Proof on Main will be offering a special Thanksgiving family style menu for $45-$50/person (price dependent on entree selected). A children's family style menu will be offered for $25/child.

Disappointing meal. Chicken was dry tasteless and overpriced. My friend had a spaghetti with tomatoes for $26. This place is all about the drinks but there are ALOT better places to eat in Louisville
Food, and ambience were AMAZING! Service was good - our server was very personable, professional and friendly. There were a couple of things upon meeting our guest, and it took awhile to get a cup of coffee, but neither of these would cause me to not return or not recommend. We had a great business luncheon with enjoyable food. Thanks!
My favorite place to dine when I am in Louisville, KY. Fresh ingredients, unique preparation and just all around yummy.
Excellent meal. Service was a little slow and I felt like you were not sure which wait person had our table. People on each side of use were seated after us and ordered drinks and meals before us. Once that was figured out the service was acceptable.

Excellent bourbon bar and restaurant to complement it. It’s eclectic without feeling too trendy and maintains an atmosphere elegant enough for a date night but also relaxing enough for a dinner with friends. The food is excellent (chicken liver mousse was one of the best appetizers we have ever had) and the service was exceptional. Alex, our sever, was super sweet and very helpful. She was also patient as we took some time to decide on dinner. The prices are a little high ($13 glass of wine is about the cheapest you can find) but the overall quality level was impressive. Also their bourbon bar had some nice private selection offerings and the best single cubed ice for rocks drinks.

We had a great experience at Proof on Main. Our server guided us to some great dishes and the bourbon list is extensive as well as reasonably priced. I know we will drop by on our next visit to Louisville.

My husband and I tried Proof on Main while visiting Louisville on vacation, we loved this place. From the decor, to the service and incredible food this place is a must! We ordered the Liver Pate, Octopus appetizer and shared the “Shrimp Boil” (not called that), all were spectacular. Of course, the cotton candy dessert was a sweet surprise as the end. Get there now!!

Put 2 of us at a tiny table when 4 tops were open everywhere. They never filled. Entrees came out way too fast. Apps came out with entree. Food was mediocre definitely for price. Won’t be back.
The hostess was pleasant and accommodating however from there the service was awkward, lacking, and disjointed. It took an exorbitant amount of time for drinks to be served, and even longer to be asked for our food orders - 4 different servers over the course of the meal, one clearly put in the dinner orders incorrectly, and one of our guests was served the wrong entree so we had to wait for what he actually ordered to be prepared and served while the rest of the party's food sat. Also when approaching us to take our orders, a man awkwardly just came up and asked without context if we "had any questions" - we didn't know he was meant to be our server or what was going on at first and he continued to be short and awkward about the questions we did ask, and suggested octopus when someone inquired about vegan options he would recommend. It's also disappointing that the only vegan option for desert is a bowl of berries with bits of mold on them. For the price point and hype I do not recommend taking your guests to Proof.

I like Proof a lot, but they were clearly having an off day. Kitchen couldn't handle the crowd and waiting almost an hour for our food when we had let our server know we had theater tickets. Not her fault, but really disappointing that they weren't better prepared to handle the crowd.
Sunday brunch was overall very nice but front of house staff had issues today. No one was bussing tables so hostess had to before she could sit the crowd at the door who all had 1115 reservations. Waited a good 20 min to be seated. Took 30 more to get our food which was very good. Then we didn’t see our waitress for 15-20 min after she dropped off check had no idea where she went so long.
Would probably try somewhere else next time in town due to iffy service.
Small portions and one meal was cold but overall experience was delightful.

Neither my wife nor I could eat our entree. Her chicken was so dry, she couldn’t eat it and my catfish was spoiled and inedible.
We had a very nice dinner...great white gazpacho and salad and really good pasta and burger. The prices of the entrees are just too high, in my opinion. That makes this place a special treat instead of putting it in the regular rotation.

The shrimp and sausage dish featured seriously overcooked and tiny shrimp. The rest of the dish was just OK with the exception of the house sausage, which was quite good. My friend got the cauliflower entree, which looked very good.
Left a noisy place to go where one could have an actual conversation. Great food and service, conversation friendly.

Lunch the day before was great but there were big groups, private events and many conference attendees the next day. I’d go again since the food was outstanding the day before — I think they just got slammed when we ate there a second time. The manager was very accommodating when we had an issue with a dish and made things right immediately - that was wonderful service. And it’s the coolest inside - be sure to check out the hotel lobby.

We had the whipped ricotta for appetizer, which was a surprising treat for us. We would have eaten it without the toast, it was so good. The pork chop and the scallops were entrees ordered for our table, and both were very good with surprising flavor combos. Our waiter was knowledgeable, but not haughty. Drinks were great, and as a bourbon lover, it was all the more wonderful by the selection available. This was not an inexpensive meal, but it was worth the money.

Food and drink were both amazing.

The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. They help my wife select a bourbon she would enjoy. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive. She checked in at just the right times.
The food was a bit disappointing. My wife had the shrimp which came out greasy and dry. I went with the pork chop medium rare per chefs recommendation. The pork chop came out medium well and was over salted. The best part of the meal was the appetizers. We shared the beet salad and the white gazpacho. Both were solid dishes. The gazpacho was our favorite!

Proof on Main is a must visit for anyone visiting Louisville and of course the local regulars. We usually have several meals here every time we come to Louisville and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hospitality is always first rate and the food top notch.

Appetizers were good but small. Had the salmon with summer squash while my hot Asian temptress had the steak with carrots. It's was good but pricy. Deserts were honestly bad! Mint chocolate cake way too minty. My berry cobbler was dry and bland. Drinks all around were light on taste.

This is a restaurant I would recommend based on flavor profile! There were a few things on the menu that was unavailable at 9pm on a Friday night so I would suggest getting there early. The scallops were delicious and it is an eclectic setting that is fun and inviting. However the lack of menu items available, the waiter messing up the drink order, and the complimentary bread making it to our table about 45 minutes in leads me to rate this restaurant middle of the pack. Side note on the bread....when it finally arrived to the table on a cutting board with delicious butter the server grabbed it with his hand (no glove) and laid it on the table without a plate!🥴

It was absolutely horrible. Do not eat there! The food was way overpriced and not good, I went safe and had a new your strip and it had a big tendon in it and was coould the way I ordered it. The steak tartar was on top of some hot potato and it was so awful

This place is fabulous, fun decor, excellent service, etc. The food was really good, especially the whipped ricotta appetizer and also the Gazpacho. So good.
Our entrees were delicious.
However, the second cocktail that I ordered (which was recommended) was honestly the worst cocktail I have ever had in my entire life. I don't think I've ever sent back a drink before, but this was not worth even choking down. The lady at the table next to us overheard my friend and I talking and rightfully felt the need to chime in, saying she ordered it as well and also thought it was positively terrible. How that drink won an award is beyond me.
I very much look forward to going back, but from now on will be ordering traditional cocktails that I know are good.
