   Elf food at very high prices. Very noisy. Decent service. Large and expensive bourbon menu. Overall disappointing. .

   The food is really disappointing. The octopus was so greasy and with so much oregano that I could barely taste it. The steak tartare didn’t even seem to be raw, tasted so bad. Worst old fashioned I’ve ever had. Even the bison burger was bland, and the fries made me miss Mc Donald’s. Can’t overstate it - really disappointing food. Even worse considering their price point.

   Don’t go during an “experience” - save your money and go during normal operating times.

   We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was Joey, and at first, he was perfect. He patiently answered all our questions and brought water and drinks right away. All the good things stopped there. If the menu says "bison burger," would you expect it to be made with bison? The mushroom appetizer was only 40% mushrooms. The bison burger turned out to be 50% bison and 50% ground beef. It tasted like a hamburger! Another person brought our food and we never saw Joey again until he brought the check we had to ask for. NO ONE checked on our food quality or if we were enjoying it. Very disappointed.

   Brunch was not impressive by any means. All around a bad experience from ambiance to service to food quality and presentation.

   Service was great but server didn’t allow a taste of wine before serving because it was screw top. She over poured wine as well. I am a sommelier….

    Proof never disappoints! We were so glad to be back in Louisville for a weekend and had to dine at our favorite restaurant in town. The risotto was off the charts and of course the charred octopus is a must have. Such a cool space and the decor is so wonderful. If it’s a special occasion or just a night out Proof is the place. Grab a cocktail and stroll the museum while you are there, you will be glad you did.
