    Food was delicious, service attentive. Really appreciated the way you accomodated our guest who was traveling in form out-of-town, with an unpredictable arrival time. Bar was noisy, but restaurant was calm and pleasant for our early dinner.

    Very unique space with an art museum to view. The food and service were excellent! Most importantly, the red wine was served at the appropriate temperature - sadly this is the exception rather than the norm at most restaurants…Proof on Main got it right!

    I love Proof on Main. I wanted to show my friends a nice and unique dining experience downtown. It delivered. I really enjoy the changing menu, the atmosphere and the service. Jimmy was great and appropriately attentive. It was a great night and I always know I will get that here.

    Food was disappointing. Glass in egg dish, French fries were cold & presentation of fritata was unappealing with pieces of romaine lettuce on top. Those who got the bison burger thought it was good.

    Proof on Main is generally a delightful experience. This time the food was just "okay" and they were out of buns for the bison burger. Not sure what was up with that. So probably wasn't worth the cost this time around. But that's not our usual experience. Our waitress Rosemary made up for it though. She was amazing! Patient, helpful and intensive. Staff is always great!

    Went to check out because a precious co worker started bartenders there, was pleasantly blown away. They were extremely busy but gauged our needs very quickly and easily, the food left nothing to be desired. If you have the opportunity to use the men's bathroom in the museum exhibit you must!

    Alot of noise coming from the kitchen. I was surprised at the size vs. cost of the 'family-style' side dishes. We ordered the potato, and it was one large potato for $12. I would have expected more food, since it was sold as family-style. Two of my party ordered the bison burger and requested medium and both were rare. For the price I was very disappointed.

    We dined here to treat an out of town guest to a night out for drinks and delicious food. Drinks were wonderful however our dinner was just average. The porkchop was the star of our selections. The pasta, chicken, cornbread, and potatoes were decent but not memorable. Probably the most disappointing dish were the carrots - almost raw but served well past charred. Hoping this was just an off night as we usually enjoy Proof very much.

    A perfect evening! Delicious food served in a unique and inviting atmosphere, with excellent service (Vyvian is terrific!) All the food was great, but the octopus and the rock shrimp risotto were the stars!

    The food was great. We had charred octopus, charred romaine salad, carrots, Berkshire pork chop, the 8oz sirloin, and peanut butter pie with bourbon ice cream and it was all delicious! My husband and I shared Everything and they even cut the pork chop and steak so we would have an easier time sharing those. The service was excellent from the hostess, waitstaff, and servers. There is a wonderful art museum connected to it that never closes. After dinner we visited and there was also a free concert happening in their lower level that we were able to enjoy. We had a very fun evening with fantastic food! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in town again.

    We had a lovely dinner out with friends. The cocktails were all very good an unique as well as the food. The mushroom appetizer was out of this world good. The server was so sweet and timely. The best part was the art gallery you got to walk through to go to the bathroom. Such a neat experience! We live about 2 hours away, but if we’re in Louisville again we’ll definitely be back!

    Highly rated by others but would not return. The server was not very attentive, and had to be requested to our table when mussels arrived that were almost raw. Most of the shells were barely open and the mussels were gelatinous. The cocktails were good, would not recommend keeping the rose sparkling wine from Portugal on the menu. The mushroom and cornbread appetizers were excellent but the rock shrimp risotto was not creamy like it should be. It almost seemed like risotto rice wasn’t used for it or it wasn’t cooked long enough. The other five people I dined with were not enthusiastic about their meals, either. Overall not impressed.

    Food was amazing!! Our server (Brittney) was awesome!! She assisted us in ordering everything we could split. Loved the atmosphere!! The art was wonderful….colorful!     The restaurant has a great ambiance and looks wonderful. The menu is creative and has a lot of fun offerings. Unfortunately, some of the dishes executions, leave a lot to be desired. The play on a Caesar salad is great, as is the blue cheese salad. The roast chicken had interesting flavors, but was unfortunately cooked to death, and was devoid of any moisture. This dish was awful. Cocktail menu is creative, but the cocktails themselves were just ok.

    Drinks were good. Food was okay. I had a salad which was way too salty. The mussels were pretty good and the corn bread was great. Definitely overpriced for the food quality. Service was very good.

    Our meal at Proof was more than that…it was an experience. From the time we entered and were met by the host team, we were treated with warmth and professionalism. The sommelier, Mark, stopped by our table to recommend wine pairing with our meal. His knowledge was spot on and his guidance provided us with the perfect addition to our meal. Our server,Taylor, made our dining choices easy as she had ideas for every course. We could not have been more pleased with the experience. We had dined at Proof multiple times in previous years but had not been back for some time. We found the menu to be much more appealing to our taste than previously so kudos to the chef for hitting the mark on menu choices. We will definitely be back to this “gem” of a Louisville FOODIE scene. Can’t say enough good things about this and it a must DINING EXPERIENCE for anyone visiting as well. You will Not be disappointed.

    The waiters were cool and fun. The mushroom entre was supercalifragilistic… I will have to return to have it again.

    Not what it was years ago; but decent. Menu is short and disciplined with an American Food focus. Service was acceptable but not exceptional.
