We love Proof! The octopus is the best we have had anywhere. The pork chop was delicious. Our waiter couldn’t have been more helpful without being intrusive. We will definitely be back again.

The food was amazing- you truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The service was friendly and attentive. The cocktails were fantastic. For gin & tonic fans, MUST try the house made tonic water!

I am being generous with my review because I think the place has potential and the food might be good if it was freshly made- My cocktail, the tamarind, was watery and nondescript. Had neither enough tequila/mezcal nor spice/tamarind. I had a vegetable platter (after reading all the rave reviews) but it was cold when it arrived at my table (hardened greasy cheese & oil- gross) I mentioned to our waitress who took the dish back only to bring back another cold platter.

Great spot for brunch. Good menu but not extensive. Lots of bourbon. Art on the wall that makes it a unique experience. Service was great and friendly. Food was wonderful and the cinnamon bun was worth the calories. I have been several times and each time has been good. Sometimes just sitting at the bar for a drink and a snack or having a good meal. Recommended!

Honestly, I don't think it is a restaurant problem I think it's a Louisville problem. Service at restaurants is terrible. The service was slow, the servicer was attempting to be funny and it wasn't taken as funny. The food was very good, but not outstanding.

Fine food, fine atmosphere, great cocktails, HORRENDOUS service.

One of my favorite restaurants. But I’ve never had such a bad experience from a service stand point. Our waitress was short, dismissive, and non attentive. Felt like there was a prevailing attitude from staff in the restaurant of entitlement and distaste for customers.

I will not be returning anytime soon.

An outstanding experience! From the careful Covid protocol to the exemplary service and truly amazing cuisine, one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Highly recommended.

This is definitely not kid friendly although they have a kids menu. We felt like our server was annoyed we were even there. Food was okay. It’s in a hotel. Would not return.

The meal was delicious and the service was great. Social distancing and screening in place so we felt safe and were extremely satisfied!

Server was rude, uninterested, and hard to hear. We were there for a birthday celebration, but this was totally ignored. Food was decent.

What a great experience and it was my partner’s first time and he agrees that Proof is excellent. Our server and our food were wonderful,there isn’t one reason for not coming to this amazing restaurant.

This *had been our first trip to Louisville, and part of a birthday/date weekend, which was lovely since we haven't made it out of our house, let alone out of town a whole lot over the past year!

The food, service and ambience at Proof were beyond reproach and I can't say thank you enough for all of it. Our server (I want to say Brandon, for some reason, but it has been three weeks and I know that isn't correct) was kind, attentive, knowledgeable and happy to give an honest review when I was torn between several options - he did not steer me wrong! I had the mushroom risotto and my husband enjoyed the the salmon special that was offered that particular Friday evening - both were mouthwateringly delicious.

If by chance we ever find ourselves in Louisville again, we will absolutely return. If you're looking for a great dinner - just book it now.

Proof on Main felt like it was trying to be a boutique experience, but I found the Native American decor theme a little ham-handed. We read good things about Proof, so were expecting a really high caliber experience, but the food was overly salted and overpriced in our opinion. Service was friendly, but a little lackluster. I’d recommend trying somewhere else for a night out in Louisville.

Unique location and decor, and fantastic foot!

We were in town for my grandmother's funeral and Proof on Main was absolutely wonderful to us. They even gave us a little champagne toast at the end which we really appreciated. The bartender and host/bar area assistant were so sweet and fun! That carrot soup! Amazing!

We had been in Louisville for 10 days visiting/working at our daughter and son in laws place. Come Sunday we were ready to visit downtown and have breakfast. Oh my ... daughter mentioned Proof on Main..we had no idea what to expect...the food was masterful. Hash w brisket burnt ends...and the best cinnamon bun we've ever had...and we know buns.
We ended the meal w a shot of Pappy Van Winkle...omg...go ..the setting is eclectic posh...set in a museum/ hotel. These 2 California kids will be back next year..

One of the best places for cocktails in Louisville! When in town, we love to stop in for drinks and dinner.

The staff attentiveness and service was exceptional. We genuinely felt like they were excited to welcome and host us. If we lived in Louisville, we would be regulars. The atmosphere and art were so fun, staff added personal touches and conversation like we were old friends, and the food was phenomenal. We had the risotto and the porkchop and shared with each other, and knowing we wanted to do that, they even plated it for us that way without us requesting!

It's hard to find places like Proof and we told everyone we know hitting the bourbon trail, they need to make sure to have dinner there!

We have gone a couple of times. The ambience is great. Quirky and fun. I do not understand the staff wearing flannel shirts. To me it is dressier than that. The staff was less dressed than the cliental. The food was great, our waitress was great. One of my favourite downtown restaurants.

Great atmosphere and service. The main course presentations were well done and great wine selection.

based on other's recommendations we had higher expectations. the food was good, but not notable. our waitress seemed to be annoyed she was waiting on tables that night and phoned it in. can't see going back.

Overall was a good experience. Food did not impress me. Sides were served cold.
