Prix Fixe Brasserie
Love this restaurant and have been here several times as the food and service are always so good.
I was a little disappointed with my last visit though, as we were left waiting a while for our table ( which we had booked and confirmed in advance).
There was no where to sit and wait, so we were left standing by the door for 15 minutes, with no real apology.
The service on the evening was not as good as it usually is either.
I hope our next visit is a little better as we do really like the restaurant.
The food was good but the service was slow and the waiters seemed disinterested and lacked personality
I've been going to Prix Fixe Brasserie for a long while. And while it is still good value and ok, I feel that both the quality of food and service have declined a bit over time.
Second visit to this Brasserie and as good if not better than the first. Loved the starters - French onion soup and duck liver - really good. Followed by a steak and Toulouse sausages - sounds simple yes - but well cooked good tucker, we could only manage one desert - cheesecake - more than enough for two and not at all bad - aperitifs and a splendid bottle of rose all for under a ton GOOD STUFF LOVE IT WILL BE BACK THANKS
We arrived 50 minutes early, indicated we did not want a pre-theatre meal and stayed for over three hours, without any hassle but looked after by friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent and good value for a West End restaurant. The fact that we had such a lovely evening with our friends was, in no small part, due to the restaurant experience itself. Definitely recommended and, with another West End trip coming up in a few weeks, we book again.
I eat here frequently, food is fantastic very reasonably priced and service is excellent. I highly recommend this place for a quick lunch in Soho
I cannot fault the service received on Saturday. They were so helpful and accommodating. We were delayed severely getting into London but a couple of calls to the restaurant to explain and let them know how we were getting on and they kept a table for us and managed to get us turned around really quickly so we didn’t miss the theatre. Food was very good, we had a steak which was perfectly cooked and v tender and the glass of red hugely appreciated. We’re going to go back and do it properly next time we’re in town!
We enjoyed ourselves so much the previous week that we booked to go again. Another very enjoyable experience. Excellent food and service at an amazing price. Thank you.
Good value for the money. Pleasant service We would go back again.
Have been several times before and food etc has been excellent...just not quite as good on this occasion. Will try again.
Loved the food and service here. The pre theatre menu was fantastic value. Highly recommended
Highly recommend! Delicious food and very nice service. We will be back!
One of the nicest places to eat in the centre of the city. Lawrence makes you welcome and his staff are brilliant. Great menu, really clean and always on point
We went to Prix Fixe for our New Year's Eve dinner and had a wonderful evening. The New Year's Eve menu was excellent and the staff attentive and friendly. We will surely come again :)
Excellent food. Lovely staff. Great atmosphere. We really enjoyed our experience
Meat was very tough and no one bothered to come and apologise except for the waitress. At least we should have been given a coffee as the meat was not edible.
Went to the Prix Fixe Brasserie with my wife after seeing a matinee performance of Translations at the Olivier theatre. We were both suitably impressed. We've tried numerous Brasseries in Central London this year and this was by far the best. The food was excellent. Loved the mussels escargot style! Great idea. Even the desserts, where a lot of places fall down, were great. It was also the best value for money we have found. We will definitely be back in 2020 and highly recommend
Excellent food at a reasonable price ,a good affordable wine-list with first class service and a good boisterous Bistro like atmosphere makes Prix Fixe a must for both locals and tourists alike.
This is the sister restaurant of Pierre Victoire (at the Oxford Street end of the same street) and does a similarly French-style set menu with the option to go a la carte for a small supplement. The setting is very pleasant and the options on the menu good (though I do not think as good as a PV's). Set menu is very reasonably priced and we were never rushed to finish or vacate our table. So it's a good centre of town option but I'd probably go for PV again in future.
Booked this Restaurant on the back of a recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed. The décor is very French and the food and service was 10/10 and very reasonably priced too. I had the steak which was incredibly tender as was my partners who ordered the duck. Will definitely be back again in the new year.
Great onion soup and beef Bourgogne!
Sweet staff and service
I have eaten here a few times and it's good for location, brilliant with food/wine and service.
Busy but understated restaurant with good quality food and wine. Not too much tinsel which is pleasing to me!
Mains were not served hot.
We had a simple request to exchange mash for dauphinouse on one dish, seemed pretty simple to me. Seemed the waitress thought otherwise.
Excellent food and staff, no charge for the two drinks due to my mother’s birthday, looking forward to my next visit
Love this restaurant and have been coming here for years. Since moving out of London, it is a favourite venue for meeting up with friends for a reunion and I always pre-book a table to ensure we can get in. The food is always superb and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Being a regular, I am aware of the time limit on tables and it's never been an issue. On this occasion however, there was a distinct sense that we were being rushed. One server started clearing our starter plates before we had all finished. This is a clear no-no in any food establishment. We were also informed when we had 20 minutes remaining...at which point desserts and coffee had not even been ordered! Other parties who were already seated when we arrived were still at their tables and there were some empty tables around the restaurant so I'm not sure why there was such an urgency. I fully appreciate from a business point of view, it is unhelpful to have tables being blocked by people nursing a coffee for two hours after their food but I really didn't like feeling that we were on a countdown. Despite this, we will still visit again as it otherwise a fantastic restaurant.
3rd visit and booked it for a family christmas get together. Everyone very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food for the price. Will deffinatly be returning in the new year.
Usually lovely place to meet up. However people seem to get very excited close to Christmas and the noise level was unfortunately too loud to enjoy better.
A wonderful dining experience, as always when visiting Pre Fixe. Incredible food, service and ambience, and so reasonably priced. Will be back again very soon.
Prix FIXE a jewel in soho; sensibly priced, excellent cuisine and beautifully run by Lawrence.
Worth a visit!
A very good find, great value for money with a lovely ambiance. Very good choice of food, when it did arrive it was all delicious. Staff very friendly and always someone around if you needed assistance. If I am ever down watching a show again in this area, will be sure to book this gem. Make sure you do book as was very busy and people couldn’t get in, if didn’t have a table booked.
Very good food reasonably priced.
Did not have something I wanted on the menu however the one I picked instead was fantastic!
Excellent food, good portion size and fantastic value
Lively French Bistro. Nothing negative to say! Been many times and never disappointed. Superb set menu great value and portion size. Great friendly service. Definitely recommended.
Attentive staff, varied menu, nice atmosphere – great location
Absolutely lovely meal here! We had the pre-theatre menu and it was all delicious and brilliant value! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food great and it's like a proper French bistro in there! We will definitely go again.
Food was brilliant. Lovely wine and coffee. Cant fault it.
Excellent value as usual. Service was fine even on a busy lunchtime. The competition for custom in Soho is fierce, yet Prix Fixe always rises to the occasion. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for value and quality.
Excellent menu, food well prepared and served by courteous professional staff.
Lovely little place on Dean Street, we got there early as had theatre tickets. The food was very nice actually, I had the goats cheese on bruschetta on a bed of salad with pear, which was very pleasant followed by the confit of duck which fell off the bone, the jus was rich and delicious. My husband ordered the Dorset crab on sourdough, it looked lovely so I had a touch of food envy. For main he had the bavette steak which was cooked perfectly, still nice and pink in the middle. We accompanied this with 5 glasses of house wine and the bill came to under £85 including service charge. As we arrived early it was fairly quite but by 7pm when we left the place had a lovely hum of activity. My only negative would be that the 2 staff kept themselves behind the bar and I had to try and grab their attention twice, I felt they could have walked around a bit more to see if any customers needed anything. Apart from that, had a lovely meal and evening.
