The decor, inspired by the faded, gilded beauty of Venice, is filled with silk damask drapes, carved wood chandeliers and gold-framed artwork. The coup de grace is the 35' long bar, hand burnished to resemble a piece of antique Venetian furniture. The bar serves Italian finger food and offers a wide selection of European spirits.
Enjoy classic comfort foods -- from house-made pasta to nightly beef, fish and game menu additions. Dine with the Chef at the Carpaccio bar, where a selection of fresh cured and smoked meats and the freshest fish, are sliced nightly.
Prices are moderate, but those wishing to indulge in an evening of culinary mischief will not be disappointed!
Very well done! Fantastic food , ambience and value. Great spot for foodies . Plan ahead on this one!
Service was slow and price was high for a meal that wasn’t memorable
Our favorite place for ambience, service, and the best italian food
The restaurNt is pretty with a large
Food was excellent and overall the experience was good enough to go back again.
was disappointed by the experience. the appetizers were fine but the main courses were lacking.
Waited near 40 min past reservation time to be seated. Noise/music sound level very high even in back room with fewer people and no loud clientele—unable to discuss menu with server without us all needing to repeat and yell. They acknowledged this actually as a constant issue. Not ‘energetic’...just really inappropriately too loud, I.e. is it a restaurant with fine dining, or a loud bar with food???. (The new decor/renovations lacks appropriate sound diminishing design??). Food portions compared to prior menu presentations are much less. Tables are cleaned with irritant chemical ?lemon scented wipes and the smell persists on table and perfuses the room, overwhelming any pleasant food aromas. This observation was made by others also.
Overall, the prior wonderful aspects of this venue have been lost, and the quality of the ambiance, menu and food has significantly diminished. Will no longer recommend.
Our first time visit was wonderful. My partner and I celebrated our 3yr anniversary and Prosecco was highly recommended by several friends. The service, starting with the host, the server and the bus staff was wonderful, very attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious: the grilled octopus, the avocado with lobster, the double pork chop, the cheesecake. All excellent. The only disappointment was the Caesar salad which was dry and somewhat tasteless. We appreciated the “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate on the cheesecake plate! A very thoughtful touch. Thanks for making our special day extra special and memorable!
Birthday celebration for my son. Lovely experience and terrific food...Thank you!!!
Wouldn’t come back or recommend this place. I got a call from the restaurant less than a few hours of my reservation, saying they have blocked out the time and it’s not available anymore, I was very upset, then she said she could keep the reservation. When I went to the restaurant, the lady at the front assisted two parties behind me, not sure she’s anti Asian or what. I was very nice and respectful, I guess people were educated in different ways. Food is very average, total failure of this restaurant week experience. And I didn’t receive my 100 points. Absolutely disappointing.
We had a fabulous time! Our wait person was great, and all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our time there!
Excellent food and wine!
Great remodel of the space. Fabulous service, wine & homemade pasta. Great location.
Had an amazing anniversary dinner at Prosecco. The seafood risotto was AMAZING. Highly recommend
Very nice place, really good food - service was excellent, but both our appetizer and entrees were slow to arrive.
We visited Chicago for my 50th birthday. Decided to try Prosecco. What a great decision! The food was amazing! Service was even better! And the ambience was incredible!
It was excellent from start to finish! Food was outstanding.
We went for an anniversary dinner this year. The food was good and the staff was incredibly friendly! We definitely plan on going again and would recommend it to others :)
Fantastic service from start to end. The ambiance was really nice and welcoming. The food was amazing.
We had a delightful meal with special service for our Anniversary. A great place with great staff
My boyfriend and I chose Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. We were not disappointed. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess with a very cheery 'Happy Anniversary!' We even received menus that said 'Anniversary' on the top. Daniel was our server and he was wonderful. From arrival to the wine to the food, I do not have a bad thing to say about our experience. 10/10 would recommend :)
Service bar apps diner well above others
The food was absolutely delicious and the waiter we had was wonderful; he made sure we had everything we needed. Although the food took a little long to get to us, it was worth the wait. Definitely will be going back.
We came for Valentine's Day dinner & had a very poor experience. Nothing made us feel special. Service was ubrupt, impersonal & a tad rude. Food came out wrong for the two tables next to us & our food was sub par. There were all these rules & regulations for the night which none were followed. It just solidified the reason we don't go out on Valentine's Day. Mediocre at best. They were not at all prepared for the night. Everything took very long to come out & it was a mad house. Not relaxing at all. A very disappointing Valentine's.
Dry chicken piccatta.
And the restaurant was almost empty.
I wasn't impressed.
Loved it - absolute gem of River North. We drove in from the suburbs for a date night in the city. Well worth the drive. Staff is unbelievably friendly and food was excellent. The filet was the best I've had so far in the city. Can't wait to go back...Prosecco is a MUST TRY if you've never been here!
I have been to Prosecco on a few different occasions and have always enjoyed my meal. The restaurant is pretty slow during lunch and unfortunately so is the service.
Wonderful restaurant for a romantic dinner. My husband had the veal and I had the striped bass. Both were great. For appitizer we split the octupus that was a little over grilled. But otherwise service was great and over all wonderful.
Excellent service and great food. The meatball was delicious! It is definitely a special occasion and romantic restaurant.
Excellent food and service. The wine list is extensive.
Went for a friends birthday and there was a special menu prepared for her which she loved. We opened dinner with a toast of prosecco which we all loved! It was a really special treat for the birthday girl. I will definitely be back. Each appetizer and menu item we tried was delicious!
Prosecco exceeded every expectation! We went for a girls night out to catch up and eat good food. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, the food was phenomenal, and the Prosecco kept in flowing. We had so much fun and can’t wait air to go back!
Beautiful ambiance, amazing food and our absolute favorite place to celebrate. We love Prosecco!
the restaurant week menu was awesome. however, was disappointed not the attendance was so low. maybe because it was Monday & maybe because it was right after the super bowl celebration, but I was disappointed to see only 2 other dining tables enjoying their meals.
I dined at Prosecco for my partner's birthday and be both selected items from the the restaurant week menu. The food and atmosphere were wonderful. Service was spot on.
The complementary "glass" of prosecco was a ridiculously small pour. Honestly, if you're going to offer a free glass of prosecceo at least fill the glass. Yes, it seems stupid to complain about, but it was rather cheap. It wasn't like we didn't order additional better Prosecco and mixed drinks.
Went for restaurant week with a friend. The food was spectacular, everything was savory and cooked to perfection. The staff there was very attentive when my friend and I were talking too much and were unready to order our food after the waitress checked in multiple times. The food also came out quickly and our water cups never became empty. A perfect place to go on a date or go with friends for a special occasion.
This is are go to restaurant after hard day. The place is nice and the food is very pleasing to the palette.
The salad called Insalata Della Casa for Roc was order me one more . Her secondi was orecchiette tartufate .
The squash soup in a bowel was very warming on the cold Winter weather of 22F. The secondi was salmon with lentils mixed with spinach. This can only be eaten very slow and make sure to save some for the next day.
The tiramisu for dessert was one of the best!
Burrata cheese with poached pears lightly drizzled with balsamic vinegar
This was one of the worlds pleasing porch pairs one could eat along with the Barada cheese, don't eat it all, save some to take some home so that you can savor the flavor another day without having to buy a whole new meal.
Daniel was the waiter and the manager visited our table many time through the evening.
Sam what just great.... Yesssssssss Sam is the manager.
The have coat check at the door.
Very nice. Ambience was romantic, the staff was outstanding and attentive and the food was outstanding...
Restaurant Week gem! The lunch menu was excellent and the food was delicious! The service was impeccable. And, the Prosecco was excellent. Nice place for celebrating my goid friend's birthday!
