Proof at The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
This was our first time to Proof. The food was delicious, and the service was very good. We asked to be moved from our first table as we were close to the outdoor seating, and it was cold. We were moved to a very nice table and enjoyed our food and the evening. The music was nice. We would return.
Overall this restaurant is a dud for dinner. A few things made the experience a bad one: milkshakes, cocktails and menu. Being "known for our milkshakes" is beyond us. Ice cream tasted HORRIBLE! We ordered a milkshake and two scoops of ice cream hoping to indulge but ended up leaving it all uneaten. Same with the cocktails. We're big craft cocktail fans and these cocktails sounded like they'd taste amazing yet they were awful. The waitress suggested I try one of her favorites and if I didn't like it she'd get a different one. I told her it was not good and moved on to try her second suggestion... yet, she still charged us for the first $15 drink?! The second drink was also awful and didn't taste anything like it's description; it's hard to mess up a mule. Actually, most of the food was missing the mark and extremely overpriced for what it is. We had amazing food while in Scottsdale. This is not one of those places. Don't bother.
Are there and ordered to go. The take out order was not complete and had to call them, placed on hold for 5 my muted after I informed them of the problem.
Food was good but even for a Four Seasons, very expensive for casual restaurant, ala-cart ribs was $34.00 with no sides.
Our first time visiting AZ and we wanted outdoor seating. This was perfect! Gorgeous scenery and the staff treated us to a little dessert for our anniversary. Absolutely a memorable dining experience. I recommend getting there early enough to watch the sun set over the mountains.
We're locals and just wanted a casual dinner so we drove up to Proof because we had never been before. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and BBQ Babe on a Bun. Yum!! The atmosphere is lively and fun. If you go on Friday night you may hear Jared Blackstone play everything under the sun with great success. The patio/views are amazing. A must visit!
This was our first visit to PROOF. I am sure that it won't be our last. The whole experience is what a great menu and casual but comfortable dining is all about. Super wait staff that are very observant but not at all pushy. Super waitress that set the stage for a great experience. Food was perfectly prepared and served. Will make this a regular stop.
A very disappointing meal. Food and service were mediocre at best. They charge a ridiculous amount for cocktails -- $20 for a martini! If you're a resort guest you are pretty much stuck, but locals (like me) should never even think about going here for dinner. I know that I never will again!
We travel to this particular four seasons every year, to have a staycation prior to my daughter starting school. Every year, we go to this restaurant for the nights we stay there. My daughter describes it is one of the nicest restaurant she has been to, and she loves their kids menu, despite being a very picky eater. Myself, I love their menu, the service, the cocktails, and they have really never disappointed on any of their menu choices. of all the four seasons I have stayed in, both in the US, and internationally, I would rank this restaurant as one of the best that I have been to not only in a high-end hotel, but in general.
We used to love this place for the great menu and incredible scenery. The scenery still does not disappoint but the food has changed over the years and is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Gone are some of our old faves replaced by new menu items which is standard in restaurants but unfortunately they are not as good in our opinion. This past visit we were disappointed by the incredibly loud live musician too even though we were not seated anywhere near him. Will we be back? Maybe
First time there. Found them through internet search. Very open casual feel. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food items are creative and tasty. I ordered the Beer Can Chicken and it was very good but all I got was a leg and a wing. I may not have read the menu close enough to see which cuts of the chicken I was going to get. It was very tasty but seemed like not enough food and poor cuts of chicken. Other diners were very satisfied with their food and portions. They probably didn't appreciate me looking over at their plates to see if there would be anything left. They have a shuffleboard table in the middle of the restaurant. I love shuffleboard. Trouble was there were unsupervised kids using the table and so;icing the heavy (what are they called?) pieces down the table as hard as they could. I was afraid one was going to bounce off the table and hit me in the back of the head. Needless to say, I never did play.
We are locals and live here year round and often go to the Four Seasons and generally, we have had truly wonderful meals at Proof!
This visit was so disappointing. The server, although polite and was NOT the caliber one expects at a Four Seasons hotel. We ordered salads as a starter and sandwiches as the main entree. He brought them all at once, and then we Never saw him again until he asked if we wanted desert. We had to ask the bus-girl for more ice, more ice tea, and to clear our table.
The most disappointing fact is that the restaurant was almost empty - he was serving only 3 tables, yet he provided VERY poor service. Our experience was very disappointing and all because of a server who seemed to be checked out!
