitchen if you can - the chef commentary will keep you laughing all night long.
Completely disappointing. Dined on New Years Eve and even allowing for the holiday, it was truly bad. Waiter discussed the minimum charge per person during literally every stop at the table, including providing mid-meal subtotals, despite being told repeatedly we understood the policy. It was frustrating and annoying. The food was bland and cocktails mediocre. Only saving grace was the beautiful room. Won’t return. There are oodles of other great spots to enjoy.
