La Voile Brookline

About
After La Voile Newbury, the new Brookline location, on Washington square conveys the unpretentious elegance of a French Brasserie with the warmth of a Bistrot. True to its name the decor has a distinct nautical theme, with photographs of old J-class sailing boats. Classic, genuine, sophisticated palate experience, the menu reads like one of Beaudelaire’s poems, words that flow.
About private dining at La Voile
The idea to bring La Voile to Boston came about by a Swiss-American named Pierre, a reporter-photographer, also a sailor by choice & owner of a superbe sailing yacht moored directly across from the restaurant. He soon became a regular customer and a good friend. Over time & many glasses of wine, the plan to open a restaurant in Boston together was hatched.
A Genuine & Exciting Experience
Everything was brought over… the zinc bar, the tables and chairs, the wooden wine fridge (an old Butcher’s fridge), the marble console, the vintage chandeliers, sailing pictures, the entrance door… even the staff! you can admire on the walls the unique and private collection of Pierre work, From Dali to Steve McQueen, through Catherine Deneuve and Hubert Beuve-Méry, your eyes won’t stop hopping from one picture to another.
